Oh my, look at the number of views for this podcast! It says it all: Armie has just single handedly raised Bill Maher’s counts, and note he barely had a chance to speak. This guy is loved tremendously, and his fans are looking forward to his comeback. Here is for new and better achievements, Armie! Stay the course ❤
Bill Maher is just so unbelievably full of himself. I just can't take him anymore. I only stopped by to hear Armie Hammer attempt to worm his way outta everything that's been said about him.
I have a son. And as a mother of a beautiful and bright young man, I really feel for Armie. Let’s look at the facts. Fact 1 - Armie was sexually abused by a male adult at the age of 13. It would be monstrous of us to think it’s not a big deal. No matter what kind of family you are from, no matter what money you come from, that experience is not an easy one to survive through undamaged psychologically. It takes huge amount of time, effort, therapy, love, friendship to get over. It is shallow to assume it was not a big deal for Armie. His confidence and trust most likely were shaken to core, which logically leads then to the next fact. Fact 2 - How old was Armie when he met his ex-wife? How old was she? He was not a mature man, she was already a mature woman then. While he was in a la-la-land of youth, inexperienced, hurt, and naive, she knew what she was doing. It is hard for me to imagine there was no manipulation involved on her part. Fact 3 - He cheated on his wife? Were they already estranged by then? He admits he did. He blames himself for being selfish. He has matured. Honestly, however, when an older woman marries a gorgeously looking but very young man, what do we all expect to happen in a few years? Fact 4 - Divorces with battles over custody of kids are often brutal even for average income families of regular folks. Here we have a movie star, a white guy “from big money family” who dares to leave his wife during a “me too” frenzy in the wokest craze our country has ever experienced. For a manipulative woman, this was too much of a temptation to resist. She had a motive, a desire, connections and means to crush him. Fact 5 - Armie doesn’t say anything mean about his ex although there is plenty of evidence of what she has done to his career and reputation. As a true gentleman, he chose to focus on his own shortcomings, protect his children, and grow. This man deserves his name to be cleared and his career restored. I think he has done more work and reflection than most of us would in his circumstances. So, please, be kind, folks. Stop stoning people for entertainment and your need of fake virtue signaling. Just because someone dumped a bucket of his dirty laundry in front of you, it doesn’t mean your own laundry is any cleaner. Be nice.
Unfortunately, many prefer to ignore facts - it’s so much easier to hate out of envy, too. You are right, this actor deserves his reputation and career back.
Childhood trauma messes you up. Then to be an attractive Hollywood star where you can get anything you want, is a head trip. I am not surprised Armie abused substances and blew up his family. It sounds like he has worked through a lot though and is changed. Hopefully his progress continues and he can put a together a healthier life.
My 90 year old father didn’t get many visitors but when he did he talked on and on the same way Bill does. Lonely people do this. I often fast forward while Bill is going on and on so I can hear what the guest has to say.
Really doesn’t matter, actually. What matters is he was a child and was abused by an adult who had trust of his family. That takes a lot of time and work to heal from.
@@mariannelaba Religious or pretending to be religious - either way, it was a “trusted” adult who abused that trust. It could have been a teacher, a family friend, whatever. What matters it was an adult. As a mother, I don’t wish such experience on anyone’s child.
Not everybody has to be handled with kid gloves, and some people can see the humor with the pain. Armie Hammer, being a sadist, seems to have an appreciation for that humor.
@@erickincaid9779 Well, only moments earlier had he admitted to only recently felt comfortable talking about it. Plus, it’s pretty obvious from his reaction that he didn’t like the “joke.”
"canceling" is a fantasy of empowerment from people who never got picked for sports. We need to stop talking about it as though it's anything tangible.
@@cafeAmericano very interesting. Would love to hear more. I agree, we talk about complex social, economic, divisive subjects with a simple answer- that something or someone is oppressing us. The cancel thing seems to be a catch all for anytime someone is opposed by an institution to which they belong/ belonged. It is a lazy, subjective and entitled interpretation of me vs everyone else dynamics. Ego is the enemy... I wish we could do a post mortem on when cancelation did not benefit those raising it's flag. We have stumbled into a scenario where.... one is guilty until proven innocent. Mind boggling.
@@cafeAmericanoWhat in the fuck are you talking about? The term is used because “cancellation”, in show business, generally means that a production has been ended prematurely. Lately, it’s been used ironically in reference to individuals who’s careers in show business have been effectively ended or greatly diminished, typically do to some social faux pas on their part outside of their work. What isn’t “tangible” about that? What are you having difficulty understanding here? Ask some more questions and I’ll clear up your confusion around this basic concept.
