Raising Quail: Our Journey from Brooder to Butcher

  • In this video, we take you along on our journey of finishing out our first batch of quail. From moving them out of the brooder to butchering and tasting quail for the first time, we share a few of the steps we took throughout the process. You'll see some ups and downs of raising quail, including some challenges we faced and the joy of seeing our hard work pay off. We also start to incubate the next generation of eggs. Join us as our quail-raising journey comes full circle.

      Less messy perhaps because it's contained, but 🤢 they're definitely stinky! Gotta keep up on it regularly!

      So easy! My 7 year old does most of their care, and processing was a breeze!

    With the cage being outside. When it rains doesn't the poop tray fill with water?

      @@jubjub719 since the roof overhangs, it's not a big issue unless there's a lot of wind blowing that direction. They're fairly surprised from wind where we have them, so it hasn't been an issue.
