You’re right about being careful when the parking time runs out, they’re pretty hot with ticketing vehicles. And I’ve seen parking wardens out till quit late in the evenings, 8pm I think, plus they operate 7days a week. So be careful when parking in Brighton! That electric railway on the seafront opened in 1883, and was the first electric railway in England, so it’s quite historic. There are other areas in Brighton apart from the beach area. The lanes is a shopping area full of small independent shops and boutiques, another area in the north part is where the royal pavilion is, that’s worth a look. Then there’s the nightclubs, bars and restaurants. I live quite local to Brighton, but I have to admit I try to avoid going there if I can, it’s a bit overpriced like London. Last time I went a pint in a pub was at London prices. Those seafront apartment prices are absolutely eye watering. The Grand Hotel is the one that got bombed in 1984, the conservatives were staying there including Margret Thatcher (the target) during a big Tory party conference. A bomb had been planted in one of the rooms a couple of weeks before. The centre of the front of the building was completely destroyed. It’s been fully restored.
LOL Great vlog you Guys ATB I like to recommend rather than feeding Ted Pedigree chum Royal canine with chappy dry mix, and give him some pre&probiotic digestive treats once a day x I used to have a lovely Border Terrier x they make a wonderful companion ATB!
Hi both, we went to Brighton a couple of years ago, we found the main town and found it quite rough, it was a lovely sunny day, loved the camp site. We just came back from the lakes fab loved it, might look into going to york at some point (when tourists have gone) 😂 good to see you guys take care x
Hi both. Brighton looks a lovely place, but due to our ages we dont travel to far now in the motorhome, and we would have to go on the dreaded M25 xx❤️❤️❤️
Hi…. I am enjoying your videos, loved Hastings, yes I am watching in the wrong order …😂 But you do seem to visit places when it’s all shut and looking crap ….BUT if it hasn’t been in comments already there is way more to Brighton than you saw, it’s not just about the seafront….The Lanes are cool, markets all over,Brighton Pavilion,Kemp town area, trendy streets, antiques areas, great Pubs and Bars and more…..sooooo much more than you could see on a gloomy day with 2hrs ticket.I get a slight similarity with Blackpool…long Sea front, but Blackpool away from the Sea front is a shit hole, with well documented issues, yes we visited in 2023 on the way to the Lakes…never again, even the Charity Shops were run down 😂😂 to my partners disappointment….And yes the South Coast is pricey….always has been. That zip wire I agree is extortionate.Anyway enjoying your films.Stuart along Coast in Portsmouth.😎👍
I lived in Brighton in the 70s while I was studying in Sussex, it is the best town nao a city in england. The brightionions are the best people in england. i spent my best years of life and it is like my second home to me. Every time I visit England, I make sure to visit Brighton even if it is a day trip. I am sorry to say you seem to be biased towards Brighton. I ❤ Brighton
It’s been a place that we’ve always wanted to visit. We’re not saying it’s a bad place, but didn’t see its best side the one day we were there. You said you lived there in the 70’s , that’s a long time ago. lol.
Hi Russ & Keeley glad your having a good holiday 😊 never been to Brighton and to be honest wasnt that keen on it, bit like blackpool lol. Shame about the pier not being rebuilt. Looking forward to seeing you in Norfolk. Have you done a covid test Russ? Me and hubby just had it 🤦🤦 Take care xx

Your dog will keep the seagulls away. Our BT goes for them every time we visit any seaside. 😁
