Its best to try do your certification around 12:01 am (just a minute after midnight) most people try to do it in the morning and it can lag at that time. I did mine around 12:30 am and it was very slow but it worked. Another tip is to use the mobile UI instead on UI online version cuz the mobile version seems to be compressed and is faster. I got paid Sunday night around 9pm. Good luck to all.
I logged into UI Online on SUN 630a. Connected immediately. PAID immediately after submitting. $ in BA EDD card on MON 330a. Transferred to personal account.

I don't see it as taking that government money "fast and easy". I got through on the phone and the representative said he couldn’t find a reason why I’m pending so he said I’d get paid in 24hr and guess what? Still pending! And read an article saying Edd representative are just trying to get people off the phone and not really helping, who knows 🤷🏾♀️
Edd set an appointment was set for April 24 . They cancelled it and I was on pua they messed up and put I was on unemployment . They said they have all information and I haven't heard back . I been waiting since December.
I Spoke to another viewer with the same problem, they called EDD today only to be told they had to wait for one to be scheduled, nothing else could be done. They were also told that the average wait time for an interview is 11 weeks!

@@ImGrantHorn when was the interview scheduled for? on 5/22 EDD said "If people do not receive a call from EDD at there scheduled interview time, they may have confirmed eligibility or resolved the issue" unfortunately that does not help people out compared to a message in there UI inbox or by mail.
So I never received an email on Sunday about my certification so I just went directly to the EDD site and there was one there for me to do. You really need to make sure you know when they send the emails so nothing gets missed.
Got phone interview June 4th. !!! What do they’re. Ask you on the new claim. what should I not say I worked a little and there saying I didn’t report it but I did. Thanks guys
I had four weeks of pending payments but then the weeks after those were being paid, it doesn't make sense, I certify the same way every week. I also got a letter saying my new claim was denied even though I've been unemployed since march 2020 but it also said it shouldn't affect my extended benefits but there is no way to confirm this as it's not reflected on my profile. I emailed my district assembly member as a last ditch effort, we'll see how that goes.
GOT THROUGH and gave requested information about how long until my profile reflects extension ?keep in mind this is an original certification BYE re apply for combined wages in two states
I missed the edd call they actually called earlier than said , it said they would take 10 days to make a decision but it’s been way passed 10 days and payment still says pending.
I finally got through about my pending weeks. I had filed a new claim when my year was up as requested, but it turns out that the first two times I certified were not shown at all. I had to give the certification confirmation number to the person on the phone and then they were able to see them. For some reason the EDD had put those first weeks onto my claim for last year when the pandemic started. They said that they will request those weeks be transferred over to the current extension. It has been a week and still those weeks are pending. I also had another issue that they resolved, so I am getting paid for the most recent weeks, but not for those first two certifications. Calling is the only way to get your pending issues resolved.
BTW my certification is Pending because I got a job like a good American and I reported those earnings like a good American and I worked 22.8 hours both weeks an was told I have excessive earnings for those weeks I certified and got NO MONEY and it is strange because I receive $866.00 and my check was $440.00 from my job and EDD pays me double that but didn't want to give me anything! The next week I was marked for non termination job. Meaning I quit that job and I did! They want you too look for work so When I do look for work I got a job any one of you instead of waiting at home getting fat can get a job if you want one!
I did call but these people who answer the phone are at home and have no concept of customer service and I did finally get a phone interview but I still haven't recieved the call. In all reality they have my last certification shown as PENDING and I do start a new job on the 26th so Happy for that but my bills are behind and we shouldn't rely on the Government they really don't care about us they are chasing votes is all.
I'm not sure if anyone has the same situation as me. PEUC claim, re-submitted on early Apr, have confirmation number, been holding payments for more than 8 weeks, no phone interview schedule etc. Everyone I log into unline UI, there is still a claim status above the orange notification icon though i have already re-submitted the claim.

