I am watching this on 12 th December 2023, the day where Charlie Adelson was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences and Donna Adelson his mother ,having been arrested trying to flee the country on a one way ticket to Vietnam where she could not be extradited is currently awaiting trial and in jail. It is fantastic that Law and Crime leave all these proceedings up to watch on TH-cam, as I often go back through cases and watch things I skipped through or missed at the time. Or with some trials I just hear the verdict and then that gets me interested in going back over aspects of a trial . Thank you so much Law and Crime. At the moment Wendy is managing to escape arrest and has only appeared as a witness to date ( in Charlie's trial ) it will be interesting to see how Donna's trial goes and if any more evidence comes to light in order to prove to a jury Wendy's most likely involvement .

I’m just now watching this case as well! I first seen a clip on TT. I feel like Luis is a big asset to this case as to getting the correct people charged and indicted for this! Although I read your first part and got a big spoiler alert lol, I haven’t got to the sentencing part yet! Yes, It’s good to rewatch, catch up, and pick up on the nuances of these cases, Thanks to L-n-C.
I love the codes Rivera used in his message to Garcia.
“ I’m taking classes” “ I’m holding my head up high.”
to me that means, I’ve learned some things. I know what is going on, and I’m still at the top.
He might not be able to read, but he knows the game. He was smart enough to get less time, and LE learned he was truthful.
He let them know that was their second trip up to Tally, and Garcia shot the floorboard in the Prius. Both, establish his truthfulness. The first drive up to Tallahassee was a sweet surprise for LE.

@@normacolon9618 Day 3: Wendi Adelson said a version of what happened, where she saw tape & where turned around when discussing her top to the liquor store
Day 3: Ofc Bill Branno who was on Perimeter detail @ Scene said he saw a darker red, Honda Odyssey minivan. Wendi's Minivan color was related to Ofc Branno upon LEO arriving on scene. Told by the neighbor "G..." who had called 911 previously.
Ofc. Branno, had been told to BOLO for Wendi's Van by Chief officer on scene &, if it showed up; to take no further action than reporting if it showed up.
Ofc. Branno related the red van (Wendi's) traveled further down the street than Wendi had indicated (without having heard her testimony). She would have had to go further down the street as the standard yellow crime tape- although encompassing a few houses- would not have been visible at the head of the street.
Ofc. Branno observed & reported The 'darker Red' Odyssey minivan drive toward crime scene, promptly execute a 3 point turn around, & left the way it came. And that the minivan did these actions without the hesitancy he would reasonably expect a driver surprised by a road closure would display- confidently swift as if expected, but without screeching tires or anything like that.

They told Garcia that Wendi was paying for it when in fact it was Charlie paying. Garcia hated Charlie and would not have worked for him. In order to get him to do the hit, Katie told him it was for Wendi. Ultimately it really was for Wendi but she had no contact with Katie, only Charlie did. No one knows how the murder bill was split within the Adelson family.

With the upmost respect ✊ I don’t like when a judge plays favoritism between attorney’s. While Mrs Katharine’s attorney was steadily being objected & it stood, Mr Luis’s attorney was constantly being objected by both attorneys and the judge overruled them both. I’ve noticed this happened quite often throughout the videos of the trial that I’ve seen thus far. If I’m being a bit petty, I apologize, there’s just been quite a few questions that I thought was pretty relevant from the other attorneys that should have been allowed for answering. (Not to mention I really wanted to hear the answers 😆) This truly is 1 of the most disheartening stories I’ve heard. So many lives that’s been affected & could have been avoided. I’ll never ever understand how certain individuals think that they can play God in others lives, but that they actually think they will get away with it. Truly is so mind boggling. Those who haven’t been caught yet, well, all in due time because God never sleeps!

Amen. I will say this by this being the State's case, they have the obligation to prove guilt thus their witnesses must be clearly heard giving the jury enough information to produce a verdict. Granted the defense will argue and object. But I believe the judge must overrule many of the objections that the jury may hear complete thoughts. 🤔

The prosecutor asks question and he answers, she rephrases his answer to mean a different thing then what he said, and asks more questions on the assumption she understood him correctly and Rivera doesn't notice, or is too tired to try to explain it to her.
Rivera will be their best asset in a case against the Adelson's but he judge is right, the prosecutors questions are too complex. Also when she reads back texts or transcripts it can make it hard to follow sometimes when everything is completely monotone with no inflection or pause to indicate subject A or B. I'm sure the lady is extremely intelligent and detail oriented, but she needs to be able to better utilize the cooperating witness as well as putting just a little more life into the read backs so everything is easier to follow.
