The older members took such good care of the younger ones. Jin would cook and pack their school lunches and drive them to school. There’s a unique bond that is stronger than most families. Also, a lack of toxic masculinity that is refreshing and contributes to their humble and caring personalities.

Hi dears. 68yo Army here and like most Army, I've seen dozens of reactors react to the BTS guide and your reactions to this were beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. And when Mrs. SK said "they built their own family" I became a teary mess. I can't begin to say enough nice things about you two. As long as you keep the BTS content coming I'll be here for you guys. And I certainly hope Mrs. SK will be there as well. You two are SO beautiful!💜💜

yeah, it's not that the video is wrong. It's that he was talking about S Korean age counting. Unitl this year, they used a system where you were one year old at birth and another year old at the new year. So you could be born at the end of December and be counted at 2 years old at the new year when only a few days old. Hella confusing. This year they switched to global age counting. By global age, he was 13 when he joined and moved into the dorm with his brothers.
He debuted at 14. 15 is his Korean age. FYI
I just happened to see your reaction while surfing on TH-cam. I love honest reactions...thank you. You will find that these guys are not your typical boy band, it's unfortunate that this misconception keeps folks from even checking them out. ARMY is extremely diverse, all ages groups, gender, nationality, etc. I'm 59 yr old ARMY and a big lover of music. I have never in my life come across a group like these 7 men. Just AMAZING! Their songs, their lyrics, and their authenticity is what drew me in during the pandemic. BTS discography is HUGE between group songs to solo's. My playlist is currently over 300+ BTS songs. There is so much content on this group, they literally documented everything and openly shared their life together over the past 10+ years. As a 67 year old ARMY I just love our boys. I truly believe that they are a once in a generation band. So very talented and write their own music too. hi! great reaction! bc this video is a little outdated a LOT has happened since the video came out! rm released an album called indigo, suga released an album called d-day and had a world tour (it was just announced that he will be going to the military soon), jhope released and akbum called jack in the box and headlined at lollapalooza and is currently serving in the millitary, jimin released an album called face, v is realsing his album sep 8th and 2 music videos have been relased for it (rainy days and love me again), jungkook released a single called seven and he will release an album but its not finished yet so it’ll probably be out in a couple months! before going to the military jin release a single called the astronaut he probably will make an album once he’s done but he was the first member to go to the military so we do not know yet! BTS have a TOOON of content besides just music such as livestreams, shows such as run bts, in the soop, bon voyage and more! they are more than just music and they live army so much and we love them back! BTS also love eachother very much and will be returning together as a group in 2025! they still talk to eachother a lot despite them being in the military! and also we are still getting a lot of content despite them going to the military! they will not break up despite what many have claimed!

I became a fan because of their talent and their music but I chose to bean ARMY because of their message and who they are as people - just positive, kind & loving people. 💜
I would just watch each members album that are follows:-
1.Jin - single astronaut feat. coldplay
2.Rm - Indigo
3.Suga - D- day and he even did completed his world tour recently for this album by doing concerts in diffrent countries like USA, JARKATA , CHICAGO, AUCKLAND , JAPAN , SINGAPORE, KOREA( SEOUL) , NEWARK AND NEWYORK etc.
4. Jhope - Jack in box and single songs like chicken noodle soup as well as on the street feat. j cole
5. Jungkook- single just recently released which is called seven feat. latto
6. Jimin - Face
7. V - his ablum is releasing on 8 th september 2023 and the two songs of the album i.e , Love me again and rainy days are already been released with an mv and another songs is going to be releasing in august which is called blue from his album.

We say that BTS finds you when you need the most. They found me in 2020. I was deep in depression, feeling worthless. They made me feel joy and taught me that I should love myseld first. I was one of the lives they truly saved.
I absolute love their music but I love their message and how they still are the same hard working humble young men. I love how opening they are with the fans. They are not afraid to show their emotions and to show us they are humans as well. Because of them I met the most amazing and caring people inside ARMY that now I consider life long friends.
I loved how sincere and heartwarming your reaction was. And I hope both of you continue on this journey.