Cynthia, it definitely sounds like your one of those claims I was talking about. Nothing is being communicated to you at all, and you have no idea if the pending could be because: ID verification, Interview needed, Address verification, etc. Have you attempted to reach out to EDD yet or your State Assembly member?
I already had a 2 hour phone interview an its been over a month i still haven't received my pending payments also I certified on phone Sunday morning an received my regular payment after midnight

Sorry to hear. Update on my situation: someone finally answered this morning, I almost cried of joy, they tried to transferred me to a level 2 specialist, waited for 50 minutes then it just hung up. I think they’re doing it on purpose, to cause more anger to us. And it’s working

I filed a new claim last week. And received payment for one week. Then I certified 2 weeks and didn't receive payment it just says "Not paid" and I got a msg saying to file a new claim
Everything is ok till certified Sunday morning reports my sick leave pay 36 hours 567 to EDD for positives COVID-19 test 5/8 test again 5/11 negative 5/16 negative 5/22 negative ending 5/15 now I have two week pending payment 5/15, 5/22 and EDD is not answer the phone need help
the pending payment problem for my sister and my father is.. they had a balance left before their claim year ended. they filed a new claim and completed everything they needed to do. after their claim got denied, the balance they had left on the claim was always coming back as ''pending''. because they cant reach a 0$ balance the edd never sent them an extension. after my sister reached out to other government officials. they made it so here pending payments were paid. and her balance then reached 0$ and then the edd sent her the message saying they put her on an extension. my father is still stuck in the edd limbo.

I haven't received any PUA benefits at all. I applied last June 2020 when I was sick w/ Covid and let go from my job. I began working a new position in Sept., but was recently laid off. I am actively seeking employment and my mom recently passed, (also Covid related) and I'm scared. I RECEIVED A PUA AWARD LETTER, I have had my ID verified twice and Edd told me my account is active all I need to do is certify. Although I have no way to certify, Edd said my ID has been verified and I need to certify. But, I have no way to certify. Edd said my account may be under my control number on accident, she said accidents do happen? But now what do I do? I have not received any certification papers. So I can't certify. I have another number on some of my Edd paperwork, should I try to certify using that number? I also called Edd to ask if I should apply again because I just got laid off and Edd said no, your case is open until December 2021. Will someone please help me be able to certify and figure this out? I called, and called, and called, I even called my state assembly and left a message. No return call? I was sick with Covid, lost my job, and have received no unemployment/PUA relief at all. I am so sad, frustrated, lonely, and have received nothing but busy Edd phone lines, no return Edd emails, and doors slammed shut in my face, no one cares, no answers. Is anybody out there listening!!? Online they have been crying about 3 weeks, I have been waiting almost a year! Not waiting, but needing the PUA benefit, while I look for a new job. I totally gave up on the edd, I haven’t been able to call for the past 2 weeks cause my phone lines are off, gotta go to other people’s houses to use the WiFi and try to use their phone to call. Wasn’t getting through before not getting through now.. it’s just pointless & ive been looking for work but Jesus is it stressful lol

Kind of hard not to give up when I already know what to expect everytime I call and log in to see if it changed or not ahaha
@@true0neslast_91 keep trying to email them , I had the same issue I was able to email them about 4 times and finally got paid my 8 weeks pending , sometimes won’t let u email them try again after 30 mins, also I noted that when U email them and write a whole book the system will say invalid question

I have an available balance. Certified for the first two weeks on that extension and received my payment with no problem. But the 6 weeks following those initial payments are all stuck in pending. How is it that they automatically extended me, gave me my new balance, paid my first two certifications, but then just let all my following certifications sit in pending. Make it make sense please. Last payment was received on April 9th. No payments after that.

I like your show it is the most informative went out there okay I got my benefits I got paid for 6 weeks I have a one-year extension and now I cannot certify what is going on up there with the EDD it seems like they're playing games with my account I wish that they would give a federal auditor find a solution with all these backlog accounts we are real people with real payments with a real rent do with real car payments due I think if the shoe was on the other foot the EDD workers with the man their benefits I think some kind of drastic example should be made out of the people that are bumbling the show

I received a text message from EDD saying that they have extended my PEUC claim until September 4, 2021. I have certified for 4 weeks (04/18 to 05/01; 05/02 to 05/15) but still haven't received payment. This message was sent to me after I've filed my claim. Do I still need the interview?

funny thing about me is that when my first year end i still had 3 week available and they pay me does 3 weeks first and today i certify my 8 week of the new year of edd will see if they will pay me tomorrow or not , finger cross.