BILL! Tell Armie to give Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg a call. He should be a part of the "Unwoke" Production Company. I think the world is a spectrum and people make mistakes and we should accept people for thier strengths and shortcomings.
Its his show. His party. If your an Armie fan go watch his movies. This is an avenue for Bill Maher to present himself. It’s why it’s call Real Time w BILL MAHER. You are kind of dumb.

Hope Armie gets a come back. he is honest. no one tells the both side of the story - cant trust media/biased journalists. thanks bill for giving him a platform. i will buy tickets to watch his movies
Sex is just the formhis desire took him to escape. The escape was the whole point - to run away from himself. The D &His D was just the vehicle to escape. He’s exploring his need to escape and finding now that he doesn’t really need to because the exposure forced him to confront what was not working for him. His actions were a cry for help so someone could stop him. Addiction is the souls attempt to cry out for a time out. It’s a cry to feel love in a situation that doesn’t feed the soul. The soul must breathe and at times we are our own enemy. It takes some people a lifetime to discover that but only by experiencing life can we own it. I’m happy for Armie that he’s honest and has a sense of humor about himself.
I absolutely agree with you re finding various ways of escaping. It makes me wonder, if he returns to acting, what effect it'll have on him. Though he sounds as though he has grown immensely over the past wee while. Perhaps he may find it preferable being behind a camera rather than in front of it. Time will tell I guess. But I wish him every success in whatever he tries his hand at.
Thanks you, I was hungry to see Armie again. I miss you as an actor. I agree that when Bill is stoned he talks too much but that's what Club Random is. AH brave of you and glad to learn you are phoenixing through this. I want to see Part 2 of this interview.

Love this interview. This is coming from a 64-year-old woman who gets it. You gentlemen really get it. Women who get hurt sometimes want to hurt you any way they can. They can justify it. Happy that Arnie Hammer is in a better place. He’s still a great actor. Good luck!
Army did a podcast with his friend a few weeks ago and speaks in complete honesty of a changed man for the best! I can tell he’s totally in his healing truth as I can tell as I too lost everything but by an abuser! Same healing process and when you no longer look for anyone else to blame but yourself- that’s how one can see someone is truly working on changing the only thing we can -ourselves! I was hoping Bill was going to ask more direct and uncomfortable questions than a true friend can, and he did. Yet, as if he felt embarrassed for asking he would answer over top Army who was willing to respond to every question. But, then being a considerate listener he would stop to listen to Bill! If you didn’t see his other recent podcast on you tube with his friend- you will learn a lot more from Army in how he was, and how he changed!
Everyone lay off of Bill...it's his podcast, he's getting his swerve on, he obviously enjoying himself while discussing this topic, he can talk all he wants... Do you realize how stoked Armie Hammer is for this opportunity to be on this podcast in an effort to rehabilitate his image? BTW I'm rooting for him and hope to see him in future projects. Everyone has made mistakes and he was cleared legally. He seems to be in a better place now. Plus, he rocked as the Winklvoss twins in Social Network.

There's an even better podcast with Armie called "Armie Hammer Breaks Silence: Overcoming Adversity and Finding Inner Peace ". They talk more about him in details.
Thank you!
This COULD have been the most interesting interview of the year - instead I'm wondering if I can get through it without clicking off.
Exactly 😮
I only made it 2/3 way through. I loved seeing Armie and hearing what he had to say. But damn, Maher is just SO overbearing.
@VioletWaxwing I dropped out too. He was just babbling.
Wow, running through the comments before watching this and literally EVERYONE is saying the same thing. Personally I think it’s the booze. People who drink are terrible listeners and think they sound amazing!
Did you watch Armie on Piers Morgan last night? A truly great & highly insightful interview. Something Bill didn't pull off, frustratingly.
!!
I want to see Armie on the screen again. I wasn't ready for him to go away and I want him back.
Bill Maher is just so unbelievably full of himself. I just can't take him anymore. I only stopped by to hear Armie Hammer attempt to worm his way outta everything that's been said about him.
Exactly. Thank you.
Go watch the Pierce Morgan interview... he actually lets Armie speak and answer questions... this is just a Bill Maher chat.
When I talk to a friend, I always make sure not to dominate the conversation. Because that’s not a conversation. But wise old Bill knows best.
pot. I recognize it because I only do it when I'm stoned
When Armie said that ‘You end up better off than BEFORE the trauma,’ I SO wanted him to expand on that! Bill, pay attention, dammit!😭🤣💕🩷🙏
We missed out on what might have been one of the great interviews. Armie is poised and a gentleman.
Be nice.
Totally agree. Look at the facts. Let’s stop smearing his name.
I agree, completely. So glad Armie is back.
