As a note from a friend who worked there for a bit, the large pool is shared between the dolphins and belugas, with the dolphins being more active during the day and the belugas at night, so the large pool is used during each species active times. The 4th general pool is normally just open to the Belugas, but is more of an introduction pool for if/when there are new animals being brought in to prevent any potential issues in that it can be "opened" to the main pool or the Beluga pool, but is able to prevent any potential aggression...and can be segregated from the others with an independent filtration to work for quarantine, letting the animals still communicate, but not risking contamination issues. At least, that's what they were told when they worked there when the oceanarium was new
Once when I was visiting the shedd aquarium I was walking by this one area and then a big male sea lion roared in a very booming voice and caught me off guard!
White sided dolphins also inhabit the emerald sea which is a temperate sea that gets its name cause the waters are so dense with plankton that’s waters are emerald green.
My sister's friend have visited there before! If you're doing Episode 100 soon, which zoo or animal park are you going to visit next... A) San Diego Zoo Safari Park B) Woodland Park Zoo C) Sacramento Zoo D) Oakland Zoo E) Monterey Bay Aquarium F) San Francisco Zoo G) Santa Barbara Zoo H) SeaWorld San Diego I) Disney's Animal Kingdom J) Bearizona Park Or K) Phoenix Zoo Bubbling Deltadromeus!🐧🐧🐧🐧

Shedd really outdid themselves with this exhibit. It might be one of the best cetacean facilities ever!
I visited that exhibit more than a hundred times and I love it
The underwater viewing for the cetaceans here is always very fun. I could spend hours watching the Pacific white sided dolphins.
There are two that live with Lolita the killer whale and a small as whale jail in the world Miami Seaquarium
Have not been here since 2005, so much has changed yet still brings back so many memories!
I really like how big those cetacean areas are.
This place is really cool (no pun intended) but we’re also close to reaching Episode *100!*
Absolute favorite zoo tour you ever made! Been waiting for this ever since I set my eyes upon your channel! 😊
Am goin to Chicago for spring break and these Chicago tours are starting to get useful!
Another cool aquarium
Love the videos Zac, keep up the good work
in love with the oceanarium and the animals! i visited it for the first time this spring and it’s really a gorgeous facility
I went to Shedd Aquarium once, and this was by far my favorite (🤩) exhibit.
This place is really really nice and beautiful.
Once when I was visiting the shedd aquarium I was walking by this one area and then a big male sea lion roared in a very booming voice and caught me off guard!
The water should be the same as it is in their natural habitats
I like the additional information. This is your best video yet!!!
Germany loves your videos !!
Love your vids Zach and the narration is perfect!!!
congrats on almost reaching episode 100 you are one of my favorite channels good job
Awesome episode! I might actually be visiting the Shedd Aquarium in about a month or two, so I’m really excited to see this!
Good Job Zac!
I was there yesterday! The seals and belugas look bigger then I remember
Love it. Pitty er don't see many places like this.. :(
Let’s go I was waiting for this
I visited here a few years ago and it was pretty cool but it's sooooo dang busy in Chicago and inside this aquarium.
I really want to visit someday and it looks great.
I see you everywhere are you the dinosaur loving version of owo or justin y?
@@yaboibuggles8188 maybe, I like to make comments lol.
This was awesome! When we seeing Toledo zoo again?? The museum and the botanical gardens need an episode!
White sided dolphins also inhabit the emerald sea which is a temperate sea that gets its name cause the waters are so dense with plankton that’s waters are emerald green.
The best of the best
Could you please do Calgary Zoo some time this year!!!
My sister's friend have visited there before! If you're doing Episode 100 soon, which zoo or animal park are you going to visit next...
A) San Diego Zoo Safari Park
B) Woodland Park Zoo
C) Sacramento Zoo
D) Oakland Zoo
E) Monterey Bay Aquarium
F) San Francisco Zoo
G) Santa Barbara Zoo
H) SeaWorld San Diego
I) Disney's Animal Kingdom
J) Bearizona Park
Or K) Phoenix Zoo
Bubbling Deltadromeus!🐧🐧🐧🐧
Belugas look like they are made of marshmallow
I have some questions what is episode 101, and episode 102
7:59 IS THIS CHILD ON A LEASH?
Yeah you see it from time to time. Embarrassing for everyone that sees it
Question: What are the other two places that holds Pacific White Sided Dolphins? And how deep are their tanks?
SeaWorld Texas, whose dimensions for the Azul tank I could not find, and Lolita's tank at the MiamiSeaquarium, which is 20 feet deep.
Miami's orca and lag exhibit is abhorrently small and depressing. Management has been claiming to want to expand it for decades now.
@@ZooTours seaworld Texas’s depth for the lags and belugas ranges from 20-30 feet
When will you be visiting The Detroit Zoo again
What it lacks in size it makes up for in its history and exhibits that were groundbreaking for its day
When it's confirmed that every square inch is accessible, and when they have the sea otters.
@@ZooTours Yeah it’s been a rough year for The Detroit Zoo
They are set to get a new Director soon so will see how things go
ma l'entrata è fantastica
when is episode 100 coming out?
can you please do an episode at the safari park anther at the san deigo zoo that my home zoo i go like 1 week thank you by or the houlgo zoo
Where are the Orcas?
They've never had any.
When are you going to Disney world to Disney’s animal Kingdom?
When hundreds of thousands of dollars fall into my lap😅
Its a getaway for sure to take the kids however, it is really now so outdated and just there
Did anyone see the beluga poo at the end