💜💜💜Welcome!💜💜💜 I fell into the BTS rabbit hole on you tube right before the pandemic and never looked back! One video at time I gradually realized my entire outlook on life had changed. Being a member of ARMY is a like a happy pill every day! You will really enjoy this journey. I'm so happy for you.
BTS is not your typical KPop idol group. They are global A-listers. They're the only artist who got 3 number 1 albums in less than a year since The Beatles. They have broken records set by The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, One Direction etc. They are not just known for being great singers, rappers and dancers but also, their Korean lyrics are so deep, meaningful and inspirational. The message they send through their lyrics, music and artistry resonates with the general public because they tackle depression, anxiety, mental health, discrimination, social expectations, injustices, self love, hard work, following your dreams etc. They have 3 English songs Dynamite, Butter and Permission To Dance which they released during the height of the global pandemic to bring positive vibes and hope to all their fans across the world. Their 3 English songs are not really that deep compared to their Korean songs. The seven members are all songwriters, producers and composers. Although they have in-house producers, they are actively involve in writing, composing and producing their songs from their debut album in 2013 to their solo stuff until now. Their music genres include Pop, Disco-pop, Hip Hop/Rap, Latin Pop, EDM, R&B/Soul, Ballad, Funk, Synth Pop, New Age, Moombhaton, Electronica etc. Name it, they have it. As of March 2023, they have already won over one thousand awards and counting plus individual awards with 28 Guinness World Records as a group plus individual GWR. They top Billboards, Itunes, Spotify, and other music platforms. They are the only Korean artists that got 5 Grammy nominations. As of now, the members are on hiatus due to mandatory military enlistment. 2 of the members have already enlisted (Jin and Jhope). Each member has already released their solo work. Jimin's main track Like Crazy from his album FACE whjich was released in March, topped the Billboard 100, #2 on Billboard 200 and #2 Billboard Global. Jungkook's single SEVEN topped Billboard 100, 200 and Global. Suga has just finished his first ever solo world tour which was also very successful. He's going to enlist soon. Taehyung (aka V) will release his album in September. 4 out of 7 members are million sellers.They sell out stadiums across the globe including Sofi Stadium, Allegiant Stadium, Rose Bowl in the US and the legendary Wembley Stadium in England in less than an hour. Getting a BTS concert ticket is like hunger games.Their music videos are insane but they are better live. @@SK_Reacts Since BTS lyricism usually have really deep meaning such as Blood, Sweat & Tears; Fake Love; Idol; Black Swan; Pied Piper; Spring Day etc. and a lot of their MVs use symbolism, from their costumes to their props and even their choreography, many reactors are confused what's going on in their MVs and sometimes misunderstood the message, so I suggest that after you react to their MVs, you can also react to BTS MV theories and explanations to have a better understanding of the message the group sends to their fans and the general public.💜

Another thing you will notice is there are also many many senior Army, I started my BTS journey in 2014 and resonated with their positive and inspiring lyrics, amazing stage performances and each their own individual talents and today I am 54 and proud to be Army💜

Army are going through a difficult stage at the moment with the members enlisting and so BTS organised to release solo projects to keep us busy until they reunite in 2025 - so you have a heap of time to catch up and Army will be here to help you navigate through their catalogue if you need us ! For Lily - It still gets to all of us watching the guides, the members are extremely talented but remain humble and knowing what they have gone through, and still go through today, makes all of us emotional but very very proud. this was sooo fun to watch. I love your laugh. These guys are special, not just their incredible music and lyrics, but their conduct, their love for their fans and above all else, their love for each other. There is so much content available, 300+ songs and literally thousands of hours of footage, variety shows, behind the scenes...etc.
These guys have the ability to create a bubble of happiness, no matter how shitty your life/day is currently. They are a light for so many people around the world. We laugh with them, we cry with them. They make you feel you´re not alone.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know bts. There is no other like them and no fandom like army. They are one a kind. Many reasons why army continues to support bts even after 10 years. One reason is throughout their story and success they have never changed. They are millionaires yet eat ramen. Every award won they thank army first. No matter how much they are hated and criticized they remain loving and humble. They stand for good, being kind to one another, anti bullying, self love, and be powerful in your own skin. Their songs are never meaningless and always carry a deep meaning. It’s not hard to fall in love with something that’s actually real and positive in this world. Though we are losing them for a period of 2 years as they all must serve in the military we as army will continue to love, support, and grow until they return in 2025.❤