@ChangingTides777Actually, these ARE facts. Look it up.
Unfortunately, many prefer to ignore facts - it’s so much easier to hate out of envy, too. You are right, this actor deserves his reputation and career back.
@ChangingTides777Says who?
He’s not letting Armie talk. I want to hear the story from the source. It’s a little annoying. He keeps cutting him off and talking over him.
"100 percent"
Man I really enjoyed this interview. The banter between those two was so fun to listen to. Armie is just so cool.
I love Armie. I always stood with him / by him. The media coverage was undignified.
My 90 year old father didn’t get many visitors but when he did he talked on and on the same way Bill does. Lonely people do this. I often fast forward while Bill is going on and on so I can hear what the guest has to say.
He IS aging
Unmarried guy, you know 😁
Clarification: The child situation Armie experienced wasn’t by a Catholic priest- it was by a Protestant pastor.
Really doesn’t matter, actually. What matters is he was a child and was abused by an adult who had trust of his family. That takes a lot of time and work to heal from.
No difference. A trusted religious leader despoils a young boy😢😢
@@mariannelaba Religious or pretending to be religious - either way, it was a “trusted” adult who abused that trust. It could have been a teacher, a family friend, whatever. What matters it was an adult. As a mother, I don’t wish such experience on anyone’s child.
Who cares? Are you a P.R. person for the Catholic Church?
Still belongs to a church. Still preaches about God.
Bill’s flippancy with Armie being abused by a priest made me cringe. “you got fucked by a priest…”
I think Armie was really honest here.
Lol he ate a fucking human being.. bet you think he's cute tho.. huh?
He ate a fucking human being.. bet you think he's cute and misunderstood.. right?
Guys an actor. Watch House of Hammer. It’s a family of monsters.
This was honest and I loved it!
I feel like Glen Powell came in after Armie was canceled and took all his roles. lol.
"canceling" is a fantasy of empowerment from people who never got picked for sports. We need to stop talking about it as though it's anything tangible.
Somebody in the comment section once wrote that Glen Powell looks Like a Lego man and I will never be able to forget that picture. 🤣
Glen Powell is literally Matthew McConaughey in Twisters
@@cafeAmericanoWhat in the fuck are you talking about? The term is used because “cancellation”, in show business, generally means that a production has been ended prematurely. Lately, it’s been used ironically in reference to individuals who’s careers in show business have been effectively ended or greatly diminished, typically do to some social faux pas on their part outside of their work. What isn’t “tangible” about that? What are you having difficulty understanding here? Ask some more questions and I’ll clear up your confusion around this basic concept.
I have loved watching Armie Hammer in movies. He really embodies the characters. It’s past time for him to return to movies.
The interview I didn't know I needed. I enjoyed this so much. Would love to see Armie back in movies.
How can he be cancelled for cannibalism if he never ate anyone?
He was falsely accused of rape.
😂😂😂😂😂
Good point!! 😂
He basically admits it when he explains the dopamine issues
Tom cruise caught him. Everyone knows that lol
I never clicked on an episode of this show quicker tbh 😆😅
"How did we get to Covid?"
Oh Bill, you find a way to make everything about Covid all the time.
I really would have preferred to hear what Armie has to say instead of Bill.
BILL! Tell Armie to give Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg a call. He should be a part of the "Unwoke" Production Company. I think the world is a spectrum and people make mistakes and we should accept people for thier strengths and shortcomings.
Bill let Armie talk, plssss
Its his show. His party. If your an Armie fan go watch his movies. This is an avenue for Bill Maher to present himself. It’s why it’s call Real Time w BILL MAHER. You are kind of dumb.
Jesus Bill.. Sometimes you need to do the interview... My God this guy can't stop talking about how great, and Rich he is
Does anyone else wonder who he will leave his money to .... his sister doesn't have any children either, as far as I know ... just thinking out loud lol!
@@murraynet1A 100 foot platinum and diamond statue of himself
Thanks for having him on i always thought he was black listed for absolutely no good reason at all
Hope Armie gets a come back. he is honest. no one tells the both side of the story - cant trust media/biased journalists. thanks bill for giving him a platform. i will buy tickets to watch his movies
SAME!!!!!!
HOW do you know he's honest?
I hope he gets back into films. He’s a great talent and doesn’t deserve to lose his career for this.
Absolutely!
Good Lord... Let him tell his story and stop interrupting.
I was excited to hear Armie but man! Who's the guest here? ;-) I wish Armie returns to big screen soon!
Armie seems so honest. And we love it.
I’ve always loved Armie. I very much want to see him him act again.
