So glad I played this. Hearing the word "gaytarded" in 2024 made my soul feel better, and so did "this is the gaaay part".
I think you have to admit though, that even though the lyrics were pure satire/mockery, the actual music was pretty good. Except for the gay part in this particular instance. And not because of the gayness of the gay part. There are songs out there where the gay part just works. This song wasn't one of them.
The opening guitar was good, the breakdown was good, the mosh portion was good, it was all just put together pretty well I think.

Of course, it seems nowadays some bands are the opposite, too, i.e. shredding and sweep picking for most of the song along with constant blast beats, etc. Personally, I find it tiring to listen to those kinds of bands but that's not to say they're bad. It's all a matter of taste. I like songs neither too simple but nor too technical. But then again, what is 'simple' and 'technical' are somewhat subjective, too! :)
