When I first heard this on the album, it felt like I was ascending to another level of existence. This is still by far my favourite track of Ghost Stories.
I find this song the only true song from Ghost Stories. It's like coming from the heart. It just somehow reminds me of their older stuff, but in a new way. I know it sounds wierd but it's true for me. It's not commercial, it's a real song... as their older songs.
I must admit I found all of Ghost Stories quite raw and from the heart. It was quite different from their previous stuff, with a much more spiritual and contemplative atmosphere. My favourite album of theirs currently.
No matter how angry or destructive my 7 year old son is, he totally calms down when I play O. My son is severely affected by autism. Thank you Chris and thank you for using your talent optimally ❤ My son says "Hello" ❤❤

The piano arpeggios in this song give me chills. Sounds so classical. I love how Coldplay continuously redefines the genre of alternative rock, yet people accuse them of "stealing music" and not bringing forth something new to the music industry. This sing disproves that, and also proved that the "old" Coldplay is still there: sad, slow, and immensely beautiful. This song will never get out of my head, nor should it. Thank you, Coldplay. :')

Coldplay is one of the few bands I listen to where I can hear every little imperfection about any note. Those imperfections sum up to a whole, perfect piece. This is why I have so much respect for Coldplay.

Yes, this is the song about his wife breaking up with him. He knows he will never be with her again, only 'one day', perhaps after death, will he be flying first 'next to her' then 'with her'. When he wrote the song he hadn't yet overcome his grief and he at first couldn't sing this song live. Now he can sing and play it live, which shows him that he has finally come to terms with his new life. Beautiful song!
After my father died, I discovered this song. It puts me in tears with peace. Though he's not around anymore, I will never have the chance to see him again, hear his voice or feel his touch, my father is resting in peace. This song reminds me of that. It calms me down.

Everytime i watch this i would be mess if i was in that studio. I would be unable to hold in the emotion standing next to this amazing human being and the beauty of this song.
Shows either two things. 1) He could be in the smallest possibility lipsyncing (which is stupidly impossible and never an allegation that should be places untoward Coldplay/Chris Martin. 2) He is so consistent and true to his music. A completely original artist. (In his other live shows, he changes few tones and that just shows how amazing and shows that he doesn't lipsync.) the piano was on point too, no screw ups. sorry for the long rant, I love Coldplay and this song hahahaha. I would choose Coldplay over Beyonce anytime… Just feel the lyrics they write. I like Beyonce though, just don’t get how people say Coldplay was ‘lucky’ to have shared the stage with her, how they didn’t deserve to play the half-time show, etc.

I would choose Coldplay over Beyonce anytime… Just feel the lyrics they write. I like Beyonce though, just don’t get how people say Coldplay was ‘lucky’ to have shared the stage with her, how they didn’t deserve to play the half-time show, etc.
