Welcome to my series recap. For each mission/episode, I'm [retty much writing my reactions and finding moments I found to be shady (note: by shayd i really just mean it struck me as funny or cute...or made me upset bc some of the girls...). GABI GURL TEXT ME.
Well they picked the rigged...I mean sorry, they rigged the pick...sry what i'm trying to say is that the network totally didn't already know whom they wanted to debut.
jk but the girls who made it, LOVE! they are great picks and unlike other SBS shows, there was a large pool of talent.
And the judges here? A MESS. Sejeong ate every single time

The worst I've ever watched was when they watched the video of themselves together with the other contestants of whom they wanted to be eliminated just to stir more drama. That's so cruel and minding that most of them are still kids.
they seem to be partial towards the japanese contestant. like nana and kotoko i dont think they are talented enough to debut. the filipino contestant deserve it though. they can never deny gehlee's charisma and voice, while elisia is just excellent in all aspects.

The worst thing the producers did was make the contestants choose another girl thats would most likely be eliminated and show the footage where they say the name, infront of everybody. Like cant it just be secret? They literally showed the footage where each girl say "i think she would be eliminated for this reason" Thats just evil.
on rupauls drag race que queens have to say who they think should be eliminated directly to each others faces, now THATS evil.

@@sorbbae620 well best case scenario when you're an adult you know better to handle and control your emotions and it might not create and fuel longterm insecurities and leave a scarring impression on your self-esteem. kids are way more vulnerable to these things so on an emotional level, this felt more evil to me, is what i meant.
35:14 They needed a reason to make Seowon main vocalist. Every time she's in the same team with Elisia, I feel like the show is really portraying them as ultimate rivals for main vocals. But Elisia's voice was clearly preferred by the PD's, especially in while recording "Whateva"

I think even if Eli was not sick in this song, the lines would still be better with Seowon. There's an advantage to a Korean singing a Korean song versus a non-native singing a Korean song. And Seowon's voice fits this song. I'm Eli's fan, by the way😊
@@itsme6008 You're probably right. I noticed they let Elisia be the main vocals for a song with a lot of English lyrics in them.
Elisia was sick 1 week before Seowon got sick. And she isn't dumb and liar to agree with this script. And do you think this show would lie to favour Seowon? All they did was to evil edit her cause the show was flopping hard in Korea.
The song still turned out good. Seowon can't do Elisia's lines if they reverse their roles. Only salty fans have issue because their biases got less lines and screentime. 😁
These shows made me realize how hard it actually is to make a kpop group
Talent alone is not a gurantee. You need to be marketable too after all business is business.

It was Elisia who was saying that she still has not recovered from the cold. You can tell how harsh her voice is
Eunhyung and Yona´s elimination where so unfair, they get like 1 line and are expected to be the highlight?
bro like it makes no sense, Yona's vocal can go so well with "Dream of Girls" vibe/ song, especially with high note, she said on the live stream that she worked so hard on that song but only one short line that not even outstanding part. although some of Seowon, Elisa, Nana 's part should be shared/given to Yona (her voice literally fit those parts well). I feel like it make her talent and herself is unnoticeable . What even more suspicious was the majority of the elimination votes from other contestant was Yona
im sorry but eunhyung was just terrible, in each performance not only her vocals was very unstable and lack confidence, but also shes just being overshadowered by her team in talent, she refuses to sing or practice lines continuously (she lip syncs) which is just bad(do you continue to lip sync even after debut?) dk how she got so far ...
@@JyunJyunie.00 she was pretty good in Nan as a rapper and she sang well in Pretty girl, of course we didnt see her highlights and was overshadowed if she got soo little lines, i know she wasn't the best but i personally liked both her and Yona a lot and i feel like it was unfair how little lines they got
What I noticed is that they sabotage Chaewon’s performance. Like all contestant has autotune/condenser in their mics so that it can be smooth but in Chaewon’s case, they removed it thats why the unicorns thought her performance was bad.
Heres an example. Just look at Kotoko’s performance on her audition. Like Kotoko’s voice is shaky and sometimes out of tune but u can clearly here the autotune being used. While in chaewon, its like the show only turned off the condenser/autotune to her and her opponent 😕. Like if that’s not sabotage, then what else could it be?
They turn in the reverb/backtrack for the pd picks, not just Kotoko. You'd be surprised lol. Thanks to that, Elisia's impact was magnified.
@@OxygenC2 Well Elisia’s vocals is no joke even without the condenser/autotune. Her raw vocals is insane and she deserves that recognition. Im not sure about the backtrack tho. Like if its a backtrack, then vanesya should atleast just lipsynced than making a mistake during “tell me”.

