Very nice notes, you can tell the large ones had big purchasing power when measured against gold & commodities at the time. Excellent presentation. 👍

Thank you. Most notes of the time had high purchaising power, people still prefered bullion coins, because of trust issues. Now is a totally different world, most people dont want gold coin anymore.

These were too much money at the time ..nowdays they can be found in huge quintities for me the 1000 mark is a nice to have note in a collection i happen to have a 1903 year witch is a little more scarce than the 1910 ...anyway there is huge variation in these notes

Yes it was alot of money, but as the 1910 dated 1000 mark was issued to 1922 during the start of the hyperinflation, they would have been fairly common and kept, hence why they are also common and cheap today.

@@Gumardee_coins_and_banknotes i heard a story that some decades ago these 1910 notes were hard to find until they discovered a huge quintity of them in mines (germans didnt destroy their notes they just buried them..dont know how true that is i v seen also some photos of banknotes buried in mines )

@@Picker94 Oh that sounds interesting, I know they put the East German banknotes in mines, but then they decided to burn them. In Russia they just throw them into fields.
