    I recently went from an F3 (2016) to a 2021 RT. The rear cog on the RT is smaller than my F3. I live in Canada. The end result is ( and I like it) is at highway speed I am revving about 300 RPM lower in 6th gear. I just started following your channel....... good vids!! Cheers from the Great White North.

    I remember when I upgraded from an ‘89 Goldwing to a ‘95. Before I left the dealer my ‘89 was sold and going to Ireland. The reason is similar to you as the U.S. models have more bells and whistles (lights and stuff) than the UK models.

    Great video. Very interesting actually, loved it. I actually like your turn indicators in the side mirrors better than the ones on my R/T limited here in the U.S. . Thank you for this comparison video.

    Greetings, thank you very much for your research and for taking the time and trouble to let us know the results. I've just bought a 2020F3 S SE6 and would not have realized there were differences so would have accepted what I got without being any the wiser. Now I still have to accept but do so with knowledge which is power.

      Hi Dion.
      Congratulations on your purchase. Myself and my partner Catrina both have owned a F3-S and to date it is still my favourite model. The Aussie version is no less a great bike. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun on your bike. It is very likely most dealers wouldn't know the difference between the two country versions if you asked.
      We eventually purchased the factory exhaust and returned it to its original condition. It's not necessary, but we just liked the factory look better. If we can help you in the future, drop us a line here or on Facebook @Mike DownUnder
      All the best and be safe.
      Mike & Catrina

    My 2015 RT has turn signals on the mirrors. I'm in Florida, USA.

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou. Yes...the pre 2020 model RT’s had the mirror indicators. For some reason the new design RT’s didn’t get the mirror turn signals in the US, Canada, Europe and a few other countries.

    2016 F3 in Oz also has a different rear cog. A mate ordered a belt for his from the USA and it didn't fit. It was a different length.

      I too would like to know part numbers for those rearview mirror housing turn signals.

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here is the site where I reference part numbers. I suggest you’ll need to do a deep dive to find that part number, also, possibly contact your local dealer and tell them what you’re trying to achieve. They will have a better parts database. Link: can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/us/en/shop/sales/parts/
      You need to research if the wiring exists to support the side mirror indicators in your models.
      All the best

    can't imagine what the f-3 is like with a 79 tooth rear sprocket. Mine in the US has an 89 tooth rear sprocket and is a pig off the line from a dead stop, can't imagine what ten less teeth would be like. Might have to get off and give it a push to get it going!!!

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Allan
      Stop 🛑 pushing that F3 😁 Even our F3 is reasonable off the mark, my rear tyre/tire can attest for that. Yours should be better again. I wonder if you don’t have something else going on...just a thought 🤔

    I'm looking at the Spyder. Right now I have a Can Am X-3 side by side. We can use them on the road here with a turn signal/ horn kit. They have the same engine except the X-3 is a turbo with 195 horsepower. (Yes, it's very fast)
    I wonder if the Spyder can have a turbo?

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      BRP did make a Spyder F3 Turbo, but it was a 'One Only' for marketing purposes. I suppose it demonstrates it can be done, but for the average guy, it would be a big expensive task. Cheers Mike

    MORE INFORMATION - I was informed late today (19th Feb) by a person smarter than I who has more knowledge of the Australian Design Rules (ADR’s)
    The reason our Aussie 2020 Canam Spyder RT’s don’t have the blinkers in the mudguards, instead opting for the side mirror indicators. The regulators don’t allow indicators on/in moving parts, aka the mudguard, which turns.
    You could argue the merits of that to the cows come home. I find it interesting and a little bewildering. Just a note: This is not a BRP issue, just our nanny country we call Australia.

    man this is interesting, Bob from NZ here I bought 2020 RTL 3 months ago dealer could only get left side mudguard blinker to work so disconnected it to comply the bike and ordered another light from BRP it turned up an it didn't work either so has re ordered it again. I have also added floor board lights and front mudguard lights where the reflectors sit from slingmods.com. Cheers Bob.

    • @RoundTheKorner
      @RoundTheKorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bob. This may interest you, a fellow in Victoria purchased his 2020 RT LTD and it mistakenly came with one mudguard blinker. He went the other way and ordered an additional blinker. In his case both mudguard blinkers work now and it looks good.
      Bob...do the NZ RT's come with or without the side mirror indicators?
      Cheers

      @@RoundTheKorner yes mine has the mirror indicators but only left side mudguard indicator but will wait and see what dealer comes up with for right side I cant see why we didn't get the high level light in top case or the ones in the front as makes the bike more visible.

    The 79t versus 89t rear pulley is a big topic here in the USA. It CANNOT be switched. Entirely different ECU/BUDS system will not allow it. BRP doesn't/will not offer a solution to the switch.

    Hello from Northern Virginia USA! I wish we had the turn signal on the rearview mirror option. I uploaded a short clip here showing the front fender lights here: th-cam.com/video/d-K19HssqpQ/w-d-xo.html
    I say the more lights the better. I want to add the foot running board lights. Bright white while moving and flashes amber when signaling. If you can, could you find out the part # for the rearview mirrors from a dealer and post?
