- The Circular Bagua Pole form is one of two pole forms in the Baguazhang system with the other being a linear form. One of the many weapon sets, the Pole form develops powerful body mechanics to enhance every part of your Bagua training. I will be teaching the postures and breaking this form down in future videos, exploring the Health benefits and Self-Defense applications.

Thanks for another great video! Great description of the movements.and i like your emphasizing (making it loud enough to hear well) of your breath,so one can get an idea of where you use inhale/exhale.
The t shirt with bare arms makes the movements pretty clear, against the dark wall background, too.
Thanks again for your practice, knowledge, and especially, the generosity of sharing the martial arts you know,in such a clear and precise way.
Is there single short stick or double short stick form (a la kali/eskrima) in bagua?
Not that I know of, but there is a double hook knife form, that sticks could be used for.
@@thekungfuplatformOh, is that different from the deer horn knife form? I'm watching that now and I don't think I can do that :(
@@outerlast yes, the hook knives look like small curved machetes.

I never knew there was a weapon application 🤔
Yes, we have combat applications and training drills for every single one of the bagua forms.
To my understanding, almost all traditional Chinese internal martial arts were derived from a weapons form, mostly from spears and pole arms, since you need proper body mechanics to manipulate them for speed and power. So it's actually the other way around, I'd be more surprised if an internal art did not have a weapons application.
@@johnlloyddy7016 Not Tai chi
@@vijayvijay4123 actually, Tai Chi has a sword and pole form. They're considered advanced training.
