For some unknown reason I’ve been thinking about Ruth Buzzi here lately, which led me here. I had no idea she’s also a singer. Such a multi-talented lady! I just love her. ♥️❤️♥️
This is from 1977 - when Ruthie set out in hopes of being a country singer. She started out in small and medium size towns with nice hotel/motel bars -- this way if she failed - it would not be a big headline ruining her career -- this was Ruthie's statement to me,, She came to my hometown of Blytheville Arkansas -- at the Holiday Inn. Her backup was the Wild Turkey Band. Flip side of the record is '57 Chevrolet
Ruth Buzzi had many talents, for to go onto a country show to sing is no surprise. Seeing she was Sesame Street, she sang on the show too. She was the best.
That experience of the guy and his tux sound like something a portlander might do. Holding up a sign saying your tux is unzipped... We are good at holding up sign. Lol ... Loved that song
Catching reruns of Laugh In and realized that she could really hit the operatic notes and had a great voice. It was easy to ignore because she was so funny and sang mostly for laughs, but her range was more than this showcased, and this was only a taste of her talent.
Ruth Buzi singing country....two things I love come together.... I did not know.....
