you have to understand that jimin had just 6 months to fit into the group , the rest of the members have years, so it's not that he was a bad singer or dancer(he was in the top of his contemporary school, trained in a lot of different styles) , he just wasn't used to those dances and he didn't have any vocal training, even the company tried to make him rap instead of sing

There were even worse when they first went to America where there were people who insulted them right in their faces and all the members can do at that time was show a faded smile and keep going. Every time I see the clip where a lady shouted at them for waving their hands, it still hurt. Apparently, American celebrities don't wave their hands on red carpets (not sure if it's really the case). Now, people seem so respectful because they've already shown their influence and their fanbase.

The other episode with him in the same uniform was him entering high school. This was him graduating high school. Notice when he entered they had just debuted and no press was there. And the amount of reporters there just for him at graduation. The BTS members didn’t watch his graduation in the same room as everyone else. They had to wait in a classroom. Bc they thought they would cause too much of a disturbance bc all of the attention would be on them and not the graduates

Jimin could dance, the translation was a big rough at one stage... he was trained in modern, classical and ballet dance and was top student. The issue with his dancing was being cut was that the company weren't convinced he could dance hip hop to the standard they wanted because he was trained in modern dance. Even though he had taken hip hop lessons in his spare time and did dance battles. They needed him to prove it to them.... which he did!!! But it was tough and they pilled on the pressure to him. ( See You Quiz On the Block show for more info too!) Jimin could sing and beautifully as Suga identified early on (again see Jimin's episode on Suchwita ) but had no vocal training so couldn't control his voice well. Jungkook and V had vocal lessons but they didn't give them to Jimin so he would sit at the back of theirs and then practice what he learnt there on his own but it was for their voices not Jimin's so not so tailored and helpful as it could have been and he didn't get the teachers imput. And yet he still hit those high notes so early on. That is talent. V and Jin's argument was serious at the time and they really talked it out for hours afterwards Team support in resolving issues was key. In some of the scenes around 16.00 you saw the members battling injuries. Jimin has a chronic neck and shoulder condition, he had to sit out a concert and it recurs still to this day and needs a lot of treatment. Suga was battling with his shoulder, RM his feet and leg... they really pushed themselves to the limit.
At least they can say they gave it their all.
@@DANDJREACT No this person got it wrong , it was cuz of his dancing background he is suppose to be part of the dance line , so the teacher will ask for him more than other non dance lines , so he will be in the front a lot and do a lot of dance break in the test , but for a team need to be perfect , like make the audience look where they need to look to understand the dance as a whole , so the issue with jimin with his different dance style that he got from the school and the lack of experience in a team , cuz those schools teach you to be the best and be the one that outsell the most , not about the team. Meanwhile jhope had a lot experience in team and also as an individual ( cuz he also went to a school ). So jhope it’s really good to mix with the team , something that jimin lacked , so when he isn’t in the middle or the part that the audience not need to focus on , he get the focus to much cuz he do his style that he had in his muscles memory cuz he did this since he was a kid , so made the dance look messy. So to change it it’s a lot of work , cuz your musically it’s already developed in a style that you were taught , so that’s why he tried and practiced a lot to actually follow the team not himself.
After BTS got stable you can tell they didn’t ask him for him to be in the line much as before , cuz you start to see , specially in 2018 how he gets out of the line and flow with his own tempo making the choreo not look that coordinated. And that’s why jhope is the dance leader cuz he makes sure everyone gets his lines well and also try to mix and make it look smooth the differents in energy and skill between non dance line and dance line , that’s why he tend to be in the back and paired with non dance line a lot in the routines , and with this their choreos and performances can look smooth. But now a days “fans “ don’t tend to see it cuz they get offended about anything specially the ML fans , when everyone and their mamas , including BTS themselves know each other skills pretty well and that’s why they work so well as a team and they became big.

At this point in their journey, they were about 15% of how famous they are now, at best. Don't forget that this was an uphill climb all over the world.

