This Roush Axle-Back Extreme Exhaust is for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010 GT Mustangs or 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010 GT500 Mustangs. You don't have to remove the tailpipes to install an axleback, just remove the four hangers and twist the old muffler until it comes loose, then there is a small nipple on the tailpipe that shows how far to push the new axleback on. Once thats done place the hangers back onto the new axleback and hand tighten all the bolts on the hangers and have someone help you line the tips up with the cutouts then tighten the bolts down. You might need to loosen the midpipe clamps to get the tips lined up properly depending on the axleback brand and car, but removing both tailpipes is way too much work for a guy on his back when the car is on jack stands.

I did two axle back swaps when I had my 05 GT and didn't need to drop the mid pipe.
Just wondering why you did?
It makes it easier to remove the stock mufflers, I have done them without removing the mid pipe as well but it can be a PITA sometimes, especially with mufflers like the Roush that have longer hangers

Borla and Corsa would be your best bets if you don’t want drone. Somewhat pricey though

It's extremely hard to fail an emission test in Texas. Be that as it may, as long as you have your cats installed you'll be fine. also depends on the county you live in.
A cat back will not make you fail the emissions test in Texas. As long as you have the cats and O2 s installed with resonators then you should be fine.

I am not a fan of Flowmaster on anything after 2004. I would say this is louder.

I'm thinking in get this roush... But my doubt is: when Bill starts by first time the mustang, sounds extremly crackly when he accelerate and in the second time not...
So, it is so crackly like the first? sounds like that because it is in a close area? Or he revs more at the first? I Love how it sounds at the second time!

As long as you cut your mufflers off at the same location it should work fine.

Are these louder than the borla stingers?
The stingers are pretty loud as well but I would say these are every bit as loud but probably not louder. Both get crazy loud with an offroad pipe.

+Sultan BaqutebaYes you can if you have the dual exhaust conversion, otherwise you will be buying two pipes even though you can only use one. Though the v6 has no cutouts in the rear bumper so fitment might be an issue, you will have to adjust your tailpipes so the mufflers hang a little low and don't rub against the bumper, which will probably cause an annoying vibration sound.

+Jorge Rayon I have had Flowmaster Outlaws and SLP Loudmouths which are pure straight pipes. So I think they would be louder than the Outlaws and have a better tone too.
