    Ridership on the 6 Bay went down when they changed from streetcar to trolley buses. Ridership wen way down when they replaced trolley buses with diesel buses on Bay.

    I remember taking the Bay trolley bus from Bay Station to the ferry docks to go to Center Island as a kid.

    Interesting how busy the bay bus used to be; I wonder if a modern frequent Bay bus would help relieve congestion at St. George and Bloor-Yonge due to more transfers being diverted to Bay station as we wait for the completion of the Ontario Line.

    Listening to this made me load up Cities for the first time in forever....and avoid using trolley buses 😂😂

    I only remember the Bay trolley bus route. I could never understand why trolley buses were scrapped, as a system. Trolley buses were quieter and more maneuverable than buses and streetcars, respectively; the best of both worlds. Typical bureaucratic twisted logic, I suppose.
