The more you have to struggle to finally do something, the more rewarding it is to finally accomplish!
This level took me two months, with a combined play time of over 37 hours, to create and clear. It is probably the hardest level that I've ever made.

Pipe = attempts that made it to the pipe at the end of the first room
Bomb Trick = attempts that made it to the bomb juggle in the second room
Nai = attempts that made it to the Yoshi p-switch ricochet trick.
These numbers were just on the final day of upload attempts. I probably had >200 attempts to the pipe in total, but it wasn't tracked.
"Nai" comes from the japanese word "Yattenai" which basically means "I didn't do it." It all started with this video ( th-cam.com/video/-AdG5sfZV00/w-d-xo.html) , when a japanese streamer screamed "YATTA" (I did it) after finally beating Panga's P-Break level. Now, the mario maker community will often use "Yatta" when they beat a level, and "NAI" or "Yattenai" when you die right at the end of a hard kaizo level.
So those numbers are just for the video, or... it can't be for the entire 37 hour testing cycle. That'd be depressingly low.
Awesome job with your creative tricks. I can imagine people in hell sitting in front of television sets being whipped every time they don't complete the level and have to start over. "ONE MORE!" *whipcrackle*

First of all, never apologise for being a "Grammar Nazi", it shouldn't be a bad thing if some people want to help alleviate some of the mistakes made in a language. They only call people that because they're so afraid of being wrong and having someone correct them that they bash anyone who dares correct them into the ground. It's people like them who cause the standards in society to drop because they're so easily offended and require twenty-four hour babysitting.
Second of all, yeah I'm fairly sure it was a simple typo on Carl's part. (Yes, I know his real name isn't Carl, I haven't been watching him for very long)

I am disappointed that you didn't play "Brainpower" after you beat your level named "Brainpower". :O
I appreciated editing it out, it's funny occasionally but when every other video has the song in it most of the appeal is lost.

Just so that everyone can know this (which I'm sure some people don't), he didn't sit down and play this for 37 hours straight. He played the level for lots of short sessions of probably 30-100 minutes each over the course of a month or two.

36 hours were spent on practicing in the editor and 1 hour into uploading so he spent probably 2 days (because he said "last night" somewhere in the video)

Wow, you're growing really fast on TH-cam. I subscribed when you had only about 20k subs, now you're getting close to 100k!
He's quite good at these levels, edits them in a way that works, and showcases a lot of different level design ideas some of the level creators had.
Seeing moments of him having fun and describing why helps me take notes on ideas for game design choices I can make when developing my current game project (2D platformer). I subscribed as soon as I noticed I can learn a lot from just watching him play different levels.

If you're talking about the flames that he spat out earlier while on yoshi, they can't actually kill him. They went right through him, and would have killed him if they could actually hurt the player.

This level looks like the 6th level of hell, adding no checkpoints on top of this makes it the official 7th circle. Nothing but darkness, rage, anger and enough angst to fill the entirety of the next generations teenagers. Why do you do this to yourself, just watching it is painful but I love it.

That is easily the most legendary ending I have ever seen.
You mention at the beginning that all your previous kaizos have been non-stop action. In Carl of Booty you gave enough time to stop and think about the next part a few times (the only one I've beaten, still incredibly proud of that).
Nice work clearing it! I actually designed this level before Carl of Booty haha.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but I'm somehow extremely impressed by the double POW drop slightly before Yoshi. Like, moreso than anything else in the video.

In this level Carl makes the screen magically blow up, repeatedly. *** He reminds me of a skateboarder trying repeatedly to nail a cool trick. *** The "nai" ない there is actually just the negative verb conjugation, not particular to the causal "to do" yaru やる. For example, "not/don't eat" is "tabenai" 食べない from the verb to eat "taberu" 食べる. It's also the word for "nothing" 無い so I was wondering what nothings he was counting lol. Fun...

I party hard every time you play your "theme" (if I may call it that), do your magic tricks with your sprites and put on your glasses when you finish hard Kaizo levels. :D :D (btw: can anyone tell me whats the "theme" called or rather where I can find it?!)
