Happy you completed your collection. I do have a question. You said that Edward 1 was the only Edward to have Rex on his coins. A detectorist found a beautiful coin, the had Edwardus Rex on it. The person who found it said it was Edward 2. Armed with my scant knowledge, I suggested it was actually Edward 1, due to Rex being on the coin. I was told, they used the same dies, so the coin was indeed Ed 2. Shortly after you came out with the fact that 4 ShortCross coins all had Henricus as the name though they were actually Henry 2, John, Richard (don't remember which one) & Henry 3, all had Henricus as the title on the coins. Please let me know if I'm right about the Edward 1 or not. It's not a big thing, it's for my own personal knowledge. Of that you can be assured. We both know my knowledge of coins is all US coins except the 1 cent & 5c coins are 90% silver, 1964 & earlier. LoL oh I just learned the 1965-1969 half Dollar & Dollar coins are 40% silver. Again congratulations on achieving your goal. Very very happy for you.
Thank you mate, no Edward I is not the only coin to have Rex, most coins have them in some way or another. Most coins have the rulers name followed by Rex of R, all the way up the English line 😁 I also don’t think I said that!
I'm like you i have to have them all, I'm off to a coin fair tomorrow to pick up a Charles the first half crown, I will be also looking out for a better example of a Henry the 8th groat