There are 2 reasons they swim fully clothed.
First, showing a lot of skin is not really a part of Korean culture, especially for idols. They were being filmed for one of their specials, so they were wearing clothes for that reason. It used to be that if they were doing Run BTS and their shirts rose a couple of inches the editors would put a graphic to cover it.
Things have changed quite a bit in Chapter 2, theyve all pretty much posted shirtless pics.
The 2nd reason is to avoid the sun. Colorism is still pretty strong in SK, and having a tan is considered low class. If you ever see them on vacation in a really sunny region, they will have long sleeves most of the time, and any exposed skin is heavily slathered in sunscreen.

Yes, those racist remarks came from common individuals, not celebrities, although some celebs, news media & journalists, etc have also made racist & xenophobic comments about BTS over the years. Racism against Asians has been around for a long time in the US, even to this day. It's not just racism & xenophobia, but there is also the US feeling a sense of threat by not being on top anymore when it comes to the music industry, either due to blind patriotism & nationalism or some form of superiority complex. This is why there have been instances where the US music industry has undermined BTS in some cases with awards & music charting, not just because of xenophobia but also of that said threat of having their favorite artists becoming second to BTS. Sure, this hate & prejudice may have become less & less perhaps, but you don't know that until they come out of the woodwork, just like you saw on those tweets. Tiger Woods has also gotten a lot of racism, but it was mostly because he was black, even though he is half Asian & yet he was born in the US. Even if BTS has gotten huge & has become the top band in the world, they still get hate to this day, both from haters in their own country & also hate around the world. But the good thing is that the hate they get is compensated by having the biggest fandom in the world & that they are all now multi-millionaires. It is an uphill battle, but they keep proving everyone wrong, even when haters keep moving the hate bar higher & higher, BTS conquers those bars. You have already reacted to xCeleste's BTS Hardships video, so you already know what's going on. In the end, in the grand scheme of things, is it really worth hating on something/someone that works in the entertainment industry? As BTS once said/sang... instead on hating on us, focus your hate & anger on something more useful, that can improve the world. Just that remark & suggestion by BTS alone is not only genius & wisdom, but also a stepping stone.

Also, I should add the reason they were swimming with clothes on was because until recently (chapter 2) BTS were censored. If there shirt drifted up in a dance practice it would be covered with a cute enojii or Chimmy or Mang circle.... ...honestly this was how we lived for years....then chapter 2 happens and there are semi naked members everywhere!! It's a complete change and we're still getting used to it 😂😂. Taehyung said chapter 2 is not about BTS being shirtless.... well he lied it completely is!! Jimin with no shirt in his music video and showing us all his back tattoos.... we've waited years.... Jungkook and Calvin Klein, RM working out shirtless, Taehyung on the beach.... I mean.... then Jimin's previous Tattoo artist spilling them all on Instagram and we get fully topless tattooed Jimin!! You have to open Twitter under caution these days!!😂

Jimin's voice is very unique. When he worries and doesn't give himself enough credit, it may not be solely the audience in mind but also their detractors. BTS had experienced being criticized a lot esp in the early days when those who felt threatened kept trying to bring them down. They would be accused of lip-synching, etc. The 4 vocalists in BTS all have different timbres and tones, which gives very good sonic combinations!

I'll add one more quick note bc I like you all 😂 BTS worked ridiculously hard first few years. And it was shocking for them, the fame. And that made them work harder afraid to disappoint anyone. This was the first band in Korea to get such global attention and it was very heavy on them representing their country and music. They worked so hard that end of 2017, they were so tired and personally some were depressed by the pressure, that they were going to break up. 2017 was probably the worst year for them. But, they agreed to resign the contract and then they really blew up taking over America. But, at that point they DID learn to take it easy. That they didn't need to be perfect. How to have more fun on stage. Etc. A lot of these things in episode 14 are still from the years they were struggling mentally and physically.

Believe it or not, I also found out there are a lot of people out there who still don't know that South Korea exist. People are more aware of North Korea politically and think Koreans are all from there as one country not divided. It's like thinking North America and South America is the same country and they are all Americans.😄

2017 to me is the most bizarre, happiest but horrible year as well. I do got that nervous feeling when they get nominated for the first time at Billboard and I do expect racism gonna happened but damn its worse than I expected which is just so sad and disappointing and even more sad that BTS definitely know this but never once openedly complained about it at that time. There is even paparazzi during the red carpet shouting uncomfortable things in front of them and I am kind of glad that BTS did not understand English at that time but still RM must heard it and imagine how he must feel. If it were me going to another country and being treated like that in public, I don't think I am gonna survive that mentally.

