I've had the pleasure of seeing them live twice. My favorite BOC song and always will be. The beginning of Stephen King's "The Stand" (1994 and best version) features this as the opening track. Some folks back when this was on the radio every day thought it was encouraging suicide but deep down it's a love song. "The love of two is one". Another band with this kind of vibe and depth you need to check out if you haven't already is Kansas. Fun fact: Before they were Blue Oyster Cult, they were The Great White Underbelly.
I love that explosive transition section too. Thanks for repeating it. Rewards every time. Granted, it could use a tad more cowbell, but that is not the guitarists fault. Their song "Seven Screaming Dizbusters" is another that blows down the doors. Harambee pamoja. Asante.
@@GracieReacts I once played it for my former girlfriend, who had not heard it, and when that part explodes onto the scene, I came out from the other room, naked, acting like I was playing a mean air guitar. She fell out.
A reaper reaping is a great description!😂 I see someone already made a more cowbell joke. Not sure if you have seen the comedy show Saturday Night Live aka SNL, but in that show, they have a skit where they make fun of this song as a joke. One of the instruments used in this song is a cowbell. People call the comedy skit the More Cowbell skit. When u have a chance, check it out. It's funny! As more people leave comments here, they're going to tell u the same thing I'm telling u. To watch the skit. Another song of their's that I like is called Godzilla. I like how u go back & replay the songs
Hey Gracie, have you seen this new release yesterday, RAYE at her very best in a 30 min. live set at Los Angeles. She manages to put everything on display a human voice can do in those 30 min., incredible set! Enjoy or react (you could also react two the first song and the second, both because of the crazy transition, and watch the rest on your own...) Have you seen her performance at MTV EMAs? Peace and love! Raye - live at Camp Flog Gnaw 2024 th-cam.com/video/hROCK14zNhY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bYuxrn6Eb86AUsV1 ❤

Blue Oyster formed in the late 60s and they`re still touring ! though this song is their best known and set them on the world stage,
Wow 😁
Thank you 😊
