    no washroom, no shower, no sink, no bed ,not fully enclosed and 8 times the price of my 28' cruiser that has all that

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      All true but really not meant for that kind of boating they are more for the take the family out for a day but still have that jet ski fun in there. As for price yes compared to a 28 ft cruiser it can be up there for sure, but put up against a high end pontoon boat that can be over 100K they are not bad at 30K. Plus these are like a dip your toe into boating kind of boat and if you like it then I would see them selling and moving up to what you have a nice 28 ft cruiser with all the comfort you have. Same thing they are doing with the sea doo start you at a Spark and end up at a GTX limited and then move on to the big boats with more the comfort. Thanks so much for checking out the video and for reaching out all the best Cheers!

    I'm torn on the cover. So much cash for what ya get, and then you either have a mooring cover or a facemask for towing..... would love a full cover that was trailerable! May extend the bimini out this weekend, so far, have wanted every bit of sun we could get

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I got both and will say don't bother with the Mooring cover not worth it. I just wash the deck and seats down and all good. I do like the towing one have already seen the rocks it has taken up here so I like that and not hard at all to put on. I would like to maybe find something to just cover the driver console you know. I hear you nice to leave it closed to get all the spring sun but is great open I like it. Well have some fun out there this weekend Cheers!

    We have had our Switch for a good amount of time 18-230, love it! BUT the Garmen included SUCKS, not even a depth finder. Just installed the transducer for depth. and it shuts off over 15 MPH!!!! under 15 MPH it kicks back on. Garmin, very disappointed.....

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oh wow that sucks I have the Garmin as well but no depth on it at this time. Strange that it would cut out like that. I have it on my GTX with the depth finder and it works just fine at speed. I will look into that on the switch and if I find anything will let you know.

      thanks one of my favorite things is filming and putting that footage in the video just looks so cool. yes there is a full cruise control with them that even at speed you can use it, and I love it one of the best things on the boat. That was in KPH.

    Can you share the details of the 10-hour break in period? Thanks, great looking boat.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure no problem. For the 10 hour break in you need to start slow and build the RPM's up. Dont just pin it and go or you can warp the pistons and cylinders. Then after like 2 hr you can start running at higher RPM"s but not for long times. Then after 5 hrs you can spend even more time at the higher RPM's but I like to then spend the same time at the lower ones to equal it out. Then after like 7 hrs you can almost just run it like normal giving it a break now and then till you hit the 10 hrs. Then at that point you should be able to reach full RPM's and power and the engine is broken in and you are good to go. I would also change the oil at that 10 hr mark just incase there were any shavings or metal bits that came free during that break in ( that is normal ) then you are all good to go. Hope that helps! if you have any other questions just let me know. Cheers!

    • @edhiestand1197
      @edhiestand1197 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem any time just ask away. Happy I was able to pass that info on for you. I know not a lot is said on how to do it just that you need to do it. Thanks again for checking out the video and for reaching out all the best Cheers!

  • @theoldshooter9011
    @theoldshooter9011 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Is there a recommended break in procedure where you pull so many rpm's for so long then increase? On both my John boat and Crest 22ft pontoon tritoon there was a strict break in procedure or kiss the warrantee goodbye.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is not a strict break in procedure but more to get the best from your engine to ensure no issues down the like. So for an SeaDoo there is the 10 hour break in. All you are to do is never have it at any higher RPM for to long and to keep on switching from low just putting around to med and then to high and then back it back down to low again. Then as you get closer to the 10 hrs you can run it longer at the higher RPM's. Then after the 10 hour mark get the oil changed and have them check that everything is tight and you should be good to go. Thanks for the question hope this helps. All the best Cheers!

  • @wheelmanjosh1982
    @wheelmanjosh1982 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thanks for the video, great job. I'm in a power wheelchair, do you think the Switch would be accessible? How much water did you notice coming over the sides, if any? What's the weight capacity? Are there places to tie down ratchet straps?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you so much! Yes I do believe it would be as unlike most boats like that the front door opens right up in the middle so as long as you can have it level with your dock should be no issue getting on and off. If it is more or less calm then next to no water comes over but of course in waves you can still get some spray but the bigger ones will give you more room from the front so less likely to get to much spray. For weight the smallest one can do 800 lbs and then the biggest one can do around 1500 lbs. As for the tie downs I would believe there would be points but I could not say 100% but I am sure the dealer could confirm that. There are points that I would use but not sure the would be official you know. Thanks so much for checking out the video and hope the information helps and if you have any other questions just let me know. All the best Cheers!

    Great Video! I just picked my up,, I do have a question, have you had any issues with your tow vehicle pulling it?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is great did you get the compact sport? I can feel that it is back there and it does add a lot of drag at highway speeds but just normal roads was not bad at all. Did find that if you are trailering it for a good bit of distance keep the Switch as low in gas as you can and fill up when you are close to where you are going. This made a big difference in the drive over all. Other wise backing up on a ramp and maneuvering it around not bad at all. If you have any other questions please let me know and also don't forget to do the 10hr break in and an oil change right after that. Other than that have a great time out there on it Cheers!

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So with the Switch plus the trailer and a full tank of gas comes in at 2524 LBS and my can can do a max of 3500 lbs and was able to toe it. Only thing I found is with that Bimini on it does act like a sail so really hurts your fuel efficiency. I found between 95 and 105 kph was ok. Does way better on city streets, any thing under 80 kph and its like not even there. hope that helps and thanks for checking out the video and for reaching out Cheers!