What an observation. 😂😂 Was this a kid’s observation? Chaewon will definitely complain if that was her voice. LOL 😂 She cried because she knew she screwed herself. Even she admitted that her style has gotten a little old. Do you still remember when he said "I can't win if it's always like this.” She admitted it that she was screwed. Don’t make any assumptions. Sa tingin ko galing ka pinas bata. Ganyan magdadahilan mga iyaking supot ng pinas. 😂
Yup, they sabotaged but it's not the autotune, you can check Chaewon's performance that is the short from sbs's channel and you'll see the original clip there.
It's the editing to make her out of tune (the instrumental also got out of tune and that's how I noticed)
Gonna be honest. I have a love-hate feelings with Kotoko. Lol. Sometimes I just feel that her vocal performance disrupted the flow of the song. It just sounds out of place (at least for me). But I also can't help but smile when her cuteness shot my heart. Lmao.
She's not the best vocalist but she's definitely a natural idol. It might be an unpopular opinion bc obviously idols make music so they should be able to sing, but being a good singer and being Asian doesn't automatically make you an idol, it's way more than that. Kotoko is very charismatic and makes people smile, I think she's a great addition to the team and I can't wait to see more of her.

I totally agree, Sumin and Haram was on my pick list... thos I'm happy because they got attention which can help them debut in the future, Gyoryeon too, she's such a random girl, groups should have someone like her

The main problem of the show is the lack of equality of each contestants in getting a screen time. Most are literally a clip of Seowon and Kotoko.
They aren't fair to Seowon. Those screen times were evil edits. They didn't have to do that because she would debut even with zero screentime. They did her dirty.
The problem is they invited ridiculous number of constestant (82 in total) Should have started at least by 24 contestant in episode 1.

Every survival show is like this, bro in every survival shows people always have a problem on the screentime, like can't you guys see it's normal for survival shows to give someone more screentime and others less screentime?
they did not show all performance specially during the 1 on 1 battle so people cant evaluate the trainees accurately

Actually, 2010-2012 is middle school, so Seowon and 2009-2006: High school, so everyone expect Hyeonju, who is an adult😊

Hmmmm wasnt there 2 signal songs 1st is Come with me? It was released even before 1st mission. This one your talking about is Ticket to you. Which is for contestant remaining that didnt get eliminated after the first elimination.
(After elimination round which cuts off 41 girls out of 82 minus 2 that left the show is mission 3)
From what i know, recording from ep 1 started from august 2023 after the eliminations they probably learned the choreography when the song is going to be recorded which is probably around mid-october?

I don’t get how vu linh Dan wasn’t voted in from fan ticketing b/c she was fourth place?
I have seen from a bunch of videos that apparently she got 24th instead of fourth but she was so closeeeee
She came in Rank 4 on the first week but after the Revenge Battle she came in Rank 30 and did not receive Unicorn Ticketing. Ranks 1-41 would have passed with Fan Ticketing alone, but due to Unicorn Ticketing there were 9 contestants below Rank 41 that received a ticket. Therefore, working our way up, Ranks 41-33 needed to be eliminated to make room for the 9 contestants below 41 who received Unicorn Ticketing. Within Ranks 41-33, Ranks 36-35 received Unicorn Ticketing so you need to eliminate 2 more contestants, Ranks 32-31. Lastly, within those LAST TWO, Rank 32 received Unicorn Ticketing as well so you need to eliminate one more rank, Rank 30, which is Vu Linh Dan. She was SO CLOSE.@@DDedits2011

