I love hackberry such a great wood to work with an to burn in my cook stove. Splits easy. But l don't use the ones l have. A neighbor have a bunch taken down to clear land. I'm there with tractor an trailer to clear it for him.
Good job making an attractive box out of that small chunk of spalted wood. Loose lids good for people who move between climates and have problems with their wood swelling. (shut up Harry!).
