You can tell by the timer it was more than twice at 7:33 he was at 244 secs left after the cut the timer was at 344. Still hella impressive I would of liked to this raw just to know how long it took

Nah, he died several times, you can notice by respawns and the timer. Still quite impresive, Ryukahr is one of the best mario maker players in the world, but not even him did it with only two deaths.

Are you kidding me? All the top streamers used 1-5 hours on this. Some poor souls exceeded 20 hours. Then you come and beat it in your 3rd attempt, without even falling all the way down?

You know, you pretty much missed 50% of the level. I don't think a single other person was actually able to benefit from the checkpoint like you did. It truly entertained me to get a visual representation of how skill gaps between players look.
This is one of the reasons why I think Ryu is the best Mario Maker 2 player.
To be fair, blind-landing on the flying ice block TWICE was pretty lucky, lol
Anyone knows how long Ryu actually took for this level - minus the jumpcuts of this video?
@@PresidentScrooge Seems like under 30 min judging the cuts. Just watched Carl's compilation video of other streamers. It's insane how many things Ryu just nailed on the first try where the others struggled for a long time. POOBear did it in 80 min, and most others seem to have spent several hours on it. I saw one guy took 7 hours and another 14 hours.

Well, technically he did fall down with the mushroom once. But he gained a mushroom along with the lost height, so I'll concede that whether that counts as "losing his progress" is up for debate.

Everyone else literally took at least 50 minutes to an hour to complete this level (AND SOME NEEDED A WHOLE LOT MORE HOURS).
You just took less than 20 minutes in stream.

It was probably 20 to 30 minutes when you consider how much was cut out, but still impressive.
If you pay attention to the timer, not a whole lot was cut, so 20 minutes is about right

If he'd gotten that good of a time, I highly doubt he'd have cut the end screen time out of the video, not to mention have needed to edit so much out of the video. I did pay close attn to the timer & I disagree with your assessment.
I'm willing to be proven wrong, hell, I like ryu - I'd love to be wrong! However, I notice he's not saying he did this so fast but his fans are saying it and _that_ someone else saw it in stream, _never the person making the claim_ but no one seems to be able to locate the stream video...things aren't adding up

@@Lady8D what I mean is that based off the timer, I believe that he doesnt have any major stumbles not seen in the video, so all that is cut is repeating progress, something Ryu regularly cuts if nothing interesting happens during it, as for a "good time" it's way better then almost any other streamer, even if we triple my assumed 20 minutes

Like I said, I'll believe all this when I see the uncut video. It's far too easy to make yourself look better at something than you actually are, even doing so accidentally, when the video is edited. Maybe he cut out himself making the same mistakes over and over, showing it more than once wouldn't be very interesting after all...who knows, maybe he fell repeatedly but cut it so it looked like he didn't?
We'll never know unless the uncut footage somehow surfaces

Which brings me to the fact this level isn't really hard as such, it's the wind that is flipping people over.
Ruy could deal with and react to the wind so it really was "just simple platforming" to him.
Other levels add near pixel / near frame perfect jumps and stuff and certain death for failing.
@@RealCadde even for trained player this is tough platforming the reason ryu dies so many times on other lvls is the fact that these lvl are hot garbage

Everyone: gets screwed by the wind and checkpoints and starts over.

I didn't realize how much of a sadistic asshole regularly watching Carl's content has made me, until I watched this video and found it pretty boring, only because Ryu managed to avoid most of the nasty, disgusting trolls in the level.
After watching carl's montage of misery, this was satisfying in a different way. Seeing ryu slide past the trolls and make the level look easy.
I could still be impressed by Ryu's sheer talent level in Mario.
But it's a good thing I own neither this system nor this game, because I would honestly make a lot of just awful levels.
@Tyler Vincent My solution to that is to watch Juzcook for a while, compared to him Carl is a Ryukahr. If I want something calmer again I watch Ryu again, and if I want something even calmer for whatever reason I watch Aurateur.

For anybody curious that's 500 seconds to first timeout 475 seconds until his death by muncher and 291 seconds to win.
That's the trivia bit I was curious about. I'd imagine it is probably the fastest blind first try to completion. I do wonder if Aurateur's been subjected to this yet.

Never got sent to the beginning except for chasing the mushroom first time. Did not use CP1 via mistake or otherwise. Minimal progress loss and ridiculous saves via precision jumps most other streams had no idea about.

Wow, this was the first video about this level I watched and Ryu made it look so easy! I absolutely did NOT realize how hard it was until I watched DGR play it, and then Carl's own compilation/explanation video with all the other streamer's reactions. Ryu's a damn monster at this game!

The Heat 219 it’s funny. Pepenga is a god at kaizo once he practices like hell and makes it look seamless, as well as really good at making kaizo levels spawned from hell. And then there’s Ryu whose a natural god at platforming and makes difficult platforming that is supposed to be practiced a lot look easy and usually gets it in the first try with ease

One of the things I've noticed that Ryu did compared to others was how he fell. Everytime he'd fall there was no panic and he almost always gravitated to the safest microcheckpoint rather than tumble all the way down.
