I like all your choices. Hopefully you can get the floor in and also finish the pointing work on the outside stones before the winter. We are all in the same boat with our own individual home projects.
The floor is going to look amazing. But lots of very hard work to get it there. Best of luck to you both getting the snug to a relaxing retreat. Seeing all that you have done in the past, I know it will get done before cold sets in and will be beautiful.
Love your lamps that will be most fitting for your snug (had to look this word up😊). What kind of heating will this room have? I’m thinking about limecrete too for my stone donkey stable/tiny house. Will be watching to see how you go❤.
Question's 1 . Is all of the (buildings) ruins is yours? 2. That mix was stiff, very stiff. Is lime crete mixed stiff, make it stronger like concrete ? 3. Have you ever used Himp Crete? I heard it has insulation value. Lots of handwork doing poring a slab.
No, just the main farmhouse is ours. The mix should be quite dry as it helps to stop shrinkage cracks and apparently makes it stronger too and no, we have never used hempcrete.
@@FincaLife Thanks for answering 😊. The building methods Are like night and day, left or right ,where I live there are no rocks All is wood and cement block. I will be watching
Sharon is referring to the little room as a “snog”, but when I look up the definition, I’m not sure I’m hearing her right with my American ears. Anyone have an idea what word she is using?
Patience makes perfect 🙌❤️
Actually, love the limecrete process. Very relaxing to watch. (Also, stone work and pointing 🤌🏻).

Sharon those lanterns will look amazing!
Wow, Andy, that window is beautiful!

Slate flooring sounds good and will last forever 👍

Can’t wait to see the finished room👏👏
That's a thick layer , massive job ahead 👏
Yes indeed...
Another fine project!👍👍
Katzi’s seal of approval on the new window = job well done. 😻
It’s going to be Tillie’s lounge for sure As soon as the fires lit She’ll be down and fast asleep in front of it You two will not get a look in 🤪🤪🤪
Suspect the cats will all be in there too😊
@@sue7190 Oh yes I forgot about them 🤗🤗
Looks like a long old job, but so worth it 🥰
The snug floor is one step closer to sitting in those armchairs infront of the log fire.

Thanks. It would only be right to put a wood burning stove in there
❤❤❤
Andy have you thought of using the pallets to make a 3 Bay compost bin?
That's a great idea! Thanks
Great job as always guys! Hope you’ve had some of this rain down there? Do you give all your mixes 20min before using?
We haven't had any. Normally we just mix with the drill for about 10 minutes but it takes a lot longer to 'fatten' in the mixer.
i love your videos, whereabouts are you? i used to live in Villalonga, just outside Gandia .
We're in Jumilla, Murcia.
👍😎🍻
Can. You put underfloor heating in ???
We could but it's not really practical with solar. A wood burning stove overcomes all :)

@@DB.scale.models Thanks. At the time, they used whatever was available locally. There was no machinery etc, everything was done by hand.
🌟👍👏🍀💐
No dampening of the ground soil prior to the lime screed? Don’t know if it is needed?
There's no point, it's just soil so the limecrete won't adhere to it anyway
What is a snug room
Basically just a cozy little room for relaxing

Snug
Love this 😂 apparently two very British words
