Long overdue! World Records: 11:1728:2136:4047:20 I'll do my best to get the next installment of Seanhip's amazing puzzles up much quicker next time. Hope you all enjoy :) By the way, Sean has like 7 new puzzles that he's uploaded recently. As long as he keeps making levels, I'll keep playing them!
Those WRs must have been brutally time consuming. Nice dedication amongst all that "important research" (Kappa). Thanks for the entertainment and yummy puns :)
You clearly gave your audience top notch entertainment! Commentaries with explanations, jokes, fun facts, interesting facts, skills and world records! I really liked during your super expert runs when you went through mind fucked levels and you showed the behind the scenes through the level editor. PLEASE MOAR!
You are, by far, my favorite TH-camr. I never grow old of your content, and you have the personality to keep everyone; your goofiness combined with genuine aspirations for fun and entertainment make you so much fun to watch. Proof: you still have fun when everyone else would rage (and the fact that you don't keeps me coming back). Thanks for being awesome Carl!
I just love that you explain everything, and also the editing is really amazing, and you mention how much you beat the world record by, which helps out a lot instead of me scrolling back the video to see how much you beat it by.
At 11:22 that was genius with the reflection in the sunglasses and everything. Also, perfect screencap right there, with the smirk and the shades. What a gangsta!
If you take levels from fans, I worked for about 3 weeks to make this one just for you, if not, well, damn, but it's still a good level, eventually, you would probably see it in super-expert. DE9C-0000-029F-115A It incorporates the worst parts of each of your nemeses (level-wise) that I could think of, and fit in. (No Boots, but there is a Yoshi section) as well as a bit of puzzle and some massive Kaizo blockage. (That last bit you should be able to tell from the name)
My fiance and I usually spend an hour one night a week watching you and/or Poo play SMM. We don't get a lot of quality time together with house renovations + grad school, but we appreciate you producing content that we can be mutually entertained by as a refreshing alternative to Netflix. Keep on keeping on. < 3
Its honestly just impressive how every single time you come out with a video like this you either beat or tie the record for whatever map you were playing.
Check out DashieGames Mario Maker vids. He's got a green screen, plus he moves his facecam around a bit more. Then again, it's probably easier for him in editing since it's not a stream.
I think it's because Mario knocks the block upwards one when he hits it, but when the koopa does, it knocks the block down one, so the fireball ( since its hidden inside ) goes down one too. At least that's what I get from it.
When a fireball spawns, it always returns to its spawn height, so hitting the block from the bottom, making it come out the top, makes it spawn two squares higher than if it had come from the bottom of the note block.
Hitting the note block from below causes the fireball to "spawn" above the note block, causing it to bounce higher. When the Koopaling hits it from the top, it spawns in the space under the note block, so it doesn't bounce up as high.
epic! it's fun watching you and learning how to think.. learning to make better assumptions.. or train ourselves not to make any.. i don't know.. i don't play mario maker.. but! i had a nerdy idea: a Link/Zelda puzzle level called "10th enemy has the bomb" in which somehow mario needs to destroy 10 enemies to release a bomb that will clear the path to victory.. taking inspiration from the original zelda game.. anyway.. cool video.. congrats!
You could probably make a really nice level out of that theme :D Maybe something like 3-5 different challenges that all work like you suggest. Anyway, glad you enjoy the videos!
Congrats on taking my record on Clone Wars puzzle. Loved seeing how you optimized your movements. I kept on trying to beat my time but it always ended up being the same as I had to wait for the goal tape at the end. You actually saved about 8 sec on the WR as mine was 1:00:433 when you took it!
Thanks! Was it mostly due to the double koopa strat at the beginning? Mine could still be improved but I don't know if it would get to a new goal cycle.
I did the double koopa strat as well. It's just the other parts of the puzzle after the pswitch activates that you blew me away. You were able to hit the koopaling before it fell to the ground, you were quicker on sliding yoshi under the gap and you went down to get the goal tape instead of waiting at the top. I didn't even think about doing that. :\
44:09 Usually Carl figures out levels way before me but this time I did before him, mainly because the idea was very simple and Carl is so used to complex things xD
23:09 "If you didn't see it, don't spoil it" - Well, Carl, how do I say this to you... I think it would be FAIRLY HARD for someone who didn't see it to spoil it in the first place. xD
Good stuff @CarlSagan42! I inadvertently discovered that the music from Summer's Rest in World of Warcraft (Mists of Pandaria) is great music for montaging failed attempts at puzzles and levels :)
Carl! your the man! love your videos, great learning stuff! and love your kaizo college levels really helps new players learn the tricky hard stuff! keep at it man, hope to see you one day at AGDQ.
I honestly didn't expect there would be a TH-camr that could make me watch a single video of theirs for longer than 30 minutes. Been on a marathon the past couple of days because science and video games are a golden combo. Also how on earth don't you get any rage attacks haha. I actually got one of his courses during 100 Mario Super Expert. It was called "Dino's Egg Puzzle." From what I saw at the beginning, you need jump on a falling Chomp peg and open the door. A solution for the facecam hiding stuff in the level: making it 90% opacity?
I've tried it and it looks weird, I'll play with it a bit more though.

I'm so happy to see this. I already beat two of them and the other one I couldn't figure out. Your the best Carl.
can someone explain why the fire suddenly gets high enough to grab it? 10:00 im not really following
In the We Are the Champions level, it plays the melody of that song by Queen (e.g. at 29:15)
