I am glad that there are also Asians from the Central/Western part of the continent instead of only East/South East Asians who mostly represent Asia, while Asia is a meltingpot of Etnicities.
That’s because traditionally people also distinguished other people by races and looks, not by land only. The world population far back wasn’t as much as now. Central Asia has India as biggest/most populous country as representative. Western Asia is often referred as Middle East. The old USSR countries were considered Eastern Europe (I’m not sure how they see them now, but it used to be because they’re white, they’re part of Europe rather than Asia). Finally East/SE Asia was discovered last and called “Asian”. So whenever someone says “Asians”, people would immediately think of East/SE Asians. I even guess European people in the past didn’t even think there was land that passed India further to the east since no one was able to travel that far at the time. When they finally did discover it, they didn’t have a specific name for those people, so they just casually called them Asians.

I’m glad to see a girl from Kazakhstan, but it’s a pity that the association is with the racist film Borat. I hope in the future there will be more videos with her and a normal representation of the country. And yes, the girl looks like a mix because the Kazakhs (like the rest of Central Asians) are a transitional race (Turanids). But we are not a mix of Russians and Chinese, we are mostly Turks (not Turkish).
And girl from Uzbekistan look more Russian (90%) cuz Uzbek ppl have a more Asian or Persian appearance. Boy from another video was chosen better for the representative of an entire nation.

I am glad that there are also Asians from the Central/Western part of the continent instead of only East/South East Asians who mostly represent Asia, while Asia is a meltingpot of Etnicities.
agree, we are a one big family of asians
Yeah me too
Interesting that a Chinese person is missing, because thats what most people think of when they hear the word 'Asia, or Asian people"
That’s because traditionally people also distinguished other people by races and looks, not by land only.

@@jylyjurek howdy dude. Didn't you see dozens of examples of that? I can just bring up one of the examples. When the police, or government structure records videos of convicted people when they apologize for doing smth. And that is just some light stuff like throwing away trash in the wrong place. We have that type of culture where people tend to think that if a person apologises then the problem is gone. So there are examples when people gotta be charged for doing smth wrong but instead that they just apologize and then people are free to go. I even know from the recent news that police structures trying to stop doing that. Recording people and make em apologize cuz that type of solution for the problems is getting too deep in our culture. And just say it basically (уят)

I’m aware that americans are not really educated in geography but just because people from your country loved this shitty movie doesn’t mean that you can mention this movie when you want to talk about our country. we hate borat because people from other countries, when they hear the name of our country, immediately talk about borat, and not about our culture or language. also borat has nothing to do with our country, people, culture and language. this film was made by a british jewish who filmed romani people without their permission, lying to them that it was a documentary. so yeah it’s shitty that americans still think that it is okay to mention borat when they talk about kazakhstan.
p.s. also we are not white, we are not wasians, we are not half-europeans. stop this nonsense that kazakhs are half-european. we don’t have any european blood at all. we are central asians and turkic. kazakh people just look really diverse. there are a lot of kazakhs who look east asian and middle eastern as well. also I expected that the kazakh girl would speak more in kazakh and not the usual greeting
