Armie got to say plenty. Bill's a stage performer...talking a lot is normal for him. My mom was a teacher for decades and she's the same way. She doesn't even notice it. It's not ego, it's just a function of habit.

I almost didn't click on this interview. I'm so glad I did click on it! It's inspiring to see someone rise from the ashes like this. Also, a lot of people on the comment section seem to criticize Bill Maher. But, I think he's cool. The point of this pod cast is for people to be natural. Bill Maher is simply having a conversation, not an "interview".
Anyway, I absolutely enjoyed every word of this conversation and I will re-watch it when I need some inspiration and/or when I need a reminder not to take things so seriously. Thank you Bill and Armie.

It’s unfortunate that we hold celebrities to higher standards than our political leaders.
I never understood the overreaction to the text messages between him and the women. Those were intimate thoughts between adults that fit into a certain context. Was he a jerk for cheating on his wife and misleading other women? Yes100%. But the women also knew that he was married with kids and that didn’t stop them from getting with him. People are messy and complicated. It is not victim shaming or blaming to speak the facts. And it should never have been any of our business to hear about them. He was the boy who flew too close to the sun. That’s all.

The boy who flew too close to the sun? Ha! Perhaps, but I can understand why a production company isn't much interested in casting him in their latest rom-com.
As for him partaking in consensual, kinky sex... Yeah, that's probably mostly true, which is why the courts dropped their case against him. However I see another not so flattering angle: instead of seeking out experienced BDSM enthusiasts from wherever such people meet, he'd apparently rather pick up some ingenue and see what he can make her do. I suspect their discomfort is what gets him off -he is a sadist after all. Is he really so surprised some of these girls experienced buyer's remorse?

In the “little” time that Armie had to express himself on this show, he appears as a man of great intelligence, who manages to understand what happened to him. He has grown very quickly in recent years. I thought he was a good actor before all that, now I have to add a captivating human being. Armie is very inspiring in his very mature approaches to everything that has come his way in recent times. He seems to have understood the essentials and has grown from it. I hope that very soon a director will want to cast him in a good film, he is missing a lot in cinema. See you soon Armie and with more time to also “listen” because it deserves more listening time. Thanks to him !

  • @DariaShatov
    @DariaShatov 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

I have a son. And as a mother of a beautiful and bright young man, I really feel for Armie. Let’s look at the facts.
Fact 1 - Armie was sexually abused by a male adult at the age of 13. It would be monstrous of us to think it’s not a big deal. No matter what kind of family you are from, no matter what money you come from, that experience is not an easy one to survive through undamaged psychologically. It takes huge amount of time, effort, therapy, love, friendship to get over. It is shallow to assume it was not a big deal for Armie. His confidence and trust most likely were shaken to core, which logically leads then to the next fact.
Fact 2 - How old was Armie when he met his ex-wife? How old was she? He was not a mature man, she was already a mature woman then. While he was in a la-la-land of youth, inexperienced, hurt, and naive, she knew what she was doing. It is hard for me to imagine there was no manipulation involved on her part.
Fact 3 - He cheated on his wife? Were they already estranged by then? He admits he did. He blames himself for being selfish. He has matured. Honestly, however, when an older woman marries a gorgeously looking but very young man, what do we all expect to happen in a few years?
Fact 4 - Divorces with battles over custody of kids are often brutal even for average income families of regular folks. Here we have a movie star, a white guy “from big money family” who dares to leave his wife during a “me too” frenzy in the wokest craze our country has ever experienced. For a manipulative woman, this was too much of a temptation to resist. She had a motive, a desire, connections and means to crush him.
Fact 5 - Armie doesn’t say anything mean about his ex although there is plenty of evidence of what she has done to his career and reputation. As a true gentleman, he chose to focus on his own shortcomings, protect his children, and grow.
This man deserves his name to be cleared and his career restored. I think he has done more work and reflection than most of us would in his circumstances. So, please, be kind, folks. Stop stoning people for entertainment and your need of fake virtue signaling. Just because someone dumped a bucket of his dirty laundry in front of you, it doesn’t mean your own laundry is any cleaner. Be nice.

His actions were a cry for help so someone could stop him. Addiction is the souls attempt to cry out for a time out. It’s a cry to feel love in a situation that doesn’t feed the soul. I didn’t think Bill Maher was going to be the cringe worthy one of the two. Armie seems to have gotten some good therapy. Maybe he can help Bill.

Army did a podcast with his friend a few weeks ago and speaks in complete honesty of a changed man for the best! I can tell he’s totally in his healing truth as I can tell as I too lost everything but by an abuser! Same healing process and when you no longer look for anyone else to blame but yourself- that’s how one can see someone is truly working on changing the only thing we can -ourselves!
I was hoping Bill was going to ask more direct and uncomfortable questions than a true friend can, and he did. Yet, as if he felt embarrassed for asking he would answer over top Army who was willing to respond to every question. But, then being a considerate listener he would stop to listen to Bill! If you didn’t see his other recent podcast on you tube with his friend- you will learn a lot more from Army in how he was, and how he changed!

Everyone lay off of Bill...it's his podcast, he's getting his swerve on, he obviously enjoying himself while discussing this topic, he can talk all he wants... Do you realize how stoked Armie Hammer is for this opportunity to be on this podcast in an effort to rehabilitate his image? BTW I'm rooting for him and hope to see him in future projects. Everyone has made mistakes and he was cleared legally. He seems to be in a better place now. Plus, he rocked as the Winklvoss twins in Social Network.

@@marykay7878 True. A smart woman, no matter how hurt by infidelity, wouldn’t drag her children’s father through that. Hopefully, she and the rest of the maenads who participated in the vicious frenzy to destroy this man will come to Jesus soon and make a documentary on their own toxic femininity. We all gotta learn to face the music, right?
