I got a good one for you: The 1982 Germany vs Austria soccer game, also known as the "Disgrace of Gijón," took place during the second round of the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain. The game was played on June 25, 1982, and ended in a 1-0 victory for West Germany. However, the match is remembered for the way it was played, rather than the result. Germany needed to win by a margin of one or two goals to advance to the next round, while Austria only needed to avoid a three-goal defeat to qualify. As a result, the game was played in a cautious and uninspired manner, with both teams appearing to be content with the 1-0 scoreline. The situation was exacerbated by the fact that the game was played after the other match in the group between Algeria and Chile, which Algeria won 3-2, meaning that a 2-0 win for Germany would have sent Algeria through instead of Austria. The lack of attacking intent from both teams led to boos and jeers from the crowd in Gijón, as well as criticism from the media and footballing authorities. The game has been widely regarded as one of the worst examples of unsporting behavior in the history of the World Cup.
Not only is it not just America but Canada too, but it’s just the name of the series. Are the “Worlds” track competition or Olympics always for every European or world team? @@FreshTunaHere The Olympics includes pretty much all countries in the world and the Football ⚽ world cup includes all countries in the world as well the only difference is that they compete in all regions to qualify for the actual world cup, all countries aside from a selected few (like the Olympics includes every countries single continent that have people living on it) actually get to try to become part of the main event. With the US events call "the world event" usually is only north America but from that only Canada and the US that they have international players doesn't make it the "world" event. And one last thing in Football ⚽ every cup that isnt the world cup actually called after the region they play in. TL:DR The US uses the "world" term incorrect because usually only one continent and one country participates in the event.

In regards to the deflate gate. The courts had told Brady that his phone was not part of evidence, and the phone was traded in for a newer model. The NFL lawyers then said that they needed the phone, even though they had agreed that it was useless to their case, and only the day of learning Brady had gotten a new phone demanded that he was destroying evidence.
Still can't believe he was stupid enough to leave that in writing. NEVER text any plans to cheat
@@irondragonmaiden It was never proven that he'd written those texts, nor was it ever proven if the supposed texts were from that phone. But one thing that is interesting, is that the supposed text, didn't share anything connected to his data. Even burner phones can still have a small trace of that. And it was later found out, that some of people working against him in the court case, had lost large bets on the big game that year. And the head of the NFL himself seemed to have suddenly lost $60,000 the next day after the super bowl.

Unfortunately, the North Korean athlete at 24:42 was probably trying to not get murdered by the Kim regime.
The thing with deflategate was that even if brady cheated, they still scored most of their points in the second half, after the balls were reinflated
Which shows they don't really need to cheat but still do it.
It's not like they need a handicap to get them the victory.
It's still cheating, even if you don't actually benefit from it.
@@ndawn90 true, it should still be punished even if they didn't need it or it was shown they DID win without it
it leads to situations where people need to cheat, do it, win and possibly don't get caught, unlike here.

It’s so interesting to find out that people still cheated horribly even back in 1903. I think a lot of times people think about the olden days and how honorable and respectable people were back then, but I guess that’s not the case 😂
Because what western europeans did with natives all over the world was so honorable and respectable.

it was so easy to do as well, no science was around to test for substances that all illegal nowadays. it is the argument people still use to try and justify people like bonds and clemens being in the hall of fame.
25:00 dude most definitely got punished by Kim
Letting them keep it is fine. Every time the team looks at the trophy. It's only natural that anyone with a normal thought process will always remember that it wasn't won it was obtained through deception. For that reason it could possibly become a hindrance against the chance of winning the trophy in the future.
It goes beyond.
You can see with Emily Clark that it is not a matter of cheating, so much as a complete lack of character or any moral value.
I think there's an asterisk by both of those wins in the books...and both teams can't live that disgrace down (and shouldn't)...

I got a good one for you:
The 1982 Germany vs Austria soccer game, also known as the "Disgrace of Gijón," took place during the second round of the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain.
That second “cheat” from Reid is actually allowed. You can ground your club in the rough, just not in the bunker.
I love how the Americans refer to the world series for something that only affects the US.
Not only is it not just America but Canada too, but it’s just the name of the series. Are the “Worlds” track competition or Olympics always for every European or world team? It’s a “regional worlds” whatever title. People are regional, and I don’t think that the supposed “World Cup” includes the whole ball-hit community. C’mon now a lot of people suck, it’s not an American thing.
Like soccer?
Well the MLB teams do have the best players in the world.
Well, what are you? Bri'ish?
