    It's amazing how you take your time digging the hole for the pipe to sit in and then you refilling the hole back up again and redressing the ground with seed and straw after you have finished it looks amazing

      Would have been easier to simply put the box down and reverse the chain hooks, then the box would naturally spin the hole to face the machine...

      I was thinking the same. This pond is the total opposite to the overgrown waterholes where Chris normally starts working on.

    Nice job. As the home owner, I would've also added a siphon hydrant (purple in color) for the fire department as an auxiliary water source. Great stuff either way!

      here that not needed the volunteer fire department just pulls in sticks there 10 suction pipe in the pond and suck it out, they do have a 3 phase 550 volt pump house in the river a mile away from the station, that way they can get water on the way back in the winter when theres 4 feet plus of ice over the river. a 10" pipe is plumbed right into the bottom of the river, when they need water from our ponds or any of the many lakes and rivers all around. they drill a hole and drop a 8" steel L pipe in to hook on to

    Thought the customer looked familiar when you pointed out it was that mini you rescued from the mud a few weeks back, lol. Can always tell it's one of your jobs when you're done. Looks clean and tidy. Another job well done.

    You have a great skill to handle all the detailed steps during the work and the results looking amazing. It’s really great to watch your videos!
    I was wondering if you could attach a rope from one corner of the cement overflow to the thumb and then spin the block a little by raising the thumb?
    When you were digging the ditch and piling up the dirt, I wondered if you ever finished up for the day only to find that parked your truck on the wrong side of the ditch?

    A really good pond has some foot deep nesting areas for blue gill... And a little green stuff to grow. Green stuff will get ducks and stuff in to.

    Could you do a few aerial after shot compilations of finish projects say 6 months later, when the grass etc has grown back and the ponds are filled? It would be a really good way to visualize what you are doing and why, and the end effect of all this hard work.

    Even working alone you do an awesome job. That clay reminds me of the clay here in Oregon sticky when wet but dries harder then a rock. Would be cool if you could have hats made with your new logo on it.

      Yea Kirk, I’m from Pearl River, La.myself. And you’re right about the dirt it’s sticky as hell but when it dries out it packs hard as concrete but I work for a company that’s called Leon Lowe and sons. They’re based out of Pearl River Louisiana

    for ballast and fill concrete we put the sack Crete in dry level it to grade and then place the water on top let it soak saves a lot of mess and mixing

    As for his drain line that you capped, he should install a valve in the line eventually that way he can drain it anytime he needs without the bath.

    In case anyone is wondering, the new 18 inch pipe will drain approximately 10,000 gallons a minute.
    The new 18 inch drainage pipe is roughly equivalent to ****sixteen separate 6 inch pipes****

      6" pipe is 28.26 square inches a 18" pipe is 254.34 square inches only 9 times larger

      @@jonschneck4559 -- I know the ratio of the pipes' area, for a flow comparison I used a pipe flow comparison chart, ratio of liquid flow is different from pipe area. For me the math behind fluid flow is too complicated to bother with so I use a chart instead.

    One of the cleanest(least muddy) jobs I’ve seen. Couldn’t ask for better working conditions. As high as that bank is, it would make for a great backstop for shooting from the house or dock.

    Just a another great example why Chris gets these pond jobs.
    Comes with everything he needs. Makes sure to get the right grade without guessing.
    That sheep foot works great, but now I know Chris can work a manual shovel, on those rare occasions.

    When I was an electrician I did quite a few runway lighting projects. We had to encase our conduit in sand before back-filling and compact to soil to the FAAs satisfaction.

    If you had a little rope, you could hook it to the corner of the box and hold the other end of the rope from inside the cab. Might be easier to keep the box orientated how you like it.
