this is what i've been looking for. someone fishing on a switch. surprised there isn't more videos of it.

@@davecavanaugh66 I mocked it up but didn't like it. I purchased a used trolling motor, bought the pad, bolted it on and plugged it in. I absolutely disliked the way it worked though. it flexed too much. I tried to reinforce it, still didn't like the way it felt or looked. it also got it the way big time. I think the best option would be a stow away compartment or under the boat.
I love the modular concept and performance but I think hard to make the “Switch” from a wide and shallow water skiff that I currently have. I have lots of accessories on my skiff that I need for my use cases - trolling motor, power pole, extra batteries, etc. Would be cool if they came out with a “fishing” model that gave you all those options.
I am saving for one of these

not on this model, maybe the larger ones. we put them on the Bimini sides and in the rod holders! the Bimini is ultra strong. hope this helps

Did it come with the Garmin - or was that an Extra Accessory??

100% agree. I hope it's not like when I made a jet ski fishing rig and then they came out with the linq system lol. I'm going to be making a bow mount trolling motor mod for the switch. Maybe I'll connect a bow-mount trolling motor to a makeshift aluminum mount that connects to the switch's modular base. Chances are I do this, they'll come out with one the next year lol

How about idle speed trolling speed cruise control?
yeah it's got it. i played around with it enough to know it's still too fast for some scenarios but that's because it's made for water skiing lol. you can cruise at any speed really but when there's current it's a problem
I have the 21 foot 230 sport and I trolled last night and caught walleye on a calm lake. It stayed at about 3 mph in gear at idle.