According to the first global fan voting, Vu Linh Dan ranked 30th, Bae Yeram ranked 29th but has Unicorn Ticket, Aya Natsumi ranked 28th and she is the last on the Fan Ticket's line. If indonesians voted wisely, Vu Linh Dan will make it and will probably debut.
It is not because of the higher ranks, but because of the lower ranks that received Unicorn Ticketing. Ranks 1-41 were supposed to automatically pass to the next round due to Fan Ticketing, but because of Unicorn Ticketing, nine ranks below 41 made it (Rank 77, 66, 59, 57, 56, 53, 51, 49, 46). So that means Ranks 33-41 were eliminated in their place, but there were also two ranks within that section that received Unicorn Ticketing so that means Ranks 31-32 were also eliminated. Finally Rank 32, Hwang Sieun, also received Unicorn Ticketing which means the last rank eliminated was Rank 30, Vu Linh Dan. @@kurobakaito997
I found that Sieun had a lot of screentime, maybe one of the most (Easily understand due to her visual and being popular in Korea). And everyone said she’s a PD’s pick and definitely has a spot on debut-line. But at the end, they decided to eliminate her although she’s in top 8 if there’s just fan voting =)))))

It's because judges weren't expecting hyeonju, she gained popularity later in the show being half Filipino. Otherwise sieun would have debuted.

@@Grrgoyle Watching this show again, I see that all her screentime were just about her visual (include the screen when she’s sleepy :))), not about sth like her practising/recording part, while others had. Then people have a thought that visual is all she has, kind of boring I guess.
But her vote through all round were still quite stable.
She has clean and smooth dance movements, beautiful tone, rapper material, charming visual. Just need more confident, pls keep on supporting her 🫶🏻

you could really tell who the producers are pushing for debut just basing on the drama surrounding them and the screen time.
and to think that they did not even show Hyeonju's 1:1 battle, I'd like to think that the producers did not expect her to make it to debut.
I also have some doubts with Chaewon's performance on the 1:1 battle. How can a singer not realise that she was singing off key for the whole song? Like, can she not hear herself and the backtrack? And if you watch Anxin's 1:1 performance, there was a part where the camera shot switch to the judges and you can hear Anxin's raw voice which is not as good as what they showed in the performce. It is most likely that they did this to some, if not most of the contestants.
Sometimes singers can't hear when they are getting off key. That's why they rehearse before they perform on stage and listen to their recorded songs to improve the lines where they make mistakes.
Even Eli hasn't realised that her improvising is getting out of tune in red flavour.

For those who said it's the language barrier, lol. A lot of them are foreigners. If you join a Korean talent show, then you should already know that most of the songs you'll be performing are in Korean. It is not an excuse because there's a lot of time you should've prepared or practiced before joining that kind of talent show.
24:30 This is the time I am pointing it out. Who TF said Nana is much better than Gabi at these particular moments? They are rigging this talent show so much that it is so cringe-worthy to watch after the 4th-5th episodes. They want Nana to debut so much because of "fan-based" criteria. Yeah, Nana is good, but giving almost 1/3 of the song to Nana is too much! Also, the producers decisions of giving lines to the other members are quite infuriating. Who the F will put idols like a manequin on the stage! They're doing dirty to Yona and Gabi??? Also, they made Eunhyung look like a f*cking robot at the stage, doing nothing like a wind. They are making K-pop idols, not back-up dancers. Producers should be the ones who take the blame for this. A lot of potential has been wasted. Kudos to the one who edited this video, pin-pointing every dirty trick that this talent show made

compare to produce series, i honestly prefer this. produce series really relies on the votes thats why even if you're so talented, you wont make it if you're not popular. while in universe ticket, the judges choices are important. 20 of them advanced bcoz of them. even the producer's choice are important. they just dont have a choice but also include votes, well, bcoz they need supports from fans.
i mean look at the debut line up.they are all talented (except kotoko.sorry.she's cute, but for me there are more girls talented than her. Gabi, Narumi)
and the dramas are just minimal, compare to produce series and other survival show where almost half of the show consist of "rivals" and other evil edits.
Thank you for saying this. I felt like this was less toxic and manipulative than other series. There's still evil editing, but not as convincing, and it's obvious (to me) that all the girls were friends by the end.

