"Pete was looking broken Rickenbackers at me..." 🤣👍
That was a great line wasn't it 😂
Thanks for this. The Who is my favorite group. 🇬🇧
Fantastic! Great work you're doing in getting these interviews. Thanks!
Effin legendary band. Still are !!
Great video, thanks for putting it together!
The who were legendary in the days of my youth. Absolutely crazy.
BIG Who fan. Appreciate this
Great story from Corky! 😅
I love The Who
Listening as I whistle Cobwebs and Strange...
The Bloody Oo
Who?
@@grimmertwin2148 that's right
I believe one of the wildest times was when they toured Australia with small faces Keith moon said it was best tour they did he threw Steve Marriotts new record player though a hotel window, they where two great mod bands,
I saw the Who in 82 at the Tangerine bowl in Orlando, Kenny Jones was fully capable & accepted by the fans, fantastic show 🥁🎸
Buffalo on the same tour, and I concur 100%...
When did Simon Phillips play with Peter Gabriel? I am only aware of Rutherford's album, Smallcreep's Day.
Saw the Who at the Omni. Kenny's tempo wasn't as fast as Moon's but he competently got thru things like Who Are You and Won't Get Fooled Again.
The orrable ooo?😂

@@VRPRocks yeah, I got it. Love these stories. Especially Corky's.
Corky is a hell of a character isn't he 😂
To be honest, it's a miracle Keith Moon lasted until 1978...
I would not have recognised Rod Argent
Possible d avoir les sous titres en franxais... the Who the best !
Simon Phillips is definitely one of the greatest drummers… he was a bit more of a classy type drummer… but he was maybe too good.
Roger says he knocked Pete out but In sure Pete let him because in a fit of rage, 10 Rogers could not win against Pete....but Pete was never really going to take it out on Roger... Pete has lots of rage bity he just couldn't hurt Roger no matter how mad he gets
Roger was much stronger and harder than Pete
Pete can’t fight. Roger can REALLY fight.
It's well known Roger was quite the brawler
not necessarily true...watch them on stage in their prime....it is all in the mind..Pete has allot of rage but he was the genius of the band, he will not beat up his lead singer, the star... instead he built him up to be a tough guy at his own expense.
That was never proven on the contrary, in their prime, Pete had allot of rage...if you have fists, you can fight... sometimes 10 cops can't take down a person that has that much rage... don't underestimate Pete...he was never going to seriously hurt his lead singer, the star of the band.... instead he built him up at his own expense.
It’s good to see that Rod Argent can still bore for England. It you go see the Zombies, each 3 minute song is preceded by Rod telling THE most long winded pointless stories imaginable. I actually think the original Zombies broke up because they couldn’t imagine sitting through those stories for another night.
But they made great music, right? Jeez, dude!
@@keithkoenig5320 Oh, I love the Zombies. It's just Rod Argent that feels he needs to subject the world to what would be average anecdotes from most people, but from him, it's like listening to paint dry.
Really too bad, but Kenny never fit just right. He held back, know what I'm talking about. He was great, successful, in a no-win situation. Then how it ends is pure R&R, with a great musician getting screwed. Bottom line: Jones was a star since he was a teen. The guy is a natural, but can't win a popularity contest with how people want to remember the past. I'll take Jones giving the cost of studio time, but let him go, he needed freedom for fills.
The who ?
Deceptive title, but still well worth watching it
We all know about petes weaknesses.
What weaknesses?
