soy fanatica de todos los productos de Laura Ashley desde hace años , lastima que no este en la argentina
We visited a local LA shop. My wife knew EXACTLY what she wanted but what came across from the sales assistant was that unless we had curtains made 'their' way then we could go somewhere else. ("Oh - we don't do things that way. That's not the Laura Ashley way.") Hitherto my wife has always made her own curtains but illness now makes that impracticable for her.
This attitude strikes me as branding of the worst kind - totally inflexible and unwilling to countenance any method or way of making curtains other than their way. I can only assume they use robots or machines which can't accept any other style, program or instruction.
I must state that if Mrs. Ashley were still "on this earth", that would never have happened.. I opened the third shop in the U.S. in 1979 and my first position was that of "Head of Home furnishings" ( later shop Manager ). Mrs, Ashley passed away in 1985 and the goods are now Chinese ( Mrs. Ashley would be appalled ). I am sorry you were were rudely treated. I was actually allowed to "make" items for the clients and our goal was that every client be well treated..
Good work

Margaret Mehta i agree, it’s sad to see that it’s in the process of being shut down
Oh no ! I didn’t know it was closing. Sad for the workers and the customers.
