@Film Extra Djocovid only turned around their h2h when Federer hit his mid 30s, before that Federer had an 18-9 record against him. Djocovid is extremely lucky to play now when the younger players are weak, Federer is old, and the whole sport has been slowed and homogenized for baseliners.

I remember after Roger beat Kyrgios at the Miami Open in 2017 a reporter at the press conference asked him if he'd spoken to Kyrgios about getting his shite together and Roger said he didn't think it was his place to do that, that if Nick wanted help or advice it was up to him to ask. Clearly Kyrgios doesn't care about wasting his talent as long as he's making enough money being mediocre. And even then I'm not sure money would sway him that much. He is, first and foremost, a hypocrite who says he hates tennis yet continues to play. No one is forcing him to be a tennis player. It's way past time for Kyrgios to shite or get off the pot.

@@Reuben_95 That's the positive way to look at things. But if you look historically not ever a player had come to work hard and succeed late in his career. And in fact Wawrinka is not a counter example to this since he has always worked very hard since his teenage years, as he always says. The fact that he got success late is due to many factors that do not contradict the fact that Kyrgios will probably continue to have a decent career but will never make it to the top (unfortunately)

The greatest thing about Roger Federer is he's a nice guy and has stayed true to himself and his upbringing who just happens to be the greatest tennis player of all time. You really can't say that about a lot of superstars. People who've known him for 20-30 years always say he's exactly the same guy he's always been. Leaving aside his great talents and achievement the credit goes to his parents for raising a good person.

what RF has achieved in tennis is the level of pure art and that's the only relevant thing for us as humans , the way he plays is a detachment from the mundane and inspires us...his legacy is timeless and inspirational , no player ever will grace this game with such elegance and beauty .. he is the ultimate tennis emblem regardless of who has the most records or slams etc because ultimately sheer beauty will surpass the greed for collecting titles and the madness for numbers etc ... hard-work is mandatory but its not the only thing to become the GOAT , if we only care about counting slams and hardwork then I fear that we have become robots ...

Federer représente exactement l’esprit suisse: la perfection, la constance et l’humilité.

Few people transcend their chosen profession. In sport, IMO there are four global sporting icons that have done that; Ali, Pele, Maradona and Federer. Ali stands head and shoulders above all the others due to what he had to undergo living in an apartheid system and being in such a brutal sport. However, like Ali, Feds also has a mercurial personality and a unique level of eloquence about him which endears him to so many. I'm sure we'll see much more of him even after he hangs up his racquet.

    Roger Federer
    The GOAT
This man changed tennis and gave the world tennis on another level. Created Rafa and Nole. The modern game evolved because of him. He is the 🐐.

Rafa, for me is the GOAT in tennis, but even he can't match Roger's humility on and off court. Respect!
