The best sounding one I’ve heard so far is the magna flow, you hear it on the initial acceleration and to anyone who says it doesn’t add more power go ahead and install them and come back and tell me that, this is an amazing car, Thanks you Porsche
Everything I've heard about high flow intakes and or filters is that the tiny amount they might improve performance if any isn't noticeable to the driver what so ever.
We inspect them every 15K miles, I'd say 15-30K miles you can just use compressed air from inside the filter and blast any dust/debris off. Since it's a synthetic material, it doesn't absorb a ton relative to a paper filter. That being said, we would generally replace them instead of cleaning with a soap as you'll loose a small amount of integrity to the material. Usually would take 45-50K miles before they get to that point, just depends on driving conditions. We use them more for performance, I know a lot of filter companies sell on the value of saving money with a lifetime filter, for us, they're cheap enough to just replace!
@@Flat6Motorsports do you think engine air filter should be replaced based on mileage and ignore time frame? Porsche seems to recommend 40,000 miles or 4 years on the stock engine filter. So I was curious if the 4 years matters, on a low driving vehicle. I can't see the filter degrading from a low mileage driven car right? Thanks
@@Potsnu at 4 years a paper based filter should hold up fine. It's usually anything that has been treated or a fluid that can go bad as the chemistry changes over time.
great video. i might go ahead and put that in my 981 GTS. Howver, even tho you mentioned in the video that it is ok for all 981 from the base model to the GT4, on your websites it says it only fits base and S. what am i missing?
AmineGhostDog the GT4 uses the same filters, that page needs to be updated. I'll get on that, was probably loaded prior to the GT4 being released. Thanks!
Hey I'm from the live stream that ended 5 mins ago. I won't buy you mcdonalds but I will sub to your channel. I thought that the way it worked was that if I lost nothing would happen but if I won that means you owe me mcdonalds. But it was a miss understanding. But because I lost the bet, I will sub to you channel is that fine? Thanks! I don't know how I can buy you food so yeah...

This is the type of thing you do when it's time to replace the air fliter anyways
Which ones do you really recommend? Was looking at the BMC or AFE
BMC
need to show the installation of the filters
How do you clean these filters? If not possible to clean, what is the change interval?

Jon @ Flat 6 Motorsports so should be good on gts as well, correct ?
AmineGhostDog yes, that's correct. The all use the same filters and intakes.

ahah all good, was more a joke than anything. sadly my channel has nothing on it ://
33% more airflow at what pressure?
Joel Thompson they measured it at 1.5" H2O which yielded 203 CFM compared to the factory 153 CFM.