the only harsh part is when they have to choose a member to eliminate and broadcast the reason.
And this had few rounds before 1st elimination.
Most of the girls on Produce 101 Season 1 who got eliminated in the first round, I don't even know them & can even remember them.

Lol... After watching many other survival shows and accepting that they are evil edited and rigged, I was going to watch this one not judge it much. I'm surprised that 2 Japanese and 3 Filipinas(one 1/2) made the final lineup which I can only guess that international votes were not diminished like in other shows.
They may have been deserving but It also seemed like there were clear favorites coming in and were actively being pushed.
The parts where the contestants voted each other out was both a fresh twist and a cringy moment.
Anyway, good luck to this group. Seems like they ended up with one center, 2 vocals and a couple of all arounders plus some interesting personalities. I don't think they will be doing any girl crush themes though.
I've watch the whole episode of this show but you know there's that kind of "CONTESTANT" that got the most screentime and they think will be part of debut line but 🤷🏻♀️ most of them wasn't on UNIS now. And after streaming UNIS debut the 8 members are still stiff to each other even though months have passed they still give this kind of COMPETITIVE energy to each other but they literally in a GROUP now so I just hope they'll feel comfortable and help each other instead 🤧💓
I really like manu of these girls. Most of them are very talented and worth rooting for ,i hate tgat many of those talented people gets little recognition ❤.... anyways I'm glad the show is over cause this show is honestly a mess ,idk how the trainees managed to get through all of that crap, also don't hate on any of them they're minors literally 💀
Worst Reality Idol Show, I watched this again 2nd time but the first one was when winners were already announced.
They don't distribute the songs properly. They just pushed some certain girls and others were just back up singers and dancers...
The drama they are creating weren't convincing at all too.
Pretty harsh for the part of revealing who the girls voted to be kick-out.
The Unicorn Ticketing, Fan Ticketing, Producers' Ticketing and Candy Ticketing should've been applied to all the girls so, there is an equal and fair chances to be promoted. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Some ticketing made way for some to debut because they realized the girl/s they are pinning won't make it in fan ticketing/fan votings.

Specially the Candy Ticketing: All of them just voted peacefully bcs they all thought that this is a fun game. And being all surprised while the winner with some standards like “The prettiest, born to be idol, Cutest” will get promoted with 115k votes =))))
I have rubbed my eyes for thousand times, bcs I thought it just 1,15k or 11,5k votes 😅

I honestly feel alot of them were evil edited, also i found some of them really fake, they did not hesitate to pick someone for elimination and talk down about them and later cry when they actually get eliminated? the show really is rigged, how is it a reality survival show when they only focus and give screentime to only some members. Universe ticket is the most honest survival show I've watched, they did not bank on drama among the participants, they showed the feedbacks as lessons for whoever was picked, you can literally hear flats from the performances thereby proving they're really singing live, that's why a lot of the unstable performers where kicked out.
At the end of the days this is still a popularity show, so other than the ones selected by judges, everyone else where voted fairly, even the voting you can see right from the beginning who were the popular ones and the results were very consistent

This is my first ever kpop reality show..and lets say ill never wanna watch another one. Throughout, my fav is eunhyung after the nan performance. She really did improve alot. BIT DAMN. The amount of hate she and yona receive is harsh. I get it for eunhyung becaise for most shes not that capable of singing bit yona? Like girly is GOOD. I guess they just dont want a 25 year old in their team. The push these 2 are getting is wild. Like why dont just eliminate eunhyung at first? Ofc people will understand. And dont act like she didnt improve . They literally give her 1 line with 4 syllables in catallena and yummy yum then say she doesnt want to perform anymore. Then for yona, miss girly literally sang high notes that not every cintestant can do. And why are they putting that much hate towards her? And for the others that were eliminated early like vu lin dan, some say that other companies might have taken them that are talented. Well, maybe thats true. BUT I swear i will never come back to watch anoter reality kpop show. UT, you left a negative impression to us.