My claim status says I need to file a new claim when my claim is exhausted. I did get a new extension through PUA and got approved and EDD says if I got extended through the PUA I don’t have to do anything to my claim status. I got paid the first two weeks and got paid on 4/11/21 but ever since that I haven’t got paid it let’s me certify for my weeks and says they received my certification weeks, but EDD doesn’t pay out why?

I certified for the weeks from 04/25/2021-05/08/2021 but I didn't get anything plus I couldn't find them in my history ( not even pending, they're just completely gone ). Will I ever get that money back?
I had the same issue and I called and finally got through and I had to give them the certification confirmation number and they found them. You have to keep calling and give them the confirmation number which is listed on your claim history on your account online.

Used Claimyr to get through. It costs $20 and they auto-dial until you are connected. First time it took 2 hours but I got through and was told that I had to speak with a supervisor, I remained on hold for the rest of the day 4.5 hours until the call dropped. Claimyr then redialed at no cost (24 hour period) and I was connected the next morning by 9am. This rep indicated that..duh…I did not have my phone interview. So I said great, ask me whatever you want and was told that is handled by a different team and the average wait time for said interviews is 11 weeks. I am on week 7. I asked how in the world I would have known this and she said I should or will get a letter or an e-Mail, probably and indicated that, clearly, I was just bothering her with all my unnecessary, pointless questions from this point. Money well spent as dialing them was making my blood boil but there was no relief in actually getting through. Wish you all the best.

What a complete breakdown of a publicly funded, vital system designed to provide relief during hardship. I give up 33% of my income in taxes to fund infrastructure including these required “insurance” products: Unemployment Insurance, Medicare and Social Security. I don’t complain because I believe it is fair that I pay in now and in return, when I need these benefits, they will be there for me. Not in 11 or 12 weeks with no idea how long it will really take. I can only hope other public programs do not become the embodiment of failure that the EDD is at this point. I have never felt this way about anything else but I would actually prefer to deal with the DMV at this point. Give me a long line and a wasted day anytime over this void of assistance. The rep indicated that my phone interview was scheduled for Friday ( I got the letter in the mail on Friday AFTER the call was supposed to happen) and that she could clarify the info prior to my scheduled call. We talked for ten minutes and they paid me the next day. They made individual deposits for all 2 week periods but it added up to the total I was expecting for 14 weeks of back pay. Hang in there guys. Attitudes seem to have changed somewhat among their staff. I had contacted my assembly member and never heard a word back from them after the third time I followed up. That was pointless.
I waited 5 months! Yes, 5 months it took.I had given up on seeing anything, but thankfully last week I got a call and got half of my money. I'm just grateful for getting something, but have to reapply for the other half. I'm just trying to let you know it can be awhile, and most importantly you better answer the calls from unknown numbers! Even my state rep warned me about it and I almost didn't answer the call due to scammers but thankfully I answered it, and had 5k deposited the next day! Stay strong and don't give up! Edit: My interview call came from a ( 916) area code, but my state representative warned me to answer all calls from unknown, private, or not recognizing it, and even warned me to shut off any type of apps having to do with screening potential scamming calls.
Filed a new claim for end of benefit year. and received my new "Award Letter" 4/21, and NEW Debit Card approval with the note - "if you have already have one, disregard"... Still in Pending.
Same, I got an award letter, EVEN THOUGH I didn't finish my new benefit year application! So now the info they have for why I "left" my job and amount of time worked last year is all wrong... and I'm still pending since March with no inbox messages. Ugh. EDD is just terrible :(
I refiled on Apr11, Award letter 4/23. Waited till May 15, no update on balance and no certify button. I called EDD, I reach a TIER 1 CS. She updated my claim balance and the certify button was available for me to certify back for 4 weeks. But the payments were pending. Then she transferred me to payment specialist. After 2 hours waiting, that specialist released the payment to PAID. I received the money 2 am at midnight. Please call EDD whenever after 3 days pending. Better and easier to get through to edd : Wed to Sun 8 - 9:45am ,1:15 -2:45 pm. GOOD LUCK

I was told something similar, and ya still pending lol I read that asking for a tier 2 rep can help.