Welcome to the world of BTS ARMYs guys 😊💜 let's grow together.
What an awesome reaction! These 7 members worked so hard and developed their individual craft. While RM and Suga could rap, produce and write they didn’t know how to dance and now are amazing. JHope was a well known street dancer but learned to rap from Suga and RM and developed his own style plus he has a distinctive voice in singing. Jin did not know how to sing or dance and learned while a trainee. JK was a great singer - perfect pitch and learned how to dance and rap. V could sing and dance and learned to develop his voice and dancing. Jimin is a talented contemporary dancer, but in high school also learned ballet, jazz, traditional Korean dancing but never sang. He would go to JK or V’s voice lessons and practice on his own. JK and Jimin both box and are black belts in tae Kwon do. Suga is a self taught musician. They developed their own talents while helping each other. I hope you continue this journey, there is a lot of excellent, funny, heartwarming content to view and enjoy. 💜😊👏🏽

I only decided to check out BTS a few months ago I always thought they weren't going to be for me but I fell in love with them instantly.
They're not like any group you've ever seen they literally do everything and every genre just pure talent and their lyrics are always meaningful and inspiring. Not to mention that they're genuinely good people who truly care about their fans and about each other.
They're also hilarious just full time comedians there's never a dull moment with them

Such a beautiful, heartfelt reaction. I cried with you. I still can’t watch the Wimbley Concert without shedding tears. :)
BTW, all of the guys have solo work out it. JungKook’s song, “Seven” has been named song of the summer. It was number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as was Jimin’s “Like Crazy”. I won’t be surprised it V’s A track song goes to number one when his album is released. JungKook (youngest) and Jin (oldest) are the only other ones who have not released an album yet, Jin is currently serving his mandatory military service, but JungKook plans to have an album out by November. All of their music is different, which I love. And it’s all REALLY GOOD. The rappers are AMAZING. I look forward to seeing you learn more about BTS and the guys individually and seeing you react to their music.
FYI, there is a storyline through BTS albums and some of their mv’s will make more sense if you watch explanation/interpretation videos. My favorite are by xCeleste. She even has some that do an overview of the story.
Their earlier music was hip hop and I love it. You might enjoy seeing them from the beginning. Other than that, I’ll just list two songs each that I love for each. Hope you will add them to your list:

I don’t want to make you even more emotional as I can see how much you’ve been moved by the guys’ story. But when Kookie said he joined at 15 he was using Korean age. By international reckoning, he was only 13 when he joined the company as a trainee and moved away from home. The rest of BTS really did raise him. He debuted at 15 (as the Main Vocal) after 2 years training.
They say BTS comes into your life when you need them and I certainly think that's true. I'm 59 and UK army and discovered BTS at the start of the pandemic. I can't express enough how much I admire and respect them. They are like 7 unicorns going through the world spreading love and joy. All 7 are talented individually but together they are A list Global Superstars and credible artists on the world stage. In my life I've seen many groups come and go but none are like BTS, they are my light. They don't necessarily have the same freedoms that we have so currently they have to enlist in the military, I have other things to say about that but that's for another time. There's some videos you may like this is BTS an introduction and Who is the BTS ARMY they are by exceleste. The Hardships one broke my heart the way they were mistreated was a crime. Other groups their fans and show hosts, they know who they are. Enjoy your trip down the BTS rabbit hole it's an amazing place to be.

