Nice reaction! The drummer is Rick Allen and he lost his left arm in a car accident in 1984. They were in between recording albums and he re-learned how to play the drums using an electronic kit. His left foot triggers the sounds his left arm would normally have made. This band has been together for 45 years and is out there touring stadiums in the US this summer. If you have time, check out some of their live performances. They sound just as good live : )
The band actually stopped touring after the drummer(Rick Allen)had an accident.. Waited for him to recover and adapt to playing drums in a different way..😎🤘.. That's Brotherhood!!!
Def Leppard may be the only band with a one armed drummer. The deserve all the props in the world for for giving him time to relearn how to drum after the accident. Almost any other band would have replaced him immediately.
I grew up with this band. From the first album until present day they are, dare I say, my second favorite of all time. From not giving up on Rick Allen when he lost his arm in a car wreck, to not giving up when Steve Clark died of alcohol poisoning, this band shows that it doesn’t matter what adversities life throws you, if you are strong enough and believe in those who believe in you, you can conquer just about anything. Let’s face it, this bands music WILL stand the length of human existence not only for their musical contribution, but also for showing the compassion towards each other through adversity. They are what everyone needs to learn as far as compassion and loyalty.

They actually spent two weeks with a travelling circus in holland shooting this video, and Rick is definitely an Inspiration!!