For some reason the EDD had put those first weeks onto my claim for last year when the pandemic started. They said that they will request those weeks be transferred over to the current extension. It has been a week and still those weeks are pending. I also had another issue that they resolved, so I am getting paid for the most recent weeks, but not for those first two certifications. Calling is the only way to get your pending issues resolved.

BTW my certification is Pending because I got a job like a good American and I reported those earnings like a good American and I worked 22.8 hours both weeks an was told I have excessive earnings for those weeks I certified and got NO MONEY and it is strange because I receive $866.00 and my check was $440.00 from my job and EDD pays me double that but didn't want to give me anything! The next week I was marked for non termination job. Meaning I quit that job and I did! They want you too look for work so When I do look for work I got a job any one of you instead of waiting at home getting fat can get a job if you want one!
I did call but these people who answer the phone are at home and have no concept of customer service and I did finally get a phone interview but I still haven't recieved the call. In all reality they have my last certification shown as PENDING and I do start a new job on the 26th so Happy for that but my bills are behind and we shouldn't rely on the Government they really don't care about us they are chasing votes is all.
Note that EDD Tele-Cert only allows YES or NO responses. If u have hours worked to report Tele-Cert will not allow you to complete certification!
I missed my phone interview 🤦♀️ but I’m not sure why I was given one Bc I won my appeal, so automatically I’m eligible for benefits right?

I'm not sure if anyone has the same situation as me. PEUC claim, re-submitted on early Apr, have confirmation number, been holding payments for more than 8 weeks, no phone interview schedule etc. Everyone I log into unline UI, there is still a claim status above the orange notification icon though i have already re-submitted the claim.
Does your payment shows pending ? I email them 4 times and after 2 month I got pay my 8 weeks

Yuck! After multiple phone calls and a month, I had wefiled and finally got paid! So excited! Then today I get to denial letters that I have a invalid claim! What the heck! Now I’m back to square one?

Cynthia, it definitely sounds like your one of those claims I was talking about. Nothing is being communicated to you at all, and you have no idea if the pending could be because: ID verification, Interview needed, Address verification, etc. Have you attempted to reach out to EDD yet or your State Assembly member?

Update on my situation: someone finally answered this morning, I almost cried of joy, they tried to transferred me to a level 2 specialist, waited for 50 minutes then it just hung up. I think they’re doing it on purpose, to cause more anger to us. And it’s working

I filed a new claim last week. And received payment for one week. Then I certified 2 weeks and didn't receive payment it just says "Not paid" and I got a msg saying to file a new claim

the pending payment problem for my sister and my father is.. they had a balance left before their claim year ended. they filed a new claim and completed everything they needed to do. after their claim got denied, the balance they had left on the claim was always coming back as ''pending''. because they cant reach a 0$ balance the edd never sent them an extension. after my sister reached out to other government officials. they made it so here pending payments were paid. and her balance then reached 0$ and then the edd sent her the message saying they put her on an extension. my father is still stuck in the edd limbo.

