I recently started fishing again after 2 decades. I’m now trying to learn how to do all this again on my own. I’m usually fishing streams and small rivers here in Colorado. Thank you for all the assistance your channel has given me.

You got to love the Quad(we always called it a Double-Double). Try it when you only have two people in the boat, it definitely gets the blood pumping.
I agree with you. Just getting into kokanee fishing this year. And each time I've been going out trying different things as speed, zigzag, color of dodger any paying attention to structurts. I notice that I've been catching more and getting little bit better in understanding what the fish like. As for one of my fishing buddy. He'll fish with his flasher from mornong to afternoon and would not switch up. He doesn't get much action as I do. Just pure laziness. Lol

I figured out the pattern at out local pond for the stocker trout they want is gold spoons and gold bladed spinners and I have been putting the hammer down by twitching with kastmasters!

Great video! I just don't understand why there are 14 thumbs down on this vid, it's very informative and you guys a awesome team! I always recommend you guys in my vids! Keep em' coming! I'm still waiting on a video on how to catch lake Brown trout. I have never caught one in my life and have been trying to catch one on my favorite lake here in WA. I have seen a couple people catch them and tried their way but no luck!!!!
This video came at the perfect time, I'm in the boston suburbs and the trout around here are really pressured, this helped, but can you do a video about how to catch trout in grassy ponds that don't allow kayaks?
Limited to shore fishing? Carolina rigged power bait or floating worm. Or soak a worm or salmon egg under a bobber. Play with depth, try to be just above the grass. Get your two rod permit and use the other rod to cast cast masters and rooster tails.

You touched on my biggest problem with lake fishing for trout - temperature and water column. I would love to see a tutorial specific to this topic. You mentioned the water temperature was 42F, is this surface temp?
For lake fishing, would you recommend a 7' ultralight rod or a 7' 6" ultralight rod?

Love your stuff I subbed, I just got out of the army and I’m trying to take up fishing but I feel like I’m always doing something wrong and I don’t get many fish while others around me are I just wanna catch more fish!!! I release them if they are still healthy I don’t eat fish to much but I just wanna catch them and these videos make me feel like I might be able to lol