None of the vocalists were experienced singers. Jin had zero experience in dance or voice. He never was interested. He wanted to act.
JK had a natural singing voice, but he couldn’t dance. Bang sent him to the US with the performance director/choreographer so he could focus on dancing with emotion. When he came back, he wanted to join the dance troop and stop singing. Jimin told him no don’t be ridiculous you are the main vocalist. Taehyung played Saxophone. He was told before he didn’t have a talent for singing.
Jhope was a street dancer. He did not sing or rap. Bang suggested he consider rapping because he was so good at riding the beat. Jimin made a name for himself in Busan. He was referred to as the rising star of Busan. He had won dance competitions, battles, made a name for himself in middle school as a performer plus he was class president for 9 consecutive years, he graduated valedictorian. Entered the Arts Highschool as top student academically in the entire school, student in the dance department focusing on contemporary dance. He was considered by the teachers as gifted. When auditioned for BH, he was the only one selected from Busan. The three vocalists had already been with the company at least a year. The rappers much longer. Jimin moved to Seoul at 17 Korean age to train. His training was less organized and than the others.
It’s like they selected him, but didn’t know what they were going to do with him. The six members were already close. He took the initiative and asked Tae and JK to audit their vocal lessons.
People talk about how hard he worked, he had to. He was trying to basically play catch up. He had to learn BTS’ synchronized dancing and a female staffer constantly threatened to cut him. By the time the company decided to train him they were only a few months away from debut. He had the shortest training period. Although he didn’t have much vocal training, his high notes shed a spotlight on the group.
Jimin’s insecurities were born out of those constant verbal threats of being cut. The lack of planning and direction by artist development regarding his training. Thanks to Suga for immediately going to them and telling them he is not a rapper. Apparently, they were trying to make him rap. It’s obvious he is a singer. His tone. He was a confident young man before joining BigHit. I still feel some kind of way about Bang not affording Jimin the best training like the others. He was there 9 months. His official training was for six months. He took the initiative for the first three months, then he was selected as a member and trained 6 months before debut. He was stressed the F out.
He has started over with proper vocal training now at a pace that is reasonable. He obviously adapted, but he knows his deficits and he is working on them. He wants to be the best. He Is a work in progress.

they are very aware of the damage sun does to skin. They wear trunks, and t shirts' when ever outside. some of them, like Suga, wear long sleeves. He says he is so fair he burns and peels and gets a sun rash.

When CEO Bang wanted to cut Jimin because he just had a short time to train the boys asked him not too. Bang learned a while ago to trust the group he put together so he chose to listen to them and it’s a good thing he did and not send Jimin home.