I haven't received any PUA benefits at all. I applied last June 2020 when I was sick w/ Covid and let go from my job. I began working a new position in Sept., but was recently laid off. I am actively seeking employment and my mom recently passed, (also Covid related) and I'm scared. I RECEIVED A PUA AWARD LETTER, I have had my ID verified twice and Edd told me my account is active all I need to do is certify. Although I have no way to certify, Edd said my ID has been verified and I need to certify. But, I have no way to certify. Edd said my account may be under my control number on accident, she said accidents do happen? But now what do I do? I have not received any certification papers. So I can't certify. I have another number on some of my Edd paperwork, should I try to certify using that number? I also called Edd to ask if I should apply again because I just got laid off and Edd said no, your case is open until December 2021. Will someone please help me be able to certify and figure this out? I called, and called, and called, I even called my state assembly and left a message. No return call? I was sick with Covid, lost my job, and have received no unemployment/PUA relief at all. I am so sad, frustrated, lonely, and have received nothing but busy Edd phone lines, no return Edd emails, and doors slammed shut in my face, no one cares, no answers. Is anybody out there listening!!? Online they have been crying about 3 weeks, I have been waiting almost a year! Not waiting, but needing the PUA benefit, while I look for a new job.
Thank you in advance for your help with this overdue,(1yr) extremely frustrating situation. PS It is not even a lot of money, but I need my unemployment so I can put gas in my car, fix my car and survive until I find a new job. I believe this is how it is to be used.

I totally gave up on the edd, I haven’t been able to call for the past 2 weeks cause my phone lines are off, gotta go to other people’s houses to use the WiFi and try to use their phone to call. Kind of hard not to give up when I already know what to expect everytime I call and log in to see if it changed or not ahaha
@@true0neslast_91 keep trying to email them , I had the same issue I was able to email them about 4 times and finally got paid my 8 weeks pending , sometimes won’t let u email them try again after 30 mins, also I noted that when U email them and write a whole book the system will say invalid question

I have an available balance. Certified for the first two weeks on that extension and received my payment with no problem. But the 6 weeks following those initial payments are all stuck in pending. How is it that they automatically extended me, gave me my new balance, paid my first two certifications, but then just let all my following certifications sit in pending. Make it make sense please. Last payment was received on April 9th. No payments after that.

I like your show it is the most informative went out there okay I got my benefits I got paid for 6 weeks I have a one-year extension and now I cannot certify what is going on up there with the EDD it seems like they're playing games with my account I wish that they would give a federal auditor find a solution with all these backlog accounts we are real people with real payments with a real rent do with real car payments due I think if the shoe was on the other foot the EDD workers with the man their benefits I think some kind of drastic example should be made out of the people that are bumbling the show

I received a text message from EDD saying that they have extended my PEUC claim until September 4, 2021. I have certified for 4 weeks (04/18 to 05/01; 05/02 to 05/15) but still haven't received payment. This message was sent to me after I've filed my claim. Do I still need the interview?

Hey man probably you've already said it on the video and i'm sorry for asking info you've already explained but, my case is this.....I'm PEUC and 2 weeks ago i called a EDD rep, he helped me get my pending weeks and my benefit year ended on May 13, but a few days ago i saw that my claim balance got 7,707 dlls when i had 0 dlls, do i have still open a new claim or i can certify normally? 😰
funny thing about me is that when my first year end i still had 3 week available and they pay me does 3 weeks first and today i certify my 8 week of the new year of edd will see if they will pay me tomorrow or not , finger cross.

@@pokkiman7500 my EDD claim expired 8 weeks ago , so I just kept certifying and I email them like 4 times and I got paid the 2 month ( 8 weeks) they owe me today , also I got a email saying I had to re apply for new claim which I didn’t cause my understand is I’m under Pandemic Unemployment Assistance which they said don’t submit a new claim , it will be automatically done and Id work for me just sucks I had to wait 2 month to get paid but all good now

My claim status says I need to file a new claim when my claim is exhausted. I did get a new extension through PUA and got approved and EDD says if I got extended through the PUA I don’t have to do anything to my claim status. I got paid the first two weeks and got paid on 4/11/21 but ever since that I haven’t got paid it let’s me certify for my weeks and says they received my certification weeks, but EDD doesn’t pay out why?
@Lone Ranger did you not read it correctly? I did file a new claim and it got approved and EDD even started paying me, but is automatically just stopped. I filed a new claim after my year was up. If I file another one I would have two claims and most likely have to pay EDD back if I have two claims. I first filed 3/20 and it exhausted 3/21 I filed a new claim it got approved and my new claim paid me on 4/11/21 but that was it, it just automatically stopped.

