The Ehlers-Scheifele-Vilardi line is my favorite line than Iafallo-Monahan-Connor is the 2nd line if the jets do decide to sign my Favorite Hab/Jet Sean Monahan
I don't think that players should be telling the coach who they play with
When looking at the available options Monahan very well is the best one if this team wants to remain competitive. Lambert is not ready for 2nd line minutes, and I would hate to ruin him this early in his career.
100%. 1 season. Wyatt is not the norm. Most guys dont make it at 21.

I Agree they should target a clear number 1b center like a Kadri,Stamkos,Reinhart,Horvat ect but those guys arnt avaliable I don't think lindholm/Guentzel are good enough.
We should just let Perfetti,Lambert,Chibi,Lucius, and Mcgroarty after NCAA share ice time in and out lineup grow instead of wasting on veterans.
Cycle them so maybe each only play 30-45gp like goalies If Lambert makes mistakes has bad night put Lucius or Chibi in his spot.
We also have Barlow but hes still only 19 and will be playing WJCU20.

Nope. They trading elhers because they cant figure it out. Where to put him. Make fhe ogher guys happy. Pay him his next contract? A bridge contract? Pay him 8 mill? 9 mill? What do you pay elhers? Is he your number one left wing?
I like Monahan, but not sure as a second line center ? and didn't do much in
the playoffs, where the Jets need some grit. He's a good powerplay guy, and
good for the regular season, so the Jets have a tough decision to make.
No offense but alot of jets didn't do anything its not fair to fully judge him alone
They should just get rid of Pionk, Smidt, Monahan, and maybe Stanley (he could be 3rd line option)
The jets will never be a playoff contender unless Scheifele is their #2 center. And they have a true top end #1 center.

Monahan would be great to keep. 4.5 million would be perfect and he won't get more than that. And they're gonna buy out Schmidt, and when Monahan is like 60% on the face-off. They don't have a better 2nd line centre.
Lambert isn't there yet, neither is Perfetti, not for a 2nd line
And Ehlers should be traded for a defenseman, he's not consistent enough.
I'm always skeptical of making trades at the deadline. "Hey, we have a good team that's making the playoffs. Let's throw in new players that could ruin the chemistry."
They should keep him Monahan , get rid of Stanley , Poink and get a better defenders or get from there own system. Bring up some faster wingers even if they have to trade some people do it !!
If the Jets don't want to give Mony a raise Vilardi is the only guy that can play center at an NHL level that they have. Actually with the way he can control the puck he's better than Mark at Center. Mark is a horse, and can do anything, but we all have seen how Vilardi controls play on the pp, and it's that type of creativity and thinking that you need controlling the play. If you put a rookie at center, you'd soon become the joke of the league, even Bedard was a joke at center, he just survived because the team isn't concerned with winning.
I was calling for them to try Vilardi at center all season. The fact that they didn't at least try him at center is stupid. We may not have needed to trade for another center. He also get's a lot of his points in tight in front of the net, that's why center could be the perfect spot for him.
Lambert at 160lbs as centre is not going happen. Who is Colorado, dallas, vegas going ro match up against? Lambert going ro handle MCD in edm? Mark them down for a goal.
Lambert is the right option. Our young guys need to play in the NHL. Perfetti and Vladdy can be the alternative options.
I think they want monahan to perfetti to learn from him. Is winnipeg and team ready to take a step back to put in 4 or 5 rookies?
Lowry would excell as a 2c with 2 skilled wingers, kind of like how Dallas uses Benn

Yes we should but we should get rid of Pionk, Schmitt and Appleton maybe Logan Stanley Resign Ehlers, Toffoli and Such then bring up Lambert and get some new Defenseman

The NHL, more than any other league, changes in it's style from regular season to playoffs. Guys that can do well, even very well in the regular season are sometimes inert in the playoffs - many of our players don't have the speed, toughness and team-oriented blood and guts approach that you see on Florida and Dallas, etc. Forwards that fit this description of solid regular season performers, but soft in the playoffs include Nino, Mason App, KC. And especially Sean Monahan. Not tough or fast enough for playoff hockey. Ironically, NickE , despite smaller size and being a bit difficult to play with at times, is tough enough for playoff hockey.
I love boring Sean monahan. Very boring simple quiet guy. His “yes no” answers are fantastic! He plays smart boring non physical brand of hockey. Just a simple all business individual

Ehlers, Schmidt and Perfetti are NOT PLAYOFF performers. Use there cap space to resign Dillon, DeMalo, Monahan and Brossoit. Toffoli would be a bonus.
