its one of my favorite song and video of Madonna... its basically the ultimate Madonna song in my opinion (its meaning )... its the best answer to the backlash she received after Erotica and today this song is relevant more than ever, with the way the media is bashing her none stop just for being Madonna and because of her age and how the media contently tries to deny her legacy with "next and better" versions of her. well they will never succeed. My fantasy is that she will perform at the Grammy with that song and show the trashy media and all of the millennials haters fucks that she doesn't give a fuck about them.

The next video is to one of my all-time favorite Madonna songs. It’s a collaboration with Massive Attack. I love trip-hop music, so it was everything to me that they worked together. It’s a cover of a Marvin Gaye song. The song is about desire, of course, but the music is quite dark and sexy. It’s a ballad, after all. The video is also quite dark, so be prepared. Knowing your taste, I think you’ll appreciate the art and her look, but it might be too dark idk.. In the video she appears to be anxiously awaiting a lover to call, and it has been likened to Roman Polanski’s breakout film “Repulsion”. Madonna loves to reference film in her work, so it’s possible it served as a bit of visual inspiration. For me, I think it’s one of her softest and feminine looks. She seems so fragile in the video.You can feel her heartache.
The beautiful “I Want You” is next, followed by “You’ll See” (the video being a continuation of “Take A Bow”) and “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore” (one of her most boring videos, though she looks amazing in it!).

Beyonce said M's Human Nature influenced her Single Ladies video, which itself went on to receive beaucoup awards. M has been overlooked and ignored by critics. It was not until Ray of Light, 16 years after her debut, that she was finally recognized by the Grammys, etc. But we as fans know better, don't we? It's such an important era in her career to skip over. That film was the turning point for her - everything about her changed while filming the movie - her voice, attitude, accent and she became very spiritual afterwards which directly lead to the theme of her next album Ray of Light.

Perfect example how you can make an amazing video by being creative even without a huge budget...the song deals with the backlash she received during the Erotica era for being so sexual and controversial at the time. It's really clever how the video represents her feeling restricted. Comparing it to BDSM with the clothes, choreography and Madonna being tied up but at the same time she did it with a wink and made it fun and not too serious. The Absolutely No Regrets at the end is my fave, to everyone who bashed her and said she has gone too far and was over during the Erotica era. She proved you wrong. x
This song and video were direct a response to the media dragging her for releasing the SEX book the previous year. During this time she was constantly shamed for being unapologetically sexual, even though it was common for male artists and they were not shamed for it. That pissed her off a lot and she did a lot of in your face imagery in her videos to intentionally push buttons, hence the sex book. I have loved her since she came out in the 80s and I was a little kid first discovering music.

I'm a little bit older than you...when this came out I was already cooling down with my Madonna obsession...which technically began at 6 in '84 and peaked in '91 with Justify my Love/Blonde Ambition concert/Truth or Dare era... That said, you have to watch her 1990 Vogue live at the VMAs! Lip synched for aesthetic style. The best performance on that shit show ever!(p.s. Blonde Ambition was one of my first concerts when I was like 14.?. I have seen many since and it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen!) Cute review🤗