I certified for the weeks from 04/25/2021-05/08/2021 but I didn't get anything plus I couldn't find them in my history ( not even pending, they're just completely gone ). Will I ever get that money back?
I had the same issue and I called and finally got through and I had to give them the certification confirmation number and they found them. You have to keep calling and give them the confirmation number which is listed on your claim history on your account online.

Used Claimyr to get through. It costs $20 and they auto-dial until you are connected. First time it took 2 hours but I got through and was told that I had to speak with a supervisor, I remained on hold for the rest of the day 4.5 hours until the call dropped. Claimyr then redialed at no cost (24 hour period) and I was connected the next morning by 9am. This rep indicated that..duh…I did not have my phone interview. So I said great, ask me whatever you want and was told that is handled by a different team and the average wait time for said interviews is 11 weeks. I am on week 7. I asked how in the world I would have known this and she said I should or will get a letter or an e-Mail, probably and indicated that, clearly, I was just bothering her with all my unnecessary, pointless questions from this point. Money well spent as dialing them was making my blood boil but there was no relief in actually getting through. Wish you all the best.
Dan, what is happening to you is yet another example when it comes to no official communication, and exactly what I mentioned in the video. It really does seem to be happening more and more, and the 11 week average wait time for an interview is beyond alarming!! Can you please let us know what happens?

What a complete breakdown of a publicly funded, vital system designed to provide relief during hardship. I give up 33% of my income in taxes to fund infrastructure including these required “insurance” products: Unemployment Insurance, Medicare and Social Security. I don’t complain because I believe it is fair that I pay in now and in return, when I need these benefits, they will be there for me. Not in 11 or 12 weeks with no idea how long it will really take. I can only hope other public programs do not become the embodiment of failure that the EDD is at this point. I have never felt this way about anything else but I would actually prefer to deal with the DMV at this point. Give me a long line and a wasted day anytime over this void of assistance. Thank you for the channel and your updates. The information is otherwise scarce and the complete lack of communication is appalling.

The rep indicated that my phone interview was scheduled for Friday ( I got the letter in the mail on Friday AFTER the call was supposed to happen) and that she could clarify the info prior to my scheduled call. We talked for ten minutes and they paid me the next day. They made individual deposits for all 2 week periods but it added up to the total I was expecting for 14 weeks of back pay. Hang in there guys. Attitudes seem to have changed somewhat among their staff. I had contacted my assembly member and never heard a word back from them after the third time I followed up. That was pointless.
I am still waiting for them to schedule me an interview as they told me I need one. Idk when that is going to be.

I waited 5 months! Yes, 5 months it took.I had given up on seeing anything, but thankfully last week I got a call and got half of my money. I'm just grateful for getting something, but have to reapply for the other half. I'm just trying to let you know it can be awhile, and most importantly you better answer the calls from unknown numbers! Even my state rep warned me about it and I almost didn't answer the call due to scammers but thankfully I answered it, and had 5k deposited the next day! Stay strong and don't give up!
Edit: My interview call came from a ( 916) area code, but my state representative warned me to answer all calls from unknown, private, or not recognizing it, and even warned me to shut off any type of apps having to do with screening potential scamming calls.

Filed a new claim for end of benefit year. and received my new "Award Letter" 4/21, and NEW Debit Card approval with the note - "if you have already have one, disregard"... Still in Pending.
How long it take u to get the award letter after you applied ? And are u able to certify?
Same, I got an award letter, EVEN THOUGH I didn't finish my new benefit year application! So now the info they have for why I "left" my job and amount of time worked last year is all wrong... and I'm still pending since March with no inbox messages. Ugh. EDD is just terrible :(

I refiled on Apr11, Award letter 4/23. Waited till May 15, no update on balance and no certify button. I called EDD, I reach a TIER 1 CS. She updated my claim balance and the certify button was available for me to certify back for 4 weeks. But the payments were pending. Then she transferred me to payment specialist. After 2 hours waiting, that specialist released the payment to PAID. I received the money 2 am at midnight. Please call EDD whenever after 3 days pending. Better and easier to get through to edd : Wed to Sun 8 - 9:45am ,1:15 -2:45 pm. GOOD LUCK
