Also gonna defend the dev here. His face looked legit "oops, my bad" Plus ya gotta understand, as a dev, working under the hood, play testing, and live testing, really all starts blurring together. It's a lot mentally and not a stretch he forgot while doing some legit work. Admins are one thing. Devs really have too much shit on their plate to "go stunt on 12 year olds"
There's also 0 motivation for a dev to cheat while streaming their own game. You're trying to feature gameplay to excited viewers about your project, not impressed people with fake skills...
I remember in killzone they used to punish cheaters by redirecting them to special servers where everyone is a cheater, and based on what I've heard it isn't fun at all. But such a cool way to punish cheaters. Edit: damn, if i learned anything from the replies, is that csgo has probably the craziest audience ever.
I have a feeling the developer didn't mean to cheat, they were probably testing this cheat software to see how to counter it then forgot to turn it off. After all if someone is going to cheat then they'd want to be a bit more subtle than making themselves invisible lol.
It wasn't even cheat software. He opened the command menu to fix it. With a developer account, they have access to commands through the command menu that are built into the game that allow them to help players, invisibly monitor games, etcetc. So the odds are he had the invisibility running and just genuinely forgot to turn it off before taking part in the match, as you say.
It's not even cheat software, just a standard dev tool. People who do online admin work in particular often have such tools so that they can observe what players "are doing in the dark", since that's one of the ways you catch cheaters. He apparently had it turned on from when he was doing something else, and forgot to turn it off. If a dev actually wanted to cheat, there are so, so many ways they could accomplish it that don't involve them running around obviously invisible.
I've been GM for Ultima Online for years. You don't know how many times I went to some gamers who made a mess and complained to them forgetting that they didn't see me. It's something that happens, trust me. I give 110% good faith to the guy in question.
The actual thing went more like 'It was purposefully fake, because the run was done as a joke. It was meant to be so super obvious everyone would know it was a joke.' Obviously that's no better an excuse, because its clear from the original run that that wasn't true at the time. Karl Jobst did a great video covering the situation if you want to know more.
And proceeds to launch a career on OnlyFans. Not kidding, she decided to invest in her nude model career after closing her Twitch account. You can still find those pics online and they are quite... interesting.

I agree if your bad at the game no shame to admit it but to use cheats? come on man make it a fair game calling yourself a awesome gamer while using cheats does not mean your an awesome gamer means you probably suck even more than the guy you are beating
For the bug with Marq, I think the Admins' judgment was fair; it's one thing to encounter a bug; it's another to exploit it and use it despite knowing it's not supposed to be happening.
yeah thats wild. all that means is they "had" to do something. but they still want his influence to get money and promote their events. player caught cheating should be banned for life from that event and potentially other events.