7:05 - skills are important. Because someone NEEDS to be the a main vocal, and there needs to be stage presence (which a few members should have). The rest should have at least reasonable skills in singing, dance, and timing - so they don't make the song or performance a flop. But 'just getting by' isn't something that is going to win you survival shows. To win in these, you need to excel in at least 1 area. For this particular show, it seemed like they were giving emphasis to cuteness, stage presence, expressiveness, and vocals. I got the feeling dance was sort of put on the back burner. It could just be me.
My 7 girls made it to the final lineup. Narumi was on my list but considering the concept they'll make, Yoona is a better fit. So, I don't have any problems with that

Episode 9 was the most harsh. Dedicating group performance, watching each other peers comments to vote just for ONE contestant to be eliminated. Then seeing who the Judges and producers who they would vote out. Its a bit much.
2nd worst for me is watching each contestant stand on stage and waiting for that loading bar to see which PRISM station they would be at. It was like watching grass grow.
Other than that. The show was fun to watch and enjoyed the the performances. I think the 8 chosen has done really well. All that hard work paid off.
I honestly can't stand the backlash jieun (Busters) got , her performance wasn't good but us fans have seen her perform and sing way better. You can literally see she's dissapointed in herself as well + she seems really nervous. Also if i compare what got broadcasted to the fancam they make it sounds different imo
I think it's because she already debuted and still got nervous so she didn't perform well. I think it's because it's not like she's a rookie and her years of experience should have been indicative of a better, refined performance which she failed to do.

There was a few things i disliked in this show, but the most were;
1. They really did dirty with lines distribution and then said "you didn't shine" OF COURSE NOT, YOU A55HOL3, how was she supposed to shine with 3s not even center time
2. they really pushed Nana like was necesary all that screen time for her and have almost all centers? kinda sorry but her vocal didn't even fit some parts and still she got them wtf and yet people did complain about Kotoko being 3rd in Catallena, stfu, Nana vocals are barely better and she got like half of the lines in at least 3 songs
3. 12yo in the line? wtf i mean, wtf

Ive watch this show because of my bias belle ( hyeon ju of my life) of cignature 😭😭Kahit mediocre tong show at low ratings. And to my surprise ,nagulat ako kasi may ibang kabayans na kasali din pala (elisia/ghelee) W/c cemented me to the show. And i can say after seeing the both i already know after episode 4 of universe ticket the philippines might get the bacon and i know they're are great. It's not hard to root for someone if that individual is really deserving. I know this as a filipino hindi tayo basta basta susuporta porket kabayan natin dapat may laban talaga hahaha
also Eto pa din pinakamagandang kpop idol realty show na natpos ko kasi pinahirapan sila not to the extreme just a level higher to their current age aptitude tests/challenges. Dun palang mapapadali yung production team na malaman kung sino ba talaga yung lilitaw at outstanding na trainees. Though the drama was sometimes forced by the production of the show through staging for more intrigues but i think all the challenges here are how they should be for the survival of the fittest fitted for their ages. ❤

Honestly SBS is worst than Mnet in terms of survival show. I remember watching "LOUD" survival show by Pnation ans JYPE the rules was harsh (uni.ticket was little bit harsh) when the team has no vote or loss on voting they need to eliminate one member which is i think was really unfair. At the time i really thing that was the most brutal survival show but when i watch universe ticket i was wrong hahahah this show was shadiest and most brutal sur.show ever 😅
