Or maybe just maybe the Beatles aren’t good…. Much like the rest of euro artists of the time the stuff that made them popular was stolen from blues and soul musicians not borrowed as the narrator may tell you….once there was nothing left to “borrow” where was the good stuff they actually wrote…… so they stole from other musicians…. this supposed revolution era Beatles came from the hippie movement that they originally were against… and lastly they were *NSYNC of the 60s they were a manufactured boy band that was tweaked in the studio by a producer which made them sound “good” they wore matching suits and instead of danced they played instruments… only one I give credit to is George because his Beatle songs were actually well written and do you want to know a secret is sadly underrated

Great rhythm section and production. Well, the production kind of kicks itself up the erse by burying an elephant stomping Clapton solo in white noise.

It's true that The Beatles would've been a very different Band without GEORGE MARTIN.
The Producer of any Band's recordings is responsible for the final sound of the product.
The Producer can decide which instruments play which parts and structure the verses and chorus.
The Producer can decide who sings which harmonies.
The Producer decides a lot more than the listener is aware.
In 1962, at one of their first recording sessions with George Martin, he asked the Beatles " Is there anything you don't like?"
Quick as a flash, George Harrison said "Well, for one thing, I don't like your tie!!"
George Martin later said in an interview that "From that moment, I knew we'd get on very well"

When Townshend said that the Beatles sounded "lousy," he meant it as a compliment (seriously!) because he was explaining to an interviewer why musicians needed to watch out for overpolishing productions. By "lousy," he simply meant that the Beatles embraced a certain cacophonous quality which gave their music texture.

Most of the criticism from these artists is that they seem to think the Beatles songs are too simple and not musically complex. However complexity does not equate with greatness. The Beatles genius is taking what seem to be simple melodies and arranging them into joyful, emotional, or unforgettable tunes. Its as if they were cooks and could take simple ingredients and blend them into an incredibly delicious meal while the clasically trained chef uses expensive ingredients and cooks an unpalatable dish

I fed up with all this talk of 'the best' and 'the greatest' and 'the most loved/hated'. This is art. Not a horse or dog-track race. There are no winners and losers and seconds and also-rans. Art isn't a competition to see who comes out on top. It's not a fast sprint to the finish line against rivalled runners. Some people worship Bob Dylan; others think he sounds like a fog horn winding down. Taste is personal and there is no accounting for it. I like what I like and you do you. That's the way it works. Any artist can learn just as much from the stuff he or she dislikes as from the works that move and inspire them. If we all liked the same things the world would be a very boring place indeed.

Well sir you a far more brave person than I to state what believe on a comment section dominated by people who love the Beatles. I think I am one of the very few who, although there can be no doubt they had talent, It is far not as incredible as some people view it. Since I was teen when they hit the world, many people forget they, in my opinion hit the sweet spot. At the same time they appeared, there was the Vietnam war, anti social protests. The women's movement, the Black pride movement, the non-conformist movement and so their appearance of rebellion struck a chord with the pent-up desires of Americas youth. They challenge the norms of the day and swept up thousands of young folks. One cannot possibly think their first 7 songs were groundbreaking. They stayed on the charts because they were the rage that capture the mindset of thousands of young people and became embedded in the fans base mind set. Had they come about in the 50s or late 70s,80s,90s, I think their initial music would not have resonated as much with American youth. They built such a fan base that as the years went by people believe that most of the music as a group or solo they were creating was fantastic. Full disclosure , I am a Beach Boy Fan. I feel their music captured the quintessential themes of life. The guys sang about fast cars, Friday Nite romance, girl meets guy , guy loses girl, etc. The parties at the Beach. A few more themes , . Think about it ,I want hold your hand, She loves you, Can't but me love, 8 days a week. Michelle, what themes are they referring. Next you Hey Jude, 8 min. of repeating the same 2 lines over and over again,....Let it be was a protest song that struck a nerve with those who were affected by the War and of course the idea of peace in the world. The Beatles themselves said they were influenced by the music of the Fifties. After 1970 just what Music did they influence. It was the disco era about to explode. they hit the sweet spot and in person I can deliver and overwhelming rebuttal to Beatle ardent fans........Thanks for listening and ....Good luck You

@@rustybear5125 You illustrate the fact: those who fell for "Led Zeppelin" were seeking something to equal "The Beatles" who were loved by their older siblings and or parents.
"Led Zeppelin" was hyped up "Yardbirds" and appeared after "The Beatles" broke up. That's why you erroneously include "Led Zeppelin" with "The Betels" and "The Rolling Stones".
Here's a clue for you all: "The Beatles" still outsell even "The Rolling Stones," and "The Rolling Stones" became a band AFTER "The Beatles" were already performing on radio shows, and BEFORE "Led Zeppelin" existed.
When Jimmy Page was looking to resurrect the moribund "Yardbirds" he was going to call the band "The NOEW Yardbirds"; but Keith Moon told him that name would go over like a lead balloon, so he thought up "Led Zeppelin" (look up the "Hindenburg" balloon disaster).
And at least "The Beatles" and "The Rolling Stones" credited the original composers of the songs they covered, which "Led Zeppelin" was OPPOSED to doing because they might have to share the money with their "heroes".

Far outnumbered by those who love the Beatles and were heavily inspired by them. This list includes Kurt Cobain, David Bowie, Jeff Lynn, Billy Corgan, Brian Wilson, Freddie Mercury.
Sounds like half of the people who ”didn’t like” the Beatles are just trying to be contrarian.

If only you could put some of these artists on the same level as the Beatles; most of them don’t even hold a candle. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but in terms of overall songwriting talent, studio innovations, their like-able
personalities, almost nobody holds a candle to them. Also, how many of these artists named here are still just as relevant in pop culture and revered as the Beatles? Certainly not Harry Cowlick Jr😂😂😂

They turned it into an art form ! Period !!!!!!

@@peterchecksfield9958 - Yes, Elvis, Bill Haley and others of that era. As for the Beatles: pretty much a Carl Perkins tribute act at point of formation. Nothing wrong with that, they were clearly tuned in to some great music - but I'll never go along with their partisan audience heralding them as architects of the big bang.
