I adore biology, I'm going into year 13 having having chose a level biology and its 100% my favourite! I wasn't going to take into originally and I'm so glad I did because I want to study microbiology at uni :) I'm never bored with it and I have taken so many opportunities to expand my knowledge because I cant get enough! Just finished a bio research placement with a PhD student and omg best thing ever!

Thank you so much that you did such an ispiring video😭😭 i was unsure in Biology as a future field, but now i am pretty sure how different it could be, so i am not gonna be lost or without a job (ofc if you like what you do and try not to sit waiting for a chance) I just know that i can find a future job that include Biology and something new which is (May be) connected with people or socializing!

I agree with everything you said, it truly is a fascinating subject :) I still haven't decided what field of biology i'll specialise in in the future (although marine biology is a strong contender haha), but i still have one more year to think things through before going to uni.

I absolutely loved A-level biology, by far my favourite subject!! Loved it so much I’m going to study medical science at uni this year!!🤩🤩🔥
I'm in Australia so my school system is a little different. But at the end of grade 9 (2019) I knew I had to make a decision on what I was going to pick for my electives at the end of the year. So I went to my subject selection night and I was really torn. Sure I liked science and all that but I was never 'great' at it. But after a talk with my year nine science teacher he really encouraged me to pick biology because it's more than just equations and there's a bunch of practical stuff. Cut to two years later and I'm studying biology for my senior years of highschool and it is one of my favourite subjects ever.
Sometimes I feel to give up Bio but this vedio came out to be as Motivation and much more! .

What are the possibilities when it comes to finding a job in the field of biology? Is it possible to finish molecular biology and then go to study forensic science for a master degree?
Job prospects seem very bleak as government continue to cut funding. According to economist the life science industry will soon have a negative return on investment as a whole. if that happens investors might also stop funding science . On top of all that productivity of scientist in biology has been declining to the point that only 40% of Biomedical research can be repeated and used. In addition universities continue to graduate more life science grads then there are careers openings resulting in a hyper competitive job market with low wages.
I hear there are terrible job prospect with only a biology degree resulting
in something like 80% of biology grads going to graduate school for other degrees.. is that true?
