Also, when Keith says Blue ain’t your color, that means someone is feeling “blue” as feeling sad. Take notice when the song ends and the camera pans to the stage, there’s no band. She picked that song on the jukebox so she was all alone dancing.

When he says "Blue ain't your color" he's talking about her sad blue mood ❤

Keith is good and he shreds a mean guitar....one of the best. Check out his playing on The Highway Don't Care and his hits with Pink and Carrie Underwood. He is a good vocalist, but he is top notch on the guitar!

For a real treat, search "NBC TODAY KEITH URBAN Blue Ain't Your Color" and watch him play it live, just him and his old black Strat, it is the best version I've heard yet. Plus, I find it funny that the female host is dressed in bright blue.

The “blue” he’s talking about is her sad “blue” mood after not being appreciated by the other guy, and that’s the blue that doesn’t look good on her. He’s basically telling her, “Don’t put up with that crap, he’s bringing you down so find someone who will make you happy. You deserve better.”
Keith Urban deserves to be considered “right up there” when talking about great guitarists. I had no idea until I took my daughter, who is a huge fan, to one of his shows and he blew the roof off with some MAD guitar solos. Check out some of his live stuff. I’ve seen most of the greats going back to the 60s and believe me, he can hold his own with most.

Really!?!? That’s surprising I definitely have to see what you’re talking about!! And yes that makes a lot of sense the blue meaning sad don’t know how I missed that 😂

He is Country, but he can Rock out too. Married to the actress Nicole Kidman. He struggled with alcohol and cocaine addiction for several years and he credits her with helping him to overcome it. He wrote a song called Thank You for one of his albums to express his gratitude to her for the role she played in him getting sober. Check it out sometime, knowing the backstory puts it in perspective.

Keith is one of many guitar Gods view the this song that he does with Vince Gill, and Chris Stapleton live it’s all guitars till the very end. He also does a song with Pink that is great.

The song uses blue as an idiom and an adjective at the same time. It’s clever. While I prefer artist write their own material, Urban always picks quality material to cover.

In this song, Blue means sad/depressed/unhappy! If you'll notice at the end, the camera pans around to show nobody on stage!!!!!

You are not a fan because you haven't heard all the newer music. These reaction videos will show you what you are missing. It ain't your granddaddy's music,

First, I listen to lots of new music of all types. I actually like my grandads country music more than most of today’s country music. Willy Nelson, Waylon, Glen Campbell, Dolly, etc.

It always amaze me when I hear someone say they are not a fan of country...but on second thought, I don't like Rap or Metal and some people love them.

Have you done a video on Barbara Mandrel? She is a song writer, sang and plays many instruments including pedal steel guitar, bango, bass, and saxophone. 1960s through 90s.