Thanks you, I was hungry to see Armie again. I miss you as an actor. I agree that when Bill is stoned he talks too much but that's what Club Random is. AH brave of you and glad to learn you are phoenixing through this. I want to see Part 2 of this interview.
Bill, thx very much for this wonderful chat. And Armie, you are so so cute, you are loved. Know that.
It’s so refreshing to hear someone take responsibility for their actions and be self aware enough to take the opportunity to heal, and learn from it
Agreed
Where the heck do you see the responsibility? I see no remorse.
Gosh, I would love to hear Armie speak!
The Grindr joke is so true. My chats at 9am on a tuesday are worse than his
😂
Your chats are worst than talking about wanting to cut off peoples heads and eat them? Ya thats not good or healthy. I dont think Armie is a cannibal and I have empathy for him. But lets not pretend there is anything normal or healthy about this sort of sex.
Gross
i miss movies with Armie I hope he will be back on screen again
That was fun to watch. Looking forward to seeing Armie Hammer next chapter in the entertainment industry. Good luck buddy.
Good thing Armie didn't eat Bill for interrupting him all the time
I’m really glad you did this interview with Hammer, Bill. Thanks for doing this!
Heraclitus Said, you can‘t step into the Same River twice, for it‘s Not the Same River and Not the Same man.
I‘m glad Armie is finally telling his side of the Story. Love the honesty.❤
Love this interview. This is coming from a 64-year-old woman who gets it. You gentlemen really get it. Women who get hurt sometimes want to hurt you any way they can. They can justify it. Happy that Arnie Hammer is in a better place. He’s still a great actor. Good luck!
I appreciate the honesty of this conversation. Humility is golden.
OK I am going to say it. I think Armie Hammer is intelligent, quick witted and HOT.
And a rapist, cannibalistic serial killer? If that's what you're into, more power 2 u....
Armie really needed to say: OK enough about you how about me?
Went to high school with Armie. Had a G-wagon and the license plate said Hammer time 😂😂😂 wishing him well
Welcome back Armie ❤
Ew
Careful, he might ask you to dinner.
When a rich person says that they’re broke, they mean that they’re down to their last few million dollars.
I haven't watched the ep yet, but if he's selling timeshares in a polo shirt and a name tag, he's probably not a millionaire anymore.
Just means they're not the richest person in their social circle anymore.
This guy doesn't have family money, I believe he is broke.
No he is actually broke
like Spacey who lost his home. And only has a few more homes left.
Thank you for this guest
I didn’t think Bill Maher was going to be the cringe worthy one of the two. Armie seems to have gotten some good therapy. Maybe he can help Bill.
Honestly smart of Armie… Bill is such a smug, condescending fuck, Armie looks so good by comparison.
What was the podcast?
@@CC-mr5xq painful lessons with Armie Hammer
Everyone lay off of Bill...it's his podcast, he's getting his swerve on, he obviously enjoying himself while discussing this topic, he can talk all he wants... Do you realize how stoked Armie Hammer is for this opportunity to be on this podcast in an effort to rehabilitate his image? BTW I'm rooting for him and hope to see him in future projects. Everyone has made mistakes and he was cleared legally. He seems to be in a better place now. Plus, he rocked as the Winklvoss twins in Social Network.
Is Maher drunk? I commend Armie for his composure restraint and failure to bad mouth his ex-wife.
@ChangingTides777Elizabeth, is that you, dear 😂?
i wouldnt call it failure, id call it refusal. i noticed the same on piers morgan. and she really did him dirty. but she also ruined the career of the main provider of her and her kids.
@@marykay7878 True. A smart woman, no matter how hurt by infidelity, wouldn’t drag her children’s father through that. Hopefully, she and the rest of the maenads who participated in the vicious frenzy to destroy this man will come to Jesus soon and make a documentary on their own toxic femininity. We all gotta learn to face the music, right?
Doesn't it say a lot about a man that the ex-wife has nothing good to say about him?
This was a good podcast and no I don't hate Armie I also wish him good luck. ✌
Love the way he's talks with his hands
Armie needs to grace the silver screen again. It has been proven it was all fault but the opinion of ignorants seems to be prevalent in this scare society. He is a great actor.
@ChangingTides777 If you are uninformed in the film world, it's not a shame, it's just very unpleasant...
I wish good grammar was prevalent in your post. I also wish you had better tastes in actors.
@@JamesWyatt-o5j You know, I may not speak (write) flawlesslyEnglish (not my native language), but I speak 3 other languages. You? Maybe let's count who has how many diplomas? Believe me, I would win.
I value Armie primarily as a person, but I also love his film and theater work. If you don't like him, just leave him alone, don't humiliate him, don't belittle his merits.
