I brought my mom from Taipei SongShan/TSA to Vancouver/YVR via Tokyo Haneda/HND once. Love 787 in Star Wars livery (R2-D2) and, of course, Kabosu - ANA in-flight speciality! "ぎりぎり" 1-hour connection for our outbound leg. Then purposeful one-night stopover on our way back few weeks later. Mom just told me to plan another trip maybe some time next year and stretch few more days for Tokyo when returning from Vancouver. Now she's all about ANA, ditching (oh my) EVA Air, Cathay Pacific, Air Canada and others... what I have done!!
Ohhh ギリギリis right!! Just a one hour connection is right. I think my preferred airlines are ANA, Air Canada, and EVA airlines! I remember taking EVA airlines back when I was 18 & 20 years old and being very impressed!

I've seen many of your videos. Most of your destinations are the normal places that Taiwanese or foreigners go for tours. There are 268 mountains higher than 3000 meters in Taiwan. Tens of thouands of trails in the mountains. Those are the treasures of natural beauty in Taiwan. You can try to find more secret spots in Taiwan. Enjoy your life.

@@LayersOfJenn Thank you! I am going to Taiwan to study Mandarin in September and I couldn't even get a visa to transit in Narita Airport (just for a connecting flight) lol. Hopefully they will open the borders so I can visit. Your videos will help me a lot while travelling in Taiwan btw, thanks a lot! I love them! Have fun in Japan!! Kisses and hugs from Brazil!
Hi Jen, what are your thoughts on how the Japanese Gov is still not allowing independent tourists back in? It just seems crazy Japanese citizens/visa holders can leave and enter as they please with the requirements needed(PCR etc), yet any foreigner who wants to enter on tourist visa is completely banned. Im not trying to give hate on your or anyone who can do this, just would like to hear your opinion on it if you feel comfortable enough. I used to travel to Japan once a year before Covid as a tourist and explore many different places similar to what your doing now. Since Japan has closed its borders to foreigners this still hasnt stopped the influx of cases rising in the country and new variants entering the country. Do you think its time for Japan to allow tourists back in so their economy can get some needed help from their tourism industry? im a long time follower of your videos and always enjoy your content, glad you can see your japanese friends again and enjoy the country you call home :).
I find it ridiculous TBH. Taiwan is doing the same thing but a step up with making people go to quarantine hotels. I was only able to get into japan though my husband. I even had to show my household registration upon entering japan to prove I am married etc bc my temporary visa (that said that anyways) wasn’t enough 🙄

Here in the UK they did hotel quarantine and you paid a flat rate of £xxxx and you stayed there for 7 days and if you pass all tests you are allowed to enter the country. I really hope Japanese gov figure out a balance that allows travellers who are willing to be low risk and jump through these type of hoops to enter safely. really appreciate your comments.
