    Question - why don't u just put the MOST expensive stuff into the container instead? IDK what the mechanics of containers are, that's why I'm curious if there are any advantages of using the container for trash?
    IMO storing the most important loot in the container lets u easily move stuff around:
    1. realize the inventory is full.
    2. open the general inventory
    3. sort by isk value
    4. put the most expensive thing into the container.
    5. jettison the least valuable thing which also takes lots of space.
    Step 4 is viable until the container is full. This way the container always gets the most expensive things u own.
    After the container is full u might also wanna check if u pick up an even more expensive item, but it will be a rare sorting exercise and probably is optional.

      Mechanics of containers = MAGIC. For the small secure container, it only takes up 100m^3 of cargo space, but you can put 120m^3 inside them. pure witchcraft!
      Yes, i usually would put the more expensive stuff into the container, but for this video series i wanted everyone to see the valuable loot in the main cargo so they can see how close we are to 5 Billion isk.
      In reality, cargo space isn't an issue for normal hacking runs, i would stop way before 1 Billion ISK. I will usually put all the loot into the container at the start of a new day of hacking, then i can tell how much i've collected.

      @@alphabob_eveonline gotcha, makes sense :)
      BTW mechanics of containers aren't magic - packing things reduces the volume IRL as well. That's why we pack our bags/suitcases and stomp them with our feet to pack in more XD

    Alpha Bob how to you make this nice AI Voice Over? What tools do you use?

      Thanks! Hacking in these storms feels a lot more dangerous, but in ways it's a bit safer than normal NULL hacking:
      Pros:
      1) No one can use a cloak, so you are safer hacking at a site since no one can be cloaked waiting to kill you.
      2) Since the storm moves slowly (1 system every 1-2 days), you don't have to jump through many gates.
      3) you can make 200M ISK/hr (you can login for 5 minutes and do a few sites if the system is empty)
      Cons:
      1) More competition for sites = often many players in the system.
      2) Hunters know there are explorers here, and will setup bubbles at the gates.
      3) Added stress of always watching out of hunters

      @@alphabob_eveonline I have to try it myself. Seems like the perfect idea for an alpha alt, breaking the routine of main character. Thanks!

    • @alphabob_eveonline
      @alphabob_eveonline  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Enriquemdmr yes, take one of your alts (or even create a 2nd account), fly to one of these storms and park your character there. Then you can login to check for an empty system with a bunch of Relic sites, if there are players there then just play your main.
      This is also why having a small container is a good thing, you can leave it at a bookmark (holding all your loot) when you need to jump gates. Then travel back to jita (with filaments), when you have 500M-1B of loot.

    that is quite weird that you weren't caught on the gate in the bubble. you could reach that system and did your work. very suspicious. did you say in your video that, most probably, players will be caught by stupid heron hunters?

    • @alphabob_eveonline
      @alphabob_eveonline  ปีที่แล้ว

      i did not encounter any warp bubble in this video. i did jump ahead and not show a couple of gate jumps, but there were no bubbles. If there were BUBBLES, i would have shown it in the video. Either i escaped or was killed, but nether happened. At the very end of the video, i did a gate jump with a crane following behind, and an Astero on the other side. but there was no danger.
