You know, I bet on the other side of those windows, is a fascinated pair of young eyes watching, thinking "I want to do that when I grow up!"

@ngtflyer Likely watching, not likely wishing/dreaming and if they are, their parents will fix that quick. I’ve been in the remodeling trades for 40 years. Only 2 customers have asked me to teach their kids something. Almost all the rest have prevented me from passing on my knowledge.
Clearly, Chris stays busy and likely makes a good living and enjoys his work. Too bad there are few to follow in his footsteps.

When i built my home most of the trades I hired let my 4yr old son help to a degree, he got to run the boom delivering the drywall, skid steer back filling and a mini ex digging in the services. I new the trades to a degree being in them my self. I’m nudging all my children towards the trades we don’t need any more desk jockeys but there’s huge shortages of skilled trades in my area.

That green paint on the manhole cover reminds me of an old grade guy I had on my paving crew. I'd send him out ahead the the crew to dig out additions or whatever prep needed. We always use orange marking paint, but he's colorblind and couldn't see the orange paint on the green grass but green on green shined like a silver dollar for him. Half the time I couldn't see the green on green so I'd mark it out in orange and over lap in green.

Continually amazed by the similar vegetation (With the exception of Chris's favorite snakes) we have from NC to the far north....bloody vines must have been introduced by some well meaning Gardeners!

Most likely and now everyone is regretting it, especially English Ivy. It is great for destroying buildings.

Lots of privet - introduced by gardeners somewhere and birds distribute the seeds far and wide. Glad he's ripping it out.

Got to love it if it wasn't for poor construction of dams and overflows you wouldn't be having as much fun as you are so keep on fixing other people's mess-ups or neglect lol :-) :-) no matter what is still better than McDonald's for a career

I live south of Raleigh in fv. I’ve been wanting to get into this industry for a while. Neat to watch some videos so close to home. I learned a lot

That was quite the mess of vines on that first pull. You thought the same thing as I did - that’s gonna fill the truck in one load.

I love the way you fold up trees. I will have to try that next time I get a chance. I love running mini exes especially Yanmars. 😀
