In the book Companion to Yoga, there are two techniques- Corpse posture and final relaxation. What is the difference? How much time to do each? Which one to do first?
Hi Abhishek, corpse posture is savasana - the posture itself. Final relaxation is a technique/method for relaxing in that posture. So you actually do final relaxation in the corpse pose/savasana. It is typically done for 12 minutes at the end of a 90 minutes Sivananda Class and about 8 minutes in a 60 minutes however. It can just be practiced independently also - 20-30 minutes.