Thank you for your reaction. I enjoyed it very much. Just to clarify, JK was actually only 13 years old when he started his training with Big Hit and BTS. The members looked after JK from 13 and they were really good to him even though they weren't much older.
Until a few months back SK had a different aging system than the rest of the world, they changed it to match Universal age a couple of months ago. It used to be that when a baby is born, they are immediately 1 year old. On New Year Day all of South Koreans age by one year, regardless of the month they are born. Confusing isn't it?
I hope that you explore more of BTS music, they really do have something for everybody. I personally perfer their Korean songs many of which have English subtitles. They came up against a lot of hate and disrespect in the years following their debut and they wrote and performed quite a few diss tracts without naming names.

Just to make it clear, a lot of times the guys say they are a certain age but that was Korean age, so Jungkook was only 13 😲(international age) when he left home to join the company and train and they debuted when he was 15! I’ve said this before but I would have had a hard time as his mom letting him go off to the big city alone to train and go to school. But look at him Now!! I guess it all turned out for the best! He has an amazing solo song on Map of the Soul:7 album called My Time about giving up his teen years to pursue his dream. I cried when I first heard it. There is a great explanation video of that song by Bookish Theories also! 💜💜💜🫶🏻. Your tears at the end means you get it. They bring me to tears all the time, I think because the world has gotten so stressful lately and they just bring so much light and love into my heart.
People who don't know BTS or Kpop allow themselves to criticize BTS, while every day I love myself even more because they keep telling us "love yourself". I was depressed before I knew BTS, but because of them, I laugh every day. For information, V's album will be released on September 8th and Jungkook released his single "seven". Finally, Jungkook said he'll release a single and a mini album by November.

- First off, thank you for watching Taylor Mari's intro. Choosing to learn about their background shows a lot of respect. I would recommend pairing it with XCeleste's video BTS Hardships 2013-2021 (linked below) to truly understand what they're up against. It's not a fun video but it'll give you a great insight into why they have such a uniquely close bond with ARMY. I've honestly never come across anything like it before.
- Second, I promise you won't regret looking deeper into their discography. They do just about all genres so there's always something to fit your mood. Personally I love their more political songs like N.O, Baepsae, Spine Breaker, Am I Wrong and Spring Day (fondly nicknamed the Queen because it's been on the South Korean charts non-stop for five years so far. If/when you watch that one make sure to include the explanation video by Italian ARMY linked below and bring tissues! Trigger warning: References a national tragedy involving children).
- Third, have fun on your BTS journey no matter how long or short it may be. These are seven truly amazing young men who, if you let them, can change your entire world view. They completely changed my life with their song Epiphany (one of the reasons Jin is my bias) which is now my life mantra, their genuine love for each other and their fans and their charming, fun-loving and giving personalities. They and my fellow ARMYs have helped restore my very tattered faith in humanity and for that I'm forever grateful.

79 yr old ARMY. BTS brought my love of music back to me at a time when I was struggling. I love the variety of genres they bring to us. I have even learned to appreciate and enjoy(Korean) rap. Their lyrics, musicality and choreography are exceptional but their humble and sincere natures are a large part of what drew me to them and keeps me an appreciative fan! They had their 10 anniversary of their Debut 2months ago. Now they are all slowly entering their military service after their individual solo work. As a group we won't see them together again until 2025. Jin will be out first he's already done about 8 months so has another 12months to serve. J Hope will come out next and we've just had the official announcement that Suga will be entering the military in the few few days having completed his Solo Concert Tour. They keep giving us so much content while on their way to do their military duty.

Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
So, The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted.
In Korea when you were born you were considered 1 year old. Then on Korean new year every year you added another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee)
Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo)
Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11
JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8
RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13
Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo)
V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo)

Rule of thumb for older videos - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age.

So Tae born 30 Dec 95 is 1 year old, then on 01 Jan 96 he is 1 more year older (so they would say he is 2 years old, when we would say he is 2 days old.)
So he was considered 29 in Korea since 01 January, we would say he is 27 turning 28 in Dec.
It's a different way of looking at age, from new years day - Tae is living his 29th year (since conception) - instead of - he turned 27 (since birth)....
The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age.