I’m glad they included the full missQgemini clip. No other channels include the part where she opens up the menu and keeps playing. The only include the “Clara!” part. The ban is so much more sweet when you see that she pulled up the menu and didn’t even realize other people could see it. Let alone the part where she says people discriminate against her..... SMH
It was so much worse for her when she tried to shift the blame onto someone else. From what I gathered that someone else had absolutely nothing to do with the CS: GO match too.
More Free to Play games need to follow Path of Exile. You pay for cosmetic, convenience and to support the dev. You can basically play the entire game withhout paying a single dime.
Idk I seen people get banned for that shit but in my opinion abusing a glitchy game is not cheating. That’s the devs faults 100%. That being said you are still a POS for glitching a game online to win but like money dupe glitches and shit in GTA should have never been ban-able offenses in my opinion. But again I do think it’s scummy but it’s not cheating
I feel sorry for the Dev guy^^ I can fully understand that he got some cheats for developing, monitoring and fixing bugs. So he definitly just forgot to turn them off.
The worst part of the forsaken cheat was the result for his teammates. This was their big chance to become well-known on the pro scene and instead their forever associated with his actions.
@@mattiemathis9549 Must have been how the Louisville Grays (an early Major League Baseball team) felt when they learned that WHY they had lost the 1877 National League pennant: four of their teammates had been bribed to throw games. The team went belly-up soon after--people had not yet learned how to reliably keep even losing and disgraced teams financially solvent--and the original St. Louis Brown Stockings, who had acquired two of the guilty players in a trade before the truth was discovered, also went under.
Gamers are true gamers because they’re playing games. Simple as that. Doesn’t matter if they’re cheating, they’re still playing games though. But it’s unacceptable when they try to lie about it.
The H1Z1 dev actually let the other team win when he realized he forgot to turn off his invisibility. if only you played the clip for a few more seconds he could have answered your question.
I'm the type to look into things more extensively. In his case, I could see in his facce he realized he had fucked up and honestly didn't mean to be cheating. So that makes Sense.
Yeah it was technically cheating, but he stopped the moment he realized what happened. Which is definitely good and thx for saying what happened next. He really looked like it was just a mistake.
11:04 For context, in case anyone is wondering. And yes, from the full clip, the dev guy did genuinely forget that he had dev tools on and was quite apologetic and remorseful. Not intentionally cheating per se, and not even in a competitive tournament, just a casual match demonstrating the game with a minor mental lapse.
It’s so frustrating when people use the “it’s because I’m a woman “ excuse. Happens way too often nowadays, and discredits the scenarios where it’s appropriate to say.
That's why sane people don't support modern "feminism." Way too many women use having a vagina as an excuse to get by with being a terrible person and/or constantly making themselves out to be victims. They claim to be such "strong, independent" people, yet any time they can tear down a man and place the blame on them, they do it. They don't want to have any personal accountability. Like using the b.s., made up "internalized misogyny" excuse for why some women actually think for themselves and don't automatically support someone just because they're also a woman. Don't believe in treating sex like it's shaking hands? Internalized misogyny! Believe in putting the person you love before a career? Internalized misogyny!

Some developers sell cheats
It's not even cheat software, just a standard dev tool. People who do online admin work in particular often have such tools so that they can observe what players "are doing in the dark", since that's one of the ways you catch cheaters. He apparently had it turned on from when he was doing something else, and forgot to turn it off.
If a dev actually wanted to cheat, there are so, so many ways they could accomplish it that don't involve them running around obviously invisible.

MissQGemini: "Everyone accuses me of cheating cuz I am a female"
Her again:- *Uses a chest software right after saying that statement*
Her:- *realises what she did*
Her again:- It was Clara! I SWEAR IT WAS NOT ME!
Thank you for the unnecessary subtitles.
It is funny how she IMMEDIATELY blamed her cheating on a woman lol.
Remember the old saying about someone who is protesting too loudly?
@@decco9049 right? Like why? So many people do it and I don't get it. It's not funny.
@@decco9049 Chetah here!
I love how he pronounces multiplayer “Multaplayer”
accent
thats how it is in Southern US too lol
@@ceedy.duce_2291 lol
What is FBI doing here
Just how I pronounce "Anti-Hero" --> "An-thai" Hero instead of "An-tee" Hero.
It’s honestly sad that they brag about their skills at these games and say that you’re bad at the game to cover up their own insecurities about being bad at the game.
I hate when my friend comes over and downloads cheating software to my games then hacks my comp and moves my mouse to turn them on in the middle of live streams. Ughhhh! 😆
xQc was in the right there, his explanation is logical, when u put up an emulator for a pokemon game, u have to make a folder for a randomizer and if u change ur difficulty settings or optimize ur run based on what u want to do then it creates a folder named "cheats" which u have to load in with ur save file in the game. Its sometimes essential to even run the game with the older versions. Its not categorized as cheating, but modding :).
Not in the right for the stream sniping, though
@@potatogamerfiber yeah thats not what i was talking about here though
I agree because he was not proven guilty for that but streaming sniping is cheating!
I have ppsspp and emulator and it really creates a cheat folder automatically even though u dont have any intention to cheat.
xQc shouldn't stick with pokemon and he should have stuck with learning what he did
This was seriously one of the most satisfying videos I've ever watched
Legend says Clara is still at large and is considered highly dangerous
