Honestly, I wasn't ready for Roger's retirement so I still can’t sink in his leaving. I had been aware for 10 years that Roger's retirement would come soon especially in 2013. But whenever he fell down, he surged back, which made me feel like I was on the cloud nine. So this time , again, part of me was thinking that he would return, at least he would choose Wimbledon as his last destination. So it was out of the blue. I am still missing him play tennis.

It felt so special to witness your last dance live at Laver Cup in London - definitely a dream come true. I'll remember 23rd - 25th Sept of 2022 even when I'm old and senile only because I got to see The Roger Federer. Cried when he cried, smiled when he smiled, clapped when he won, cheered when he lost and that's all I ever wanted to do. Thank you for making us love the sport and you. Love and massive respect!

I have still not come to terms with him retiring! It's like I'm defiant! I don't want to say goodbye, but I know it's the proper and healthy thing to do! I will never forget scheduling everything around his matches, whether it was my work, my weight training, or my sleep. Didn't matter if it was a qualifier or Rafa- I was watching! Especially since 2014, when I started to appreciate him more and more! We had more of Roger than we could have imagined! Thanks for all the great memories!

Yes there will be other greats that are coming through the ranks but to have this much admiration from all of his tennis rivals and ppl who just PALING LOVE HIM LIKE I DO (still wear all your gear RF and have been using every one of your rackets as you changed through the years) and will until I can no longer play. I am 65 this last sept 25 and I keep going because of you. Still playing singles against 30-50 year olds and beat them regularily and playing more doubles now. You are the G.O.A.T. in my opinion not because of all the titles because they will always be surpassed at some point but because of WHO YOU ARE AS A PERSON...... you are the BEST Have a great retirement....you deserve to do some other things now as you have given us and the sport so much joy over the years.

I think a lot of people felt that way, I thought he could play at the top till he was 45 but of course his knee cannot hold up.
