Our team really needs restructuring badly. We need to do what the Sharks are doing this off - season. Mike Grier is really doing a fantastic job rebuilding/restructuring that roster. They got 2 very solid veterans in Barclay Goodrow and Jake Walman and a second round pick. They promoted Ryan Warsofsky to HC, Will Smith will join the team next year to go along with their young core of Calen Addison, Ty Dellandrea and Macklin Celebrini. That's how you build a winning team and we should definitely follow suit and model what they're doing right now.
You can't buy out Schmidt. What's the constant saying? Oh right. "He's great for the room." That's what we keep hearing from his apologists. Too bad being "great for the room" isn't a meaningful stat that can determine if the team will win or lose on the ice. He does need to be bought out. But that would require Chevy being cutthroat and making a hard, but necessary move. And we all know he's not capable of that. Gotta reward that loyalty.

I watched late Tuesday Central Time Peg City Hockey man's video on supposed serious problems with the Jets' roster as things had stood. There's no question, with 9 straight playoff games with 4 or more goals allowed, of a need to make DRASTIC changes to the roster. Yes generating offence was an issue in each of games 2-4 of the 2024 Avs-Jets series but did any game, bar the 1st (a 7-6 Jets' win in regulation), end up being decided by just 1 goal? Nope. I could give multiple examples this past postseason of Canadian NHL teams that adjusted their play after having lost a game by multiple goals, with, just in the 1st round, the: - Leafs' having won game 2 of the April-May Leafs-Bruins series 3-2 in regulation after having lost game 1 of that series 5-1 - Canucks' having won game 3 of the April-May Preds-Canucks series 2-1 in regulation after having lost the previous game 4-1 - Oilers' having won game 3 of the April-May Kings-Oilers series 6-1 after having allowed 4 or more goals in each of games 1-2, losing the 2nd of those games 5-4 in OT It'll be interesting to find out what GM Cheveldayoff does during what remains of the Jets' offseason, which technically began early last month Central Time shortly after the Avs had eliminated them 6-3 in game 5 at Canada Life Centre.
@@wainber1 I agree problem is Chevy doesn't like buying guys out so Schmidt will be back. I like the Demelo resign for top. Besides Mcgroarty/Ehlers I don't expect Chevy move like he should Stanley,Iafallo,Pionk.

This video was 1 month old, Schmidt was bought out 2 months ago, am I missing something or are you just a month behind in the news?
If Schmidt and Pionk are here next year and we lose McGroarty......I won't know what to say. At that point, I probably hate Chevy's guts.
Glad that we re-signed DeMelo

He was the same way in Vancouver. He doesn't fit in anywhere
Ehlers does not get you a top pair D man sorry not even close he’s a 2nd line winger who disappears in the playoffs
Only 1 year left the Jets will keep him.
