I love how this song continues the story begun in "Take A Bow"! Madonna's vocals are beyond amazing. I like how the song does the flashbacks to "Take a Bow" with her being in love with Emelio Munoz, the bullfighter. Of course, we don't know what caused the breakup, but she was hurt enough to leave....and then he decides that he regrets whatever happened between them. I've been down that road myself. This song came out when I was 15 and was being bullied at school. I used to listen to it again and again, having a whole different meaning particularly to me. I imagined myself saying the lyrics to my bullies and that gave me strength when I felt broken.
This is one of the most beautiful Madonna ballads, in my opinion 👍. So emotional. I've loved it since I was a kid because my parents bought the "Something To Remember" album back then. 0:52 and 2:21 have always been my favorite parts. There's something haunting and melancholic but yet comforting and soothing about that keyboard sound 🥰. The whole arrangement is brilliant and it's also a wonderful vocal performance.

This song came out when I was 15 and was being bullied at school. I used to listen to it again and again, having a whole different meaning particularly to me. I imagined myself saying the lyrics to my bullies and that gave me strength when I felt broken.

This is one of the most beautiful Madonna ballads, in my opinion 👍. So emotional. I've loved it since I was a kid because my parents bought the "Something To Remember" album back then. 0:52 and 2:21 have always been my favorite parts. There's something haunting and melancholic but yet comforting and soothing about that keyboard sound 🥰. The whole arrangement is brilliant and it's also a wonderful vocal performance.

When I first heard this song my thought was, Madonna has really outdone herself this time. I was working at a hardware in Albuquerque at the time and we had music piped in and playing constantly from one of the local radio stations. When this song would come on people just seemed to stop what they were doing and listen to it. It's like they were mesmerized by the beautiful sound. Probably my most favorite of all Madonna's music.
