Actual footage of Mega Force! That's gotta be considered a Holy Grail of monster truck videos.
I was thinking that as well. Is this the only footage of Mega Force?
@@MTFREAK4EVER No
Who owned that mega force truck I have never seen it
@@jesset061084 Kevin Dabney was the owner and builder
Monster trucks are the best act that Supercross could hope for! Love seeing the footage of the other trucks as well. Some of this was featured in the first Bigfoot in Action VHS!
And I’m hearing the music in my mind when Bigfoot crushes the cars coming back towards the camera!
Man that was fun watching that, an event featuring Bigfoot 4, Awesome Kong, Blue Thunder, Hercules, Goliath, and Mega Force. I have never seen this before especially with Mega Force performing
I love #4 but, I love seeing all the other CLASSIC trucks too!
Takes me back to happy times. Best time ever. Thanks Bob👍👍👍👍👍👍
3:37 Awesome Kong flexes enough to smash in his own fender.
Best monster truck
Excellent action, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
That Ranger is rough!!!
Awesome video, this is the era of monster trucks I love, more please!!
What a classic
Yay old school footage is coming back!
Nice to see mega force & blue thunder along with Goliath & hercules
Been waiting decades to see this one, clips have been shown over the years. Pretty cool lineup of trucks.
Cool video thanks for sharing
Finally i get to see mega force run. This became alien then chi town hustler then southern hustler and now is red dog. Still runs as a display truck
Loved the track and the trucks. What could be more badass that a chromed engine mounted in your cargo bed?
Holy Grail of vids
my right ear loved this footage >.>
Recorded in 1986 with mono audio
Looks like the Dallas Supercross.
The first red one is like a front loader with bigger tires and a pickup body with its bouncing
This makes me want to play BIGFOOT on the NES again
Texas Stadium in Irving
0:50 stiffffff
Mf awesome to see old school never before seen footage...thank you for this genuinely have never seen megaforce run before this thank you
How do you tell the difference between 3 and 4 with the bullnose front clip?
3 had a factory Ford frame and never had planetaries with the bullnose clip. #4 always had planetaries, even with the bullnose front clip and it had a straight rail frame.
Wow, the trucks were just so stiff back then.
And Blue Thunder started way back when! As a Chevy Camaro though?
Yep, owned by brothers Kirk and Kevin Dabney. SFX would partner with Ford in 2001 to make the Monster Jam Blue Thunder truck.
Is there a part 2😮😮
I’m always amazed how they didn’t think of a proper suspension for the car 😂 The amount of necks mangled in this is ridiculous 😂😎
It's not that they didn't think of it, it's that Monster Trucks had to evolve like anything else. When they first hit the scene publicly in the early 1980's it was just Bigfoot and a couple of others rolling on top of cars slowly, that evolved into doing things like wheel stands and not long after they started doing obstacle courses and eventually full on side by side racing, and it wasn't really until they started doing the obstacle courses and racing that they started recognizing the need to refine the suspensions, it was out of necessity as the sport evolved.
Bob Chandler himself has stated that in the early days he never expected Monster Trucks to turn into the cultural phenomenon that they did and expected them to be little more than a passing fad that would burn out after a few years. What you're seeing in this footage from 1986 was the very early days of Monster Trucks being used in a more aggressive manner, in fact Bigfoot #4 in this video was the first true stage 2 monster truck that was really built specifically for more aggressive driving. It wasn't until Bigfoot #8 in 1989 though with it's long travel suspension did they really start to turn into what they are today.
Its a truck
Supercross?