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. The symbol is for their Wings album. If u read the subs and watch the vid it will ans all ur questions. Because ur just skimming ur missing a lot. I suggest u rewatch these on ur own time and pay attention. They are swimming fully clothed because censorship u know. A bunch of girls watch their vids some are under age. 0.o
So Filter is the name of Jimin's solo song. So I would assume this chap. focuses more on him. This was also an emotional one. JK was so cute. So cool to see new footage. The members are sweet. He was so happy to have them there at his graduation. And they went to eat at the same place again 3 yrs later. Aww. Plus, he still had a pic of their dinner from 3 yrs past gosh darn it. Sheesh. My heart! Jimin's story was sad. But I have heard it before. I love Lie. It is my fav song by him. He slayed it. But it was a really tough one for him. I remember he said he cried hard after he danced it for the first time. This one is therapy for him. He also has said he will not perform it again. He will make a new song. Like Army has said; Jimin said that he did not receive any vocal training when he was a trainee and because of that it was hard not knowing what to do, he had to ask if he could go listen to other members' vocal lessons, then he practiced what he heard by himself, at the same time he received pressure from the company making him believe that he was not needed in the group, threatening to expel him on several occasions. It was inevitable that Jimin would put pressure on himself with this, they gave him the position of Lead Vocal and since 2013 a large part of the high notes, treble, harmonies and backgrounds in the songs have been in his charge. Even so, he has always given his best both on albums and live, that's very admirable. I remember JK was teaching Jimin after his voice lessons. Also, all of them were trainees for 3 yrs more or less except Jimin. He only trained for 6-8 months before debut. It makes sense for him who was self conscious to put himself down mentally. He was the best in HS and now he is not and being a perfectionist this is really tough to deal with. But he always been a hard worker and I am so glad V and the others stood up for him and made the company aware they are debuting as 7! They grew and learned as the years passed. I think changed them from hip hop to idol was the best for Jimin. =0) V's and Jin's argument sounded like V was pointing out Jin was not in the correct place. But Jin is self conscious about his dancing so his feelings got hurt. I am glad they worked it out. There is a lot of emotions during concert for sure. V's range is wild right. So impressive. Many vocal professionals say Stigma is his best song. They are the most documented yeah. But other groups are catching up. BTS is used as a model of what works for many smaller debuting groups. But also I think the older groups are getting on this trend. More content lets u reach more fans so everyone is trying it i feel. DAMN!🤦🏼♀️ I can't forget the iconic live Stigma performance where the master of breath control stunned audiences with the most impressive high notes pulled from the deepest voice of the BTS vocal line!

So a few things with this chapter.
Anyone can learn to sing or dance. What makes the difference in quality and level you can rise to is you and the person teaching you. It's just like anyone can be a runner but the people who have exceptional talent and work ethic are the ones who usually make it to the top.
The racist comments at the end well... racism itself is generally bred out of ignorance. Most people when they first get into BTS generally don't even know that there is a difference between North and South Korea or even where Korea is. BTW when they were putting the wig on V for the drama he was in - long hair is not necessarily a 'Ninja' thing (as you said). Korea has a long history and in the past men having long hair was common and a status symbol. There's more to it than that but just in general. I'm not trying to be mean - just pointing out the irony that you got offended at the end about others making racist comments when you made one yourself in the video by assuming that an Asian male with long hair is a Ninja (Japanese). I know it wasn't intentially meant that way so I'm not hating on you - just pointing out the irony of it.

If i am not mistaken V explained that the song was related to how he felt about what be perceived was his weaknesses..that he he felt he wasnt doing his best. Maybe someone can help. I am not sure if it was on Suchwita. He explained the origin of the song. It was not about ships etc. Its an anazing song and V's songs and his voice make them the best solos. All of them have the best solos. But v's are not cookie cutter.

kpop is a deferent world, idols train for uptil 1-5 years and over that time they get housing food and teachers but all of that has to be paid back after they debut.
and depending on how popular your group are, the more money they will earn. BTS label had nothing and all members came from poor families except for Jin. so they all acuminated alot of debt and they actually paid that off the first 3 years of their career.
after wings album (this ep) they started to earn some money for themself.
it is a gamle each label take. lets say you have a group of 13 members for 4 years who end up getting cut because they are not popular enough that is a major loss.

Hi guys… I have noticed that you and a couple other reactors do not react to current music put out by BTS. I don’t know if someone is guiding you in this direction, but I am sure other ARMY’S, would love to see your reactions to current music. JK just put out an MV, Standing Next to You, and you’re not reacting to it until December. Each member has put out their solos for this year and I really feel and wished you would react to those. We pre record and pre schedule all of our videos 3-4 weeks in advance to stay ahead of schedule.
We do not pick the songs we react to. Our Patreon and TH-cam subscribers pick them for us.
Every Monday on our Patreon channel we post a Top 3 Videos poll. We post 5 songs and our Patreons choose their Top 3 favorite songs to be played the following Fri, Sat and Sun.
Every Friday on our Patreon channel we do a video raffle. Members of our Super Stans tier can comment one song each Friday that they want us to react to. We use a randon raffle generator to choose tge winning song. The winning song gets played the following Friday.
Every Thursday on our TH-cam community page we offer a video poll.
