I own the 532H and love it, and I've owned a lot over my 40 years in this hobby. It sounds balanced, nothing sticks out or is being pushed forward like many amps that cost as much or much more. As far as bass it is as good as the recording or your speakers can provide. Love the amp so much along with the matching 326S preamp that I never look anymore for a new amp. This amp proves that you can get superb sound without paying for overbuilt case work amps to justify their asking price. The 532H sounds superb with my Quad ESL 63s which were totally rebuilt by Electrostatic solutions and my Spatial Open Baffle speakers. 2 totally different designs and the 532H drives them with never sounding forward, hard or bright but from the high down reproduced in perfect balance. A kettle drum hit is fast deep and clear, with no overhang or boom. Vocals are as real as the recording allows, highs are open and airy, the power cord makes a big impact on the amp and preamp, and the amp does run hot and sounds better after being in use for a 1/2 or so. Great amp and a good buy on the preowned market.

Running a 585.5 and demo’d that against Ayre, and Hegel top of the line intefpgrateds and bought the 585.5…..It was more articulate, had better resolution, great midrange tone with wonderful dynamics…..and oh…that bass. Wow. Controlled and layered. Often wonder where Accuphase sits in this area. Mac is sluggish and warm in comparison. Following you Jay and enjoy your energy and passion. Keep em coming.

I disagree in part with your Mark Levinson assessment.
Yes, they are indeed good all-rounders, but that is damning them with faint praise. They are exceptionally transparent and the No.532 I owned up until quite recently had bass to die for. Also, as someone who listens to a lot of piano ML amps have consistently been the best I've heard at rendering its many complexities.
I have owned a few bits pieces of ML over the years although i don't currently, so maybe I am a little bit of a fan boy, but I have consistently preferred them in direct comparisons to many other brands that get more coverage, inc. Boulder.

*❌✅ I agree their DAC using PurePath is superior to the Sabers even though on paper sabers may out perform // but on a system in a blind test People will choose (ML) at Volume equaled , ML with purepath is just as strong as Jay’s Boulder (( dare a blind test with ML’s Latest Gear High damping factor means more control PERIOD❌*

I agree with as a owner of ML 380s and ML 336 sounds quite nice great Soundstage and bass and midrange to die for also non fatiguing highs so I can imagine what the ML 532 is like not the ML 532h series Jay is referring too my two cents...lol

There is depth of soundstage, layering of instruments, centering of the vocalist, and then the height. Bookshelf even on pedestals have limits. It's all about your budget and room with expectations. Entry level speakers or speakers that go up maybe 3 to 4 feet high mid wall the stage height tends to peter out so they head listening level more stuck in a vice. Taller speakers can throw off great height to a soundstage. Example when I listen the stage is like I am outside at a concert and there are no walls or ceiling that exist. The singer though is at regular height and centered for the vocals.

I wish more reviewers spotlight Daniel Hertz Mighty Cat technology that apparently makes every system sound like the original master tape. I think that is the ultimate goal of every audiophile, maybe, not every electronics lover for whom the quality of sound is secondary and they rather talk cables 😂.

@@AudioheavenDenmark LOL!! You are so right, and the way you say it, LOL!
Unfortunately do I think many brands has gone that way. There are a lot of brands that in the 80s, 90s and even in the early 2000 who made real quality gear, but has changed to mid-fi to near high-end prices.
If you look inside some of the gear today, do you find designs that are just jumbled together, because SMD takes up no space, so you have plenty of room and do not have to care about making the signal path short, plus a 1/64 track is properly not as great as those wide traces they used before.
